We called this company because a friend referred us. They couldn't help out situation but referred me to someone who could. Tonkin employee was helpful, professional and arrived early. Was grateful for his knowledge and I will use them in the future for my plumbing needs.

Reliable and amazing work! We had a water softener installed that had to run fromm outside into our garage across our front walkway.you would NEVER know they had even been there!

I have a business in downtown Riverside. We had our toilets backing up and overflowing. I called Tonkin at 7:30am and they had a service provider to my office before 8am. They rooted out my drain pipe and were finished by 8:30am. Toilet problem handled. They were amazingly fast and efficient. Tonkin Plumbing absolutely gets 5 stars from me. Bill Bratton

If there were 6 stars.they'd get it. We had a gas leak and subsequently the gas company turned off our gas. We called another company and said we needed them to come test the lines to find the leak. Not only did this other company not bring the pressure thingy (that's the proper term, you know) but they took less than 5 minutes to "look" and tell us where they thought the leak was and it would be over $8,000 to fix it! Hmm? Decided to get a second opinion and called Tonkin (the FIRST PLACE WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED).

I don't have enough words to tell you how great, professional and honest this company is. Not only did they work their rear-ends off to find the leak (oh.there were several. NONE of which were anywhere near where the first guy said it was. Can you imagine? We would have spent $8000 and we still would have had a leak!) but these guys actually cared that we were without gas and really wanted to help find that leak. We saved over $6,000 and actually got the leaks fixed! I can't thank or recommend Tonkin Plumbing enough!

The garbage disposal went out on a rental house in Riverside. I bought a new garbage disposal then read yelp reviews and called Tonkin Plumbing yesterday. I was quoted a reasonable price for installation, so I scheduled the replacement for 8am this morning. Mathew went out as scheduled and replaced my garbage disposal in a professional manner. They charged me what was quoted and my tenants are happy and so am I. I will call them again if I need plumbing service in Riverside. Thanks Tonkin!

The toilet in our master bath started leaking, and my husband found a bolt completely rusted (pulled straight out without even unscrewing, yikes)! We called Tonkin Plumbing and they were able to get us taken care of the very next morning. Brett arrived on time, was friendly and kept me informed about what he was doing, and was quick & efficient. He replaced the nasty bolt & used a thicker wax to help prevent leaking (learned something new today).

They installed 3 toilets and my house and have done various plumbing repairs. They also did the plumbing work on a remodel I did a few years ago. They are very professional, courteous and highly skilled.

Scott has an amazing amount of experience and was very helpful on giving some tips on changes to improve the sewer system at a multi family unit. Their camera operation and location of where the pipe runs was A+. Never, ever, guess where you think a sewer pipe runs, have it located. For the 2nd time, I was surprised on the location of a sewer line, luckily both times I had it located.

He was also very nice and suggested where I could buy a part for a 5" clay pipe to install a clean out, 5" is an oddball size that the usual plumbing suppliers do not carry in stock. Their hydrojet I would classify as a medium size, and it's good for what it is. The advantage is cost, compared to the towed units. I learned a lot working with them, they were on time, and very professional. Plumbing is one of these areas, where you are constantly learning.

My appointment was between 10 and 12 they arrive close to 12 however they were not prepared to do the job and had to go to lunch to wait for parts to arrive, once they returned the job was completed and done well, however I would not use them again because I was overcharged for what they did.

Tonkin Plumbing is the gold standard in local plumbing. Matthew came out to my old house and got right to work clearing the super mega clogged drain. He also gave a few tips on how to keep the lines clean. Fast. Efficient. Fair price.

Sunday my gas hotwater heater went out. I left a message with Tonkin Plumbing on Sunday nite. Monday morning I get a call from them and was told a serviceman would be out today between the hours of 12 noon and 2p.m. Wow! I was impressed. Then at 12 noon the serviceman arrived and in two hours it was replaced and the new water heater was running. The installation looked great.

When the serviceman left it the clean up was immaculate. In the past two years I have had Tonkin do the plumbing in the both my bathrooms and laundry room. Always professional and their prices are very honest and fair.

I would highly recommend Tonkin Plumbing. I mainly communicated with Kevin about my plumbing issue but the other Tokin Plumbing staff was just as helpful and professional. They were efficient and I will definitely call them again if I have any other plumbing needs.

I'm always hesitant to call a plumber because it seems like I always pick someone who's skills don't match their prices. Horrible experiences. We had a copper water pipe fitting break and needed the pipe capped and repaired. I was already going to deal with the high cost of water damage to my wood floors, and I was not looking forward to calling a plumber.

I called Roy, who was our contractor eleven years ago. He built our addition and works for Tonkin these days. Roy is always pleasant and does quality work. Roy got right to it and the price was fair, not inflated. I have a few minor plumbing jobs that I've put off that I could live with, all due to avoiding plumber involvement. I think I'm ready to start a check list for all of those put off jobs to be completed on my house. I am very pleased.

We had called a few plumbers to bid a new outdoor gas line at our house. The project was simple, but Tonkin Plumbing had the most reasonable price for a knowledgeable crew. We wanted our job done professionally and to code and that's exactly what was delivered. Furthermore, when it was discovered that a valve they installed was oriented in a direction that would interfere with the rest of the project, the company had a plumber stop by and spend a few minutes rotating the valve out of the way. We are very pleased with their work, professionalism, and value, and would definitely recommend Tonkin Plumbing to anyone looking for plumbing services!

I can not in any way recommend Tonkin Plumbing. I scheduled an appointment in advance in order to get time off from work to be home for a complex multi-hour drainage repair. The plumber Scott failed to show up at the appointed time. No one from Tonkin Plumbing contacted me concerning the missed appointment. Hours after the scheduled appointed time, Scott finally showed up at my door saying that he was diverted to another job.

At no time did anyone from Tonkin plumbing, nor Scott, contact me to tell me that he would be hours late. Upon arriving Scott stated that he would do a partial job today and come back and complete the rest of the job on another day (how nice of them to rob me of another day's pay as part of their solution for missing the original appointment).

The whole point was to get the job done on a single day due to the job's complexity and the time required to complete a proper job. Now, miraculously, the job had turned into a simpler job. For a complete lack of respect for a customers time and for failing to have basic of customer service skills, I rate Tonkin Plumbing 2 out of 5 stars.

I have used Tonkin Plumbing several times over the past 10 years for major remodel projects at my home as well as simple drain clean outs. Every time they have delivered on their commitments with top quality results. In addition, they take great care to keep the work area clean and minimize any mess, cleaning up so you would not know they were ever there.
