We contacted this company as we had a referral for him and the person Mason was very rude. Customer service is important and within seconds of communicating he basically yelled at me for calling him 4 times and we did call 2 times without ever getting someone to answer the phone, then he assumed that we called previously and we never had called him before.
Small Mom and Pop organization with no other person to answer the phones. There are many folks to do business with in the Vancouver area and we found 2 other companies to assist the customer that displayed professionalism and were a much bigger organization!

I would definitely call GreenLight Solar if you are interested in seeing if it works for your home and situation. I just got my first utility bill since having solar installed on my home and was quite pleased it was exactly what GreenLight Solar had told me. Thanks to Mason and the entire installation team, it was fast, professional and affordable. I look forward to many more months of no utility bills!

This company installed my solar (half of what I needed) and I was told for the life of the panels to call them if I had any issues. My ECU stopped working, I emailed to get a resolution and it took them two weeks to reach out to me. They said they would send me the information to fix it and never did so I reached out again and haven't heard back. I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company.

I chose Greenlight Solar & Roofing from the 4 bids I received for several reasons. 1) The presentation of the plan was clear, even to me without a background in solar. 2) The plan was comprehensive to capture as much solar power as possible. 3) Everyone was easy to work with and communicated well. I am extremely pleased with Greenlight as they made the whole process easy.
They communicated with me by email and phone every step of the way. They followed up to make sure I received all the information and walked me through downloading the app and how to use it. I couldn't be more pleased with the process, the results, and my tiny electrical bill. I especially appreciated the installers. Many solar systems look like a geometric puzzle on the roof with galvanized tubing connecting it all.
No galvanized tubing is visible on my roof, anywhere. The plain black panels with the black frames are beautiful and don't distract from the aesthetics of the home. The installers went the extra mile to honor my requests.

The presentation was great. The attention, information and customer service from Matt and Mason before we signed the contract was amazing. I needed to get some trees cleared first before proceeding, Mason said he would follow up with me. He called on the date and time he said he would foloow up. We signed the contract and then things changed. Phone calls stopped getting returned. Questions stopped getting answered. Incorrect information was given.
When the system did not pass the building inspection (literally over 2 missing labels), I called daily to follow up to see when the corrections would be made. Angie repeatedly told me it would be fixed "today", it took over a week. She scheduled a follow up inspection even though the corrections hadn't been completed. Before PGE came out to swap out the meter and give final approval, I had questions about operating the system and needed information. All my calls were ignored. Angie told me she would provide an owners manual, warranty information and access to a monitoring system. Yeah, Im still waiting for that as well.

Our experience working with Green Light Solar was great! They had our solar panels up and running within 2 months, which was much sooner than we thought. Our rep Casey was the best! He was smart and honest and really knows his stuff when it comes to solar. He explained all of the financials in a way that was easy to understand. And he helped us maximize our power with the best system for our home.
The office manager Angie was equally as great. She was really knowledgeable and any time I called her with questions, she knew exactly where our project was at. She kept us in the loop during the entire project. We feel very confident that Green Light Solar was the best choice in solar power for our home. We talked with three other solar companies around Portland and feel Green Light was absolutely the best choice. We highly recommend them.

We installed our solar panels in June of this year and had an absolutely great experience with GreenLight Solar! Our salesman Dave answered all of our questions and made signing up a breeze. The installers were fast and efficient - the entire install was completed in a day. The office helped with signing up for incentives, and our electric bill is down to basically the connection charge. We couldn't be happier!

We love our new solar panels. Everyone at GreenLight Solar worked with us at a very professional level. We had some trouble getting our monitoring software properly set up and that took a few tries, but it was done and we are very happy. We drive a Chevrolet Volt. Our car is now solar powered yesterday we produced all the power in one day that our car has used all this month.
