I'm sure the techs may be great based on the reviews but never got further than the initial point person, Doug. Called him at the beginning of the week and was given the run around all the way through Saturday. Gave up half the week to stay at home and wait for a tech with last minute or no updates on rescheduling issues. The tech that was scheduled yesterday hurt his back which is understandable but we were told he was back on the job today and waited for him to come "just after lunch" today.
Ultimately ended up being screamed at by Doug for telling him I'm coming here to review because there were no solutions from him and we're now mid afternoon, no ETA updates and nothing concrete as far as true timing, while I'm doing the follow up. He suggested we text him when we're on our way back home. My instinct is not to rush home to experience the same issue and we're not your friends, we're booking a service, why can't we schedule a time and stick to it.
When I say screamed at, no one should be yelled at like that, so this absolutely needs to be documented here. Also my first Google review of any kind for any business, so that should tell you plenty. Spend your efforts looking for a reliable company so you don't end up on here as well.

Tried to reach them through phone number and their website and did not get a call back until 3-4 days later. They took my information and told me their dispatch would call me within a few hours. I never got a call and called them back the following day. Once again, I was told that "dispatch would call this afternoon". I have yet to receive a call and it has been a week. I understand that it is busy season, but I can't even get a appointment set up.

I've been meaning to leave this review for a long time. Between selling a home and moving, and then covid, it just always got away from me. Anyway, we had Altitude out a few years ago when our heat went out, on Christmas Eve-Eve of all days. Turned out some sensor died. It was over $700. Sucked to pay but we felt fortunate we were able to pay it. A few weeks later, we were cleaning up our Christmas decorations outside and found the check we wrote. neatly folded and tucked in a wreath on our patio.
I never noticed that it didn't clear. I don't know if they just waived it or maybe the technician paid it himself. not sure. But either way such an amazing surprise. The service was worthy of a 5-star review anyway, they came out same day and were courteous and professional. Then to surprise us with a Christmas gift like that. just amazing. Thank you!

I had called Doug for some repairs and maintenance on my units. Amanda was available the next day for service. I really wish I could give this company and their staff more than 5 stars. Another company in town had refused to honor their service and parts warranty and literally hung up on me when I called to tell them the furnace was not working. Altitude Comfort Heating and Air's professionalism, care and speed was a refreshing experience. They replaced the system, worked through some challenging issues in challenging times and kept me informed throughout the process. They truly went above and beyond and over a weekend no less. I HIGHLY recommend them to all!

Be careful! One of the employees was not being covid safe, tried to touch my sister for no reason tell me why any employee is trying to hug people over there furnace? and walked around the house without asking and used the bathroom For 15 minutes. Then when the issue wasn't fixed the manager/owners ghosted the customer and basically stole their money. Wasn't cheap and when a new company was called they said they were over charged for the part and service for what needed to be done. DO NOT let your family alone in the situation and be careful for these SCAM ARTIST!

No seriously. RUN.fun far away from this business. They flooded my basement and stopped answering calls. Answered one call from my insurance company then blocked their calls also. The Better Business Bureau emailed me saying they wouldn't even call them back and to write to the state attorney general which I did. Next step the news! Their address is also fake - they haven't been there in 4 years. Oh the icing on the cake. even their tech quit saying it was a terrible company to work for!

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Whatever you do, do not use Altitude for any service. We are now dealing with a very poorly and incorrectly installed evaporative cooler. The company we hired to take a second look at the horrible installation of this unit will not even work on it because they don't want to take on the liability of just how poorly installed it is.
This company does not respond to our calls, they do not act professionally on the phone. A few of their service techs are nice, but this company should not receive any more business.

Took the technician a day and a half to complete the job and had to make multiple trips to get the correct parts. Pretty sure I paid labor for all the trips to the store, final cost was high. Extra time was also taken to get the connections to stop leaking and the supply line for swamp cooler was not run very professionally.

We couldn't be more satisfied with our experience with Altitude Comfort Heating and Air. They were quick to respond when our A/C stopped working and sent Amanda to help us out the next day. Needless to say, she was amazing. She quickly diagnosed the problem, went to get parts and then had everything working in less than 2 hours. She also cleaned out the outdoor unit for us which was causing problems as well.
I can't say enough how professional, knowledgeable and polite she was. It was a pleasure meeting her and I would certainly recommend this company to anyone. We will definitely use them again in the future with all of our HVAC needs.

AC was not working efficiently and the heat in house was so uncomfortable. I contacted them and they were extremely kind, understanding and professional. They were very helpful in first walking me through some checks at home before deciding to send a technician out and worked around my schedule to squeeze me in. I received a notification when the tech was on his way and the technician was just as professional and knowledgeable.
Immediately found issue, did a thorough check, cleanup and service on my AC units. Gave some additional helpful advice. I'm back in comfort again. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them to service my heat & AC again.

Warning: do not hire Altitude if you value quality or level of service. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I don't want anyone else to fall victim to their horrible standards. I would advise you to check Yelp or Facebook as well where Altitude's reviews are more indicative of what you get. We hired Altitude to install central AC in our house a couple of years ago.
In doing so, they drilled extra holes in our exterior (ones they didn't end up using), and caused water damage on our bedroom ceiling. We found out later from another contractor (who's great), that they used wiring that was not up to code, and failed to install a drip pan in our attic (also not up to code), and that missing drip pan caused the water damage in our ceiling.
After countless hours on the phone and coordinating via email, altitude did come back to bring their work up to code (I think because, however they did not fix the ceiling damage and went non-responsive on us. Do not hire these thieves. You will regret it.

When my furnace went out during the coldest month of the year, I contacted numerous businesses to fix my furnace. Altitude Comfort was the first place to answer my call as well as schedule a professional to come to my house to look at my furnace. The entire experience working with them was pleasant from the nice, professional, and courteous man on the phone to the technician who came to my house, Amanda. Amanda was able to diagnose the problem and get my furnace working again. She was pleasant to work with and very professional as well. I will definitely use Altitude Comfort again when the need arises.

I will never use this business again. Two years ago my Brother and I used the company for my brand new A/C unit and furnace both. The put in to big of units and now all 5 heat exchangers are cracked and my brother is left with a $7600 bill. Both of us are financially frugal and this company is not worth any savings and they do not know what they are doing please avoid using them at all costs!

Warning! Warning! Stay away using them for any HVAC service. I regretted not reading Yelp review before I hired them to install a heat pump in my condo about 5 months ago. It turned out that my AC was not installed properly from the get go. It took awhile to get a hold of them, they scheduled a visit which no one showed. After calling for many days, they promised again they will come, but again no show.
So got this lip service for the past 4 weeks. Their warranty of service is completely worthless. It was a very expensive lesson for me and I hope no one else will go thru my terrible experience with this company.

This is the first negative review of a company I have ever written, but feel like my experience needs to be shared. I had an appointment set with Altitude from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for a furnace that broke in the middle of a stretch of sub-freezing days. With an infant at home, I was happy to have their services at hand. By 1:00 pm, no one had showed, so I called and left a message.
Finally at 2:00 pm they responded, saying their phone system had been down and they couldn't reach one of their technicians, but they would send another one my way, promising to call back in just a few minutes. 15 minutes passed and no call. I called them back and no one picked up. Another 15 minutes and the same thing, then another 15 minutes and the same again.
It was nearing 3:00 pm when I realized they had abandoned me and that I had wasted a day of leave from work with nothing to show but a broken furnace and a house that was going to be too cold for our family. Still I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but when 5:00 pm rolled around with no word, I called to let them know I was respectfully frustrated and gave them the opportunity to reach out to at least calm the waters.
They didn't. To think that they had such little respect for the basic needs of a client tells me everything I need to know and I would advise anyone to find a different company.

Extremely disappointed in recent service. Several years ago our AC went out on one of the hottest days, but Altitude was the one to send someone out immediately to fix the unit. A couple years later as we continued to use Altitude for maintenance, we did our install with them (water heater, furnace, AC). They were always professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. Scheduled our yearly maintenance for both AC and furnace (which we were told to do to keep warranties valid). Appointment was at 9.30am and no one showed. At 10.40 I called and a woman answered saying she was just trying to find my number to call and say they were running late, and assured me someone would be at my house within an hour.
I expressed to her that I had to go back to work at 12pm. I waited an hour (it's now 11.30) and still no one is at my house, so I called a second time. The same woman answered the phone saying she was right down the street and would be there soon. I told her I would have to re-schedule as I had to leave by noon and she got irritated, telling me she was right down the street. Having done this maintenance every year with this company, it has always taken AT LEAST an hour to service each unit, so I asked "you are charging me $130 PER unit and you're telling me you can service both in half hour?" She responded "oh yes ma'am, yes we can do both in half-hour". Having felt jerked around I told her no thank you, I had to leave for work and I would re-schedule as I had planned for this appointment now 2+ hours ago.
She told the passenger in the car "ugh we aren't going there now" and then hung up on me. I was baffled that she hung up on me when they were the ones running so late. If this is the way they wish to treat customers who have been with them for years, and have recommended them to various family/friends/etc, we won't be doing business with them again. We'll be looking elsewhere and give our $$ to a company that appreciates customers instead.

I was fortunate to have a company available to quickly fix my swamp cooler issue within 24 hours. However, their pricing is not competitive. I was told that I would be receiving before and after pictures of the work that was completed. I never received that, even after directly texting the technician and asking him. I was charged $420 to replace a belt, tighten a bolt, and also reattach a bracket that came loose.
I also did not receive an itemized receipt, just the charge itself. I would not recommend using their services or business. I had this swamp cooler installed 3 summers ago, some parts may need replacing, however, it shouldn't cost the customer over $400 for a "minor" tune-up.

We paid over $700 for swamp cooler repair. swamp cooler continued to leak and I had to make another 5-10 calls to get them back out, nothing bu excuses about why they didn't call me back. swamp cooler is still squealing like crazy and is not cooling the house at all. I don't even want to deal with the hassle again, so I'll be hiring someone else to do the job this company couldn't do. they didn't have any issue charging me for it though.

If you are one of those people that enjoys good customer service and contractors respecting your home, DO NOT HIRE. In May of 2018, the installation of my evaporative cooler was a nightmare - the contractor didn't cover or protect anything in my home and a cleaning crew had to be sent out to fix the mess. An additional contractor was sent out to fix the ceiling, wall, and floor damage made during installation.
When it was time to shut the system down for the winter, a leak started from the cooler that was so bad I had water pouring from the ceiling and into a bucket on the bed. During this whole process it was very difficult to get return phone calls or emails. Fast forward to today, I hired a new company to turn the cooler on (and replace broken parts) and they informed me the setup was done incorrectly and the duct work and motor needs to be replaced in order to even use the system. I can't caution you enough - do your research and hire someone that cares about getting the job done right!

Was told the cost would be $130 over the phone and then they claimed that was just to drive to my house. Subsequently charged me $500 and then ignored my calls for two weeks. Mind you, all they did was turn a dial on my boiler. They're not upfront with pricing and said they'd send an invoice but haven't. Look elsewhere for a heating company.

Absolutely overpriced! Call around and get quotes. The tech was friendly and informative, but seemed to enjoy bending us over with the cost. Everything is priced on a tier system. $20 capacitor cost $370 from Altitude. I do not recommend using them. They call it tiered pricing, I call it getting bent over.

I paid $129 for a consultation. The rep never even came into my house to look at the thermostat or furnace. The entire "sales call" took less than 5 minutes. What a WASTE of money! The quote was double to triple what other HVAC companies quoted me. Altitude quoted me $814 for a new A/C motor. Two other companies quoted me around $300 for a new motor. Altitude also quoted me $8,175 for a new 14 seer A/C unit and an 80% efficient variable speed furnace. I am getting a 16 seer multi-stage A/C unit and a 96% efficient variable speed furnace for $6,269. I feel like I got robbed of $129! Such a waste of money.

Cisco has been out to repair my 30-year-old furnace a couple times and both times he was great! He's knowledgeable, friendly, and a trustworthy guy. I work in the industry, so I generally know up from down. The most recent time, someone else wanted to replace my unit, but he fixed it for the price of a fancy dinner.

I need to replace the blower motor on my furnace. I called Altitude Comfort Heating. They came over and for $130 confirmed all I needed was to replace the blower motor, and gave me a quote of $1,100 for the swap-out. $1,100.00. The part is $70. Labor time is 10 minutes. I've discussed this with other HVAC companies and got my repair elsewhere.
