Called to have someone look at my leaky humidifier and someone was out within an HOUR to take a look! The problem took about 45 mins to tackle, and afterwards the explanation of what was wrong and how it was solved was really clear. They answered all of my questions, honestly too. Very trustworthy. Will be contacting them to replace my HVAC when the time comes.

Reached out to Chicago Heating and Cooling back in July of 2021 looking to replace the blower in my two pipe vertical fan coil system. I received a one sentence e-mail from Matthew in return saying it wasn't possible to replace a blower motor with something bigger/better. I have no experience with these types of systems so I responded and asked if there was anything that could be done to improve the system and I received no reply.

I reached out to a few other HVAC companies in the area and got much more professional and helpful responses. One company came out and quoted replacing the entire vertical fan coil system. Another came out and quoted gutting the existing cabinet and retrofitting a new system. Both companies made several suggestions as to how to improve the efficiency of the system outside of just replacing the vertical fan coil unit.

What CH&C said was impossible turned out to be very possible. We had our 30+ year system replaced with something new, more efficient, and 300CFM more powerful. If you're in a high-rise and looking for HVAC contractors, I'd look elsewhere. Edit: I see the owner has responded to my review to show how helpful and professional they are. I've attached the only info I ever received from them, phone, email or otherwise.

We had to get our central heating and cooling separated for our two units - this requires installing new ductwork and getting a new furnace and roof top ac unit. We got another contractor to come out and give us a quote. Marcus was able to give us a quote that was half the price of the other. This was because Marcus was very detailed when walking through our house to look at our current HVAC system - he took notes, pictures, and planned out the project. because of this he was able to find ways to still use parts of our existing system rather than rip it all out. Matt and Marcus were very transparent and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers. The installation went smooth and they were able to complete the project quickly. I will definitely be using them again!

I called to get someone out to fix the AC in one of my units. We scheduled a time to meet and the guy never showed up. He called me about 30 minutes before to confirm so I'm not sure why he did that. When I called he didn't answer. My tenants unit is really hot and we both made the time to wait for him, clearly he didn't care. The neighborhood is on the west side of Chicago, so it's a little rough but if you're scared just say that and tell me you can't come out. It's been difficult to get repairs done in my building because of businesses like this. Avoid if your black or brown. Clearly they don't service your communities.

My technician, Marcus, was incredible! He repaired by 20+ year old Oven door professionally and in a short amount of time. Marcus was able to come to my house in the same day and resolved the issue when at least 2 other Appliance Repair technician's could not figure out how to fix. Well done, and I will highly recommend to anyone and certainly use again in the future. - Nate

I had the amazing pleasure working with this company this May when my A/C unexpectedly broke! Last year, I had one of their techs, Marcus, came out and assessed my A/C which stopped blowing cool air, and he thoroughly looked through my entire unit and gauged every scenario that could have happened and found it was a Freon leak. He sealed my unit shut, and it worked perfectly!

He was SO professional, explained everything super well so I understood (I have NO knowledge of anything HVAC related) and everything was perfect! Sadly (probably because my unit was so old) the hole got bigger by the end of the year and by the end of the season the unit stopped working and had a condensation issue. So I called CH&C again and not only was Matt able to get us someone the next day, Marcus came again which was great!

He remembered everything and that "continuity of care" was awesome since he knew my unit, what happened before, and the area it was in. He took apart and assessed every little detail and it was determined the best option (and he gave us multiple options) would be that the unit needs to be replaced. Their quote was SUPER reasonable and they were literally able to install for me same day and they were super quick! Matt and Marcus came out and they were both super professional, explained everything, did an amazing job!

They put a really nice unit in my house and I've never had such good A/C performance in my unit! I HIGHLY recommend this company for HVAC related needs! I will definitely will be calling them if I have other needs in the future! :)

Matthew was professional, personable, and helpful in my experience with him. There were some issues that arose during the repair but he took full responsibility for the repair and ensured that we were satisfied with the end product. I would absolutely recommend Chicago Heating and Cooling in the future!

TL;DR- Look no further for your HVAC needs. Hands down the best company I've ever worked with for my home needs. A couple years ago my wife and I were clueless and broke having just bought our first condo. We had also just learned an very important and expensive lesson - "Never go with the cheapest bidder just because it's cheap" After getting burned by a less reputable company, and faced with a non functioning AC during August, we reached out to Matt at Chicago Heating and Cooling.

Not only was Matt professional, prompt and honest but he went out of his way to explain each of our options and worked with us to find the best one based on our circumstances. We've since worked with Chicago Heating & Cooling a number of times and will NEVER use anyone else because we know with Chicago Heating & Cooling we are going to get exceptional work at a reasonable price from a honest and hardworking company.

Matt is awesome. Be honest and up front with him from the start, tell him your needs and budget, and he will work with you. He will give you the best options pending your particular situation. I highly recommend him and his company, because he did a great job on our AC/heater and has been great with respect to follow-up services.

Always a pleasure to find a trustworthy and professional business. Matt is extremely helpful and his employees are top notch. I have used them for my own home and a couple rental properties I have. I am always pleased. Matt is patient and takes the time to explain any work that needs to be done any options available. Pleasure to do business with and a really nice guy!

Matt came out to our house the same day we called, was quick and efficient, explained everything that he was doing, and allowed me to watch him fix the problem. I would call then out again if needed.

Excellent service and work done. I was referred to them, because I went to someone else first and was quoted a much higher price and a time frame of 3-5 days with no heat in the middle of winter. Matt at Chicago Heating & Cooling was able to get the part the same day he quoted me the price and the part was installed and working the same night.

I Enjoyed watching Mathew work. He was very detailed in the way he does things, and always making sure that the work was done correctly. He never rushed through anything, and in the end i have a wonderful AC and Heater unit that is working perfectly.

Chicago Heating and Cooling is a godsend. I have used those ubiquitous repair companies in the past to repair my appliances and paid a lot only to have the same problem return. Matthew at Chicago Heating repaired my Garland stove, Sub Zero refrigerator, air conditioner and Miele dishwasher.
