We got our new energy efficient roof installed back at the end of 2021 and quite happy with the results. Los Gatos Roofing was responsive to our inquiries and not pushy. We wanted rooftop pv solar and although the roof may have a couple of years left, we went ahead with new roof. Los Gatos Roofing worked well to coordinate with our solar installer amd offered to come inspect the roof after solar went up.

Before we decided on the new roof though, we had gotten our leaky gutters replaced by a different company (silly us.long story). Los Gatos Roofing was careful with our new gutters. One section where dry rot boards had to be replaced, the gutter didn't sit right and they repaired it at their cost. At walk through, I had a few punchlist items such as nails falling through gaps in the gutter, gaps in the gable, and damage to an attic vent screen.

All were professionally fixed. Our initial installation got rescheduled due to COVID but that's understandable and the guys showed up on time at rescheduled appointment. They worked fast and cleaned up nicely afterwards (a few nails got missed hiding in corners and bushes but understandable). We have a pool and they made sure to cover it to protect it from debris.

Our neighbors saw them working and shared with us that their roof was also done by Los Gatos Roofing a few years ago and have been problem free. We were so happy to hear that since we didn't heat that feedback until while the roof was already installed. It made me very happy with our choice. It's been 9 months now and everything seems fine during one big storm although not much rain after that.

The CertainTeed Solaris Silver Birch energy efficient roof with the ridge vent system that replaced old Ohagen boxes keep the house cooler than our old roof for sure. We turn on the AC less than before. Los Gatos Roofing price for the service and quality is reasonable.not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. I highly recommend them.

Daniel from Los Gatos Roofing was a pleasure to work with. His estimate was clear and reasonable. My neighbor and I share a common roof so we had to both reroof at the same time. Daniel got the permits and arranged the inspections which went smoothly. Our roofs were shake with no plywood underneath so they had to remove the shake and put plywood down before installing the actual roof. They finished BOTH roofs in 2 days. Los Gatos Roofing did an amazing job on my roof. They were the only company to ask to see the roof from the inside and verify what was under my decades old shingles. They answered any questions I had and were more than happy to show me any work in progress I asked to see. Our entire roof was cleared, cleaned, had new plywood, venting, insulation, gutters and downspouts installed in 3 days.

We bought our house knowing that we would have to replace the roof shortly and spoke to a number of different roofing companies before selecting LG Roofing. I cannot speak highly enough about Brandon and his crew. The communication from getting a bid, to selecting the right products for our house, to getting everything scheduled was 10 out of 10. No one likes to redo their roof or spend the kind of money it takes to get it done properly. But if you need to do it, I cannot say enough good things about LG Roofing and how they do business.

I will preface this review with a statement that is universally and fundamentally accepted as common knowledge. HOME REPAIRS SUCK! That said; A person can mitigate the suck by hiring the right people. In my experienced opinion, the folks at Los Gatos Roofing ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE! Here's wassup. I woke up at 3 am during an "Atmospheric River Event" to discover Niagara Falls in my bedroom.

Some rudimentary inspections on my part led me to determine that my home needed more than I was capable of doing. If I'm honest. I chose Los Gatos Roofing because I used to attend the SAP Open tennis tournament in San Jose and Los Gatos Roofing were always sponsors. It's honestly that simple as to why I called them. After that fist call though they took over and led me to roofing VICTORY!

I made a call to them and they set me a date and time for a proper inspection by a person that. Well honestly. Wasn't me. Lol. Brandon showed up on time. He was polite and respectful of my home, family and pets. He brought all the equipment that he needed and he promptly began a very thorough walk through (and walk on) of my roof. He showed me what he saw and explained to me what he saw.

Now just because I don't know the roofing trade doesn't mean I'm incapable of comprehending the process. Brandon explained everything to me in terms that were clear and not insulting or demeaning. He promised a quote with options. Within a day or so I had the quote. It was reasonable and simple to read. It was akin to a DimSum menu.

Pick the options you want. It was that simple. Flash forward to work start day. A crew of no less than 6 dudes showed up PROMPTLY as promised. Within maybe? 20 minutes? There were dudes ALL OVER my home removing the old roof. About 2 hours in Brandon was knocking on my door and walking me through the teardown process. By the end of day one. The roof was stripped.

The refuse was hauled away and the crew was sweeping up. Day two. Brandon came by and explained some simple revisions to the bid. The guys began laying the underlay materials and fixing some minor stuff discovered in teardown. Again they swept up before leaving and said "goodbye" and "thank you". Day 3 a group of dudes showed up with a super cool gutter cutter machine.

They literally spit out my custom gutters like spaghetti noodles. It was sick! (I'm a tradesman as well. Just with cars not roofing stuff. But I was FULLY ABLE TO GEEK OUT on their really cool gutter machine. ) They explained that the machine is $ but that it lets them control quality. That's a PLUS. About noon three brothers (yes they have a team of actual brothers that learned from their dad to be roofers.

Pretty rad IMO) they immediately began their process. At the end of that day. They thanked me. Swept up and left. They gave me a time that they'd be back. (And kept it). They wrapped up. The city inspector signed off. Bobs your uncle and I got a roof. Contrast that with the absolute FUSTERCLUCK of an experience that I'm having with the window guy and I'd give Brandon, crew and Los Gatos Roofing as a whole 10 jabillion stars by comparison.

I cannot compliment them enough. I had to pay, but that's OK because I'm 100% confident in my new roof. Why? Because I watched and monitored everything and what I saw was TOP NOTCH WORK done by PROFESSIONALS that CARE. They clearly cared about their work, my home and my experience. We had a tile roof, but rats have breached the exterior and we needed to get a new roof to stop them from gaining access. Several friends recently had Los Gatos Roofing install a new roof. They were all raved about the service of Los Gatos roofing. So with that I called them and they sent out one of their sales professional who showed us some options.

About a month later the crew arrived. Very professional and courteous. After removing the old roof they cleaned up around the yard. The next day the roofers and the gutter guys showed up and quickly went to work. By the end of the day they were done including cleanup in and around the yard. The work was top notch. A week later we got a message that out salesman would be by to setup a ladder for the city inspector.

The inspection went off without a hitch. We are very pleased with the professionalism of Los Gatos Roofing and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof.

It's unusual to leave a positive review for a company you opted not to use for your re-roofing project, but it bears mentioning that Los Gatos Roofing is a high-class organization worth recommending to anyone in search of roofing expertise. In the end, our decision came down to two companies, and we chose another vendor for reasons that had nothing to do with any fault of Los Gatos Roofing. Dale, the Los Gatos Roofing rep, provided a detailed estimate, was patient with us as we asked doubtless naive questions, and was superb at explaining various options and costs, with pros and cons of each choice. Strong experience with Los Gatos Roofing across their team. There's lots of demand before the next big Bay Area rain front, so we appreciated they made the time when others wouldn't. Cost was at or below other estimates. No fuss, no upselling, no drama. Office staff was quick, competent and clear. Folks arrived when they said they'd arrive, roof fixes were hands-off, and everybody we dealt with at the company was professional. Appreciate the team, would use again (. but hope we won't need to).

When Dale told us that Los Gatos Roofing would replace the roof, skylights and guttering on our 3000 square foot ranch house in three days, we were skeptical; but his crew not only completed the task in the time, they did so to a high standard and at a competitive rate. Day 1: Just before 8am, a crew of about 10 arrived to tear off the roof. Within a couple of hours, the old roof and guttering had been removed and taken away in three trucks that arrived with choreographed precision.

As the last of the demolition crew was leaving, a truck carrying the plywood and underlay arrived; what was particularly impressive was that this delivery included the extra wood needed to make repairs to old termite damage that had only been identified an hour or so earlier during the demolition process. By the end of the afternoon, all the plywood was in place and mostly nailed down.

Day 2: Work started work promptly at 8am, within a couple of hours the ply layer was completed including sanding down. Right on cue, trucks carrying the tiles, skylights, gutters and down pipes arrived. As the tiles were unloaded, the installation of the underlay began. Meanwhile, the gutters were extruded from a machine to the exact measurements while another team fitted them.

By midday, underlay, gutters and down pipes were all in place, and tiling started. Day 3: The crew started work at 8am. By 3pm they had completed the tiling, installed ridge vents and the new skylights. An hour later, after cleaning up around both the front and back of the house, they were done, all in less than three days!

Our estimator and project manager, Brandon, was very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. Responses to our questions and requests through the entire process came back quickly. The crews were on time and professional. The roof removal and installation went very quickly as did the gutter installation. Los Gatos Roofing also had the best price of the three estimates we got. We are very pleased with the results.

Last year I called Los Gatos Roofing to repair a leak in my clay tile roof. They took a look and said that there were some other cracked tiles around the roof that needed attention as well. They quoted me $800 to do the work. I agreed. When they arrived, two men were up on the roof for 20 minutes and left. I received the bill for $800. I had agreed to this, of course, but this didn't seem right, so I called to question it.

I believe it was Randy who seemed indignant that I had questioned the bill (I told him that I realized that I had agreed to it, but had questions) He went on about how they had the cost of looking at the roof (they did), getting the materials (I've done that myself in 45 minutes) and that he had come by a couple of times to supervise (never happened). When I asked about repairing the other areas, he said that they had done so. (They had not). I paid the bill, but will not recommend or use them again.

Absolutely beyond excellent. They did a fantastic job of making sure the roof's infrastructure was perfect before they started installing the shingles. They could have easily laid the shingles over borderline wood and for 10 years it might be just fine, but they took the time and patience to ensure everything was perfect. Tells me I got what I paid for and the roof will last.

I opted for the 50 year roof and can tell the quality of the shingles compared to my neighbors is not even close. Mine are so much better. They installed a roof that not only looks good, but will keep the house cooler and looking good for years to come. I am very, very happy with Los Gatos Roofing.

Better than excellent. My house was built in the late 60's and had two sets of shingles on it. They cleaned all that up, laid a new foundation, and did an excellent job of making sure the underlying infrastructure was perfect before laying a shingle. I have installed roofing myself and was very happy that they took no shortcuts, but ensured the job was perfect from beginning to end.

Brendon was amazing, even though he cannot re-roof my house. When he arrived at my house for the estimation, he immediately determined that his team cannot handle my roof. He informed me right away. Nonetheless, he did not leave immediately. Instead, at no charge, he spent extra 30 minutes explaining all the details that I need to know when re-roofing my house.

In this case, I can avoid leakage or warranty problems in the future. At this end, Brendon even provided the contact information of a couple of other trustworthy roofing companies. I cannot thank him enough for the service he provided. Based on this interaction, I believe he wants to help the homeowners (not just the business). If I did not have such a complicated roof, I would ask him for my re-roofing job for sure. p.s.: I called Las Gatos Roofing to get an estimation of re-roofing. I chose Los Gatos Roofing to replace my 30+ year old roof this past Spring. They were not the lowest bidder, but I was impressed with Jon, the Project Manager and his communication and follow-up. He was always available and willing to answer my questions and kept me informed of schedule and progress. The roof went on in short order and the crew made sure the site was cleaned of nails and other construction debris afterwards. Unfortunately, a few weeks after the new roof went on, I discovered that the roofers put a nail through an air conditioning pipe that ran along the roofline and I lost my AC during a pretty bad heat wave.

Despite the fact that Los Gatos Roofing has a disclaimer in their contract protecting them from this type of liability, they agreed to split the cost of repairing the punctured pipe with me. Now that's a customer centric company!

What an wonderful experience with this company and with Dale the project manager. Everything you hope for in a contracting experience. They showed up on time each day and finished the project early and on budget. If only every contractor did this! They even cleaned up after each day by blowing off dirt and mess so it would minimize being tracked into the house. 100% would use them again.

To Whom It May Concern: This letter is our personal recommendation for the Los Gatos Roofing. We recently had our home reroofed and we couldn't be more satisfied with the way the project turned out. As a "returning" customer and as a "hands-on" homeowner, it was a pleasure to work with the Project Manager, Juan Hernandez on our project. From start to finish, Juan took care of us.

Victor came by and gave good advice and a quote which I felt was a little high but Ok, given the high reviews in Yelp. He shared a bunch of pictures of the condition of the roof, which had some broken tiles and gaps between the tiles which had to be filled. Later I tried to set up an appointment, but the receptionist made it a bit tricky to set it up. Really, this is not the type of person who should be handling scheduling customers.

I can imagine they've lost some amount of business because of her through disorganization and confusion. I had to email her the estimate (why?) and then she never got back to me so I had to call again to get it set up a few days later. I bought maybe she didn't get the email. Maybe they have so much business it doesn't matter and she's a relative so they can't replace her? Victor came back with another crew member on time as scheduled and they did the job quickly and well, as far as I can tell. Still, overall, a good experience with the only bad part being the receptionist.

Updated review on Feb 22, 2021: After Los Gatos Roofing saw my review they called me and offered to install the gutter free of cost. I am happy that they care about customers satisfaction. So, I updated my review to include this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We hired them to install new roof at our home. Had a disappointing experience with them (may be my expectations were high).

Though they did a decent job in installing roof, they wanted me to pay extra for gutter they should have installed in first place. When they provided the estimate they gave a single quote to install all roof and gutters (included as per contract). But they did not install gutter on my flat roof in the backyard, when I called and talked to Daniel Thomas he said the gutters are a matter of preference and since there were no gutters before they did not install it.

I hired them to do the right thing instead of cutting corners. They could have asked for my preference but sadly no. Now they want me to pay extra for the gutters. Make sure to they agree to what is included in the project, otherwise they will charge you extra amount.

I am so impressed with this company! I called them out to investigate a roof leak that developed during the last big storm. They climbed on the roof, crawled through the attic, did a water test and determined that the leak was at my window, not the roof. No charge! When I DO need a new roof I know who I will be calling. Thank you!

Los Gatos Roofing isn't the cheapest option (in fact it was the most expensive of our quotes) but they do quality work and are an honest company. We worked with Dale and we ran into the "nightmare scenario" - the wrong color roof was fully installed! Imagine walking out the next morning and seeing a grey roof when you ordered brown. However, Dale worked with us through various options to rectify the situation and didn't hesitate in committing to having the roof replaced (which we ultimately went with). It's tough to find a company that you can trust will do the right thing and do a good job but Los Gatos Roofing is just that.

We have a spanish tile roof. We get somewhat frequent wind damage and had 30 or so tiles that needed to be either replaced or secured back in place with some cement. maybe 10 more tiles needed to be cemented as a precaution. When the technician from Los Gatos roofing saw our nice expensive house, he quoted us $3,000 for maybe 2 - 3 hours of work. It was the worst rip-off i can imagine. We used Legacy Roofing instead and they did a very professional job for $750. Beware!

I wish I had the time to tell you how unhappy with the installation and final finishing. We had the roofing done three years ago. We had a friend contractor come and assess the work. He was surprised how corners were cut installing the roofing. This is my parents home. My parents were surprised that an inspector okayed the work. He shook his head and said it is what it is.

They worked around the existing gutter and didn't putting the finishing touches to prevent leaks. We weren't happy when the initial job was finished and now even more unhappy. Don't use them.

TL;DR: I'm very happy with the work that Los Gatos roofing did to replace my aging roof with a new roof and recommend them. When I started my roofing project, I looked at a number of roofers in the bay area. I picked Los Gatos roofing because their pricing was competitive and because both my neighbors used Los Gatos roofing recently to redo their roofs and both were happy with the experience.

I worked with Robert Brooks, was very happy with him, and recommend him. He took me through the various roof types and options, delivered samples to my house to help me choose, and served as an effective single point of contact through the process, including permitting. Ours was a complex project since it also included a large solar installation. Los Gatos roofing has worked successfully with a number of solar installers in the area and so this was a relatively easy project to execute, requiring only a small amount of coordination from my side.

Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, Los Gatos roofing delivered my project on-time and with very little fuss. Finally, the Los Altos city inspector told me that she has seen a lot of projects from Los Gatos roofing and is very happy with their work, thereby affirming my experience.

We had a couple leaks in the roof and some overdue maintenance, so I hit up Yelp, Nextdoor, and neighbors to find a good roofing company. I narrowed the list down to 3 companies with excellent reviews and had them all come out for an estimate. Los Gatos Roofing sent Victor to do the estimate, and he seemed to have a lot of experience, was very patient and answered all of my questions.

In the end, all of the roofing companies recommended the same work - replace broken tiles, add rubber collars to vent pipes, clean out debris from the valleys, and repair any other damage. But Los Gatos Roofing had the best price, so I scheduled them to come out a couple weeks later. The day arrived, and Victor came with one other worker, on time and got to work.

There were a few heavy rains afterward, and there were no more leaks, so it appears it was a job well done. Now the only thing I need to do is keep up with my roof maintenance!
