In 1969, Mac McCurdy and Harmon McCurdy founded McCurdy Plumbing as a "two-man shop" serving Amarillo. As Mac's three sons grew in the trade, they became the driving force behind the business. And in 1987, MMM Plumbing was born when they bought the company from their father. Today, MMM is one of the largest commercial mechanical contractors in the Texas Panhandle.In 2001, MMM decided to expand into the residential and commercial service market of Amarillo with the purchase of A&R Mechanical Services, a commercial mechanical contractor and service company. Although A&R has evolved through years, first and foremost, we are a family-owned company that values it customers.

I don't leave reviews hardly ever, but they will take care of you. Highly professional in an emergency situation and really wanted to take care. When he didn't have time to do the job due to scheduling conflicts he helped recommend someone he trusted. Absolutely 100% will be using them for plumbing and HVAC moving forward.

I called for a business Laurie who assisted me was super professional on taking all the information of the situation I was having stayed on top of the whole issue sent Shiloh out to diagnose the problem! Informed me every step of the way of what exactly the work that needed to get done. Very detailed and prompt with his work! Excellent service and now I know who I can depend on! After the recent storm when all the plumbers in town are so busy, I called A & R to help me with a gas leak outside of my business, They sent Shiloh Robinson that very day. He responded to my need and had the leak repaired for less than his estimate. He and his staff also waited on the city to come at 7:30 at night so we could have heat before this snow storm. I could not have been taken care of any better. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

I found a water leak in my tiled bathroom wall at 12:30 p.m., Friday afternoon. A&R sent out their great plumbers by 1:30. They had to cut out some of the tile to get to the leak. They did a fantastic job, and had my leak fixed by 3:00 p.m. I was so pleased they showed up so fast for my emergency wall leak and were so professional. I will always call A&R first from now on.

Had a massive job of two AC/Heater units replaced at once with insurance companies etc. They went above and beyond to take care of the details and and coordinate multiple inspections etc. we now have much more efficient units that are working great! Caleb and the crew were great to work with and got everything done on schedule. A great experience all the way around.

A & R was prompt im coming to our house when our AC went out. They provided portable AC units and a window unit until the repairs could be made. Caleb and his crew were amazing and extremely professional. They were able to answer all our questions about all aspects of the repairs. We will be lifelong customers!

These guys were great. Our A/C went completely out smack dab in the middle of summer. We were worried that, since it was summer, we'd have to wait for awhile, but they came as soon as we called and took a look at everything and gave us a lot of different options to move forward. After deciding to replace it all they got everything ordered and installed in almost no time at all.
I have a two year old, so they absolutely saved our bacon. Great company and the person we worked with, Caleb, was super professional, timely, and knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about them. Got A/C and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

I was visiting some friends/family on Cornell Street and noticed A&R trucks across the street while outside. I greatly appreciated the words on the sides of the truck saying who you support. That made a huge statement to me and made your company name stand out. When the employees came out to the trucks, they were very polite and asked me how my day was.

Lee went on a service call on 12/25 to Mr. Perley's house. This was during the snow storm, Mr. Perley is very thankful that he came out, Lee was very efficient in looking after cost, and did not try to gouge them on repairs. He was very honest and put the customer needs first. He was a very excellent technician and represented A&R very well.

I was so IMPRESSED with Shiloh's knowledge, professionalism, and respect. I have never ever met anyone in this trade with so much knowledge. It's a great feeling having someone in your home who isn't out to scam you. I can't get over how much detail Shiloh was going into about the job they would be doing.
