Dalcon Electric is a company that you can really count on and trust. They upgraded my panel. Now I can install an electrical charger which I will request them to install. Their rates are reasonable. The electrician Raphael Romero is a perfectionist. After the installation, they placed everything back as it was. Worst experience I ever had. They claim there's no charge for them to come out, but when they get there, they will charge you $479 for a consultation and diagnostic fee. It's true, you have a choice to either agree or not to their consultation fee, and in desperation, I agreed since they were already at my home at that point (but never again). That's just the first red flag.

At least other companies are upfront about their charges. For example, when you call in, most companies will say "it will cost you X dollars for us to come out during emergency hours or you can wait and it will cost you nothing.". Secondly, they say they will email you a full report, which they never did; instead, they sent pictures through text with no detailed report, and proceeded to quote you thousands of dollars.

They quoted me a $7K-$9K range. I had multiple certified & licensed electrian come by and none of which charged a consultation fee, and it cost a fraction of what Dalcon quoted. To share how drastic of the quote difference. the final costs with another company ended up being $850 (inclusive of rewiring) compared to what Dalcon quoted me. Whoever reads this review can decide for themselves, but I will never work with this company again. I hope others don't fall into their trap.

We have used Dalcon Electric in the past for a minor electrical project and were satisfied with their work. I used them again yesterday to install an electrical outlet and run some HDMI cables through the wall in back of a TV. The work was done by Angel who was on time, extremely efficient, and polite. We will be using this company again for electrical work. Thank you to Angel!

Rafael was great! The entire experience with Dalcon was excellent from scheduling, to arriving on time & restoring electricity to the house. Rafael was able to provide a temporary fix to the problem & will be back out in a week to replace parts & make a permanent fix. He provided us with a detail of the work he would be performing and the cost of the job. Rafael provided excellent customer service - answering all of our questions related to the issue on hand and other electrical concerns. I highly recommend this company & Rafael for your future electric needs.

I appreciated the quick response from the head office with respect to scheduling an appointment. I also appreciated how the assigned electrician was able to handle my needs on the same day of my appointment. Through the process the business was pleasant and professional, and I especially appreciate the care they took to ensure health and safety of others.

The technician was very courteous and professional. I didn't use the service because the solar panel installer was willing to do the job at one third of the cost, but will definitely consider the company for other work.

I hired Dalcon Electric to do a full re-wire of my 1930's era home which formerly had ancient knob and tube wiring. This involved demo of several exterior lights and outlets and old panels installation of new panels, under-cabinet kitchen lighting, new lighting in the garage and a car charger. I evaluated 3 bidders, identified via Angi's list and selected Dalcon, which was in the middle on pricing. Carlos Figueroa performed the initial inspection and I was immediately impressed by how thorough and detail-oriented he was in capturing our needs and quickly preparing a comprehensive proposal.

The work was conducted over a couple of months and I found Carlos, Jack, Sarah (scheduler) and David (Dalcon's owner) to be consistently professional, engaged and helpful. They accommodated some change requests during the project and I found them to be fair with this as well. I would absolutely recommend Dalcon to others and would use them again. Carlos came out to provide a quote for some electrical work I needed. He asked how soon I needed the work complete, I said would be nice to have completed as soon as possible. He checked his calendar and was able to complete the job during his initial visit. I was afraid the work would require tearing out a lot of sheetrock, he was able to work around the sheetrock and with no visible signs of damage. Awesome work, quick service, and great guy!

Rafael did an amazing job again. He is always courteous, professional and thorough. We are always happy to have Rafael out to work on our home. We trust Rafael and Dalcon completely.

Eric came in between 8:30am -9:00am Tuesday morning as scheduled. He was courteous and answered most of our questions. One of the cartridges had an issue due to a cable that blew up from a windstorm that happened 2 Sundays ago and the CPAU replaced the damaged cable. The cartridge is now active and most of the sockets have power. He also made some recommendations on how to prevent fire and safety. Thank you Eric for helping us today. Dalcon Electric Inc electricians are prompt and professionals. That's why I called them again.

This is a company you want to keep in your contacts list! We recently had work in our dinning room done by Carlos from Dalcon Electric. We have attempted over 3+ years to have electricians look at the situation and no one was able to successfully diagnose the problem. Carlos was in our home 15-20 minutes and diagnosed the problem. Amazing! WE scheduled a date for the work to be done in less than a week and Carlos came through with flying colors!

All of our outlets and lights now work in our dinning room! Dalcon and Carlos are incredibly responsive, professional, efficient and reasonable. We wold highly recommend them! Dalcon, like many others does charge a diagnostic fee. Theirs however is more reasonable than many others. Once we decided to go forward with the work the $80 diagnostic fee was waived. Very fair pricing!

Our technician, Chad, did a terrific job repairing our $1000 light fixture. The repair took an extra day, because he had to drive to Santa Cruz (from San Jose) to get the necessary parts, but he kept us in the loop at all times. We probably could have gotten the fixture repaired for less, but Chad's professionalism, obvious expertise, and personal attention was well worth the price.

We hired Dalcon to replace our aluminum wiring with copper. They went out of their way to ensure our house was safely energized throughout the process. I've never heard of being charged to come out and do a consultation. bingo electric recommended I go to Dalcon to do a recessed light job. I called, and they said it's $89 to come out just to do the consultation. Free only if you go with them. It's part of doing business to do a consultation. How do you get a job if you don't do one? Pass.

They have awesome customer service and are super accommodating. They were quick to respond and get my small job done asap with in a couple of hours. I really appreciated that they have such a fast response time, which is what you need in a pinch and don't have the time to wait a week for another appointment. However, expect to pay 3x's as much as any other electrician. $442 to go into attic and unplug an exterior camera and plug it back in. In any case, my camera is back up and running and I'm super happy about that! Thank you!

These are CONS! I wanted to install flood lights in my patio. There's already a lamp and hence an electric connection. They refused to give a quote over the phone even for something this straightforward, and said the "way the company works" is someone will physically come out to assess and the give a quote. The FEES TO COME OUT AND ASSESS IS $89. Seriously? does anyone get fooled by these people?

These folks are awesome. We called them because we wanted to update our panel, install a new dedicated circuit in our garage for shop tools and a garage door opener, add a living room light and switch, and add exterior outlets for our patio lights and pellet smoker. We made our appointment with Sara who provided first-class, responsive communication and excellent customer service. Eric came out the very next day and took pictures of the areas we wanted to improve upon and followed up later with a written estimate via email.

We approved the work and had them start a few days later. Jack, Christian, and Jason completed all the work in a professional manner. These gentleman were very polite, courteous, respectful of our property, and kept us informed every step of the way. Dalcon will definitely be our "go-to" electricians for any electrical projects going forward.

Did a great job upgrading our homes electrical panel, arrived on time and worked until the job was completed. Very happy with the work they did and would definitely use them again for electrical work. They even provided a generator so that our computers and internet could stay up during the outage. Second time customer. This company probably saved us from some serious electrical damage or worse once I saw the conditions of our plugs and wiring. Carlos went through and did an inspection on the dame day as the consultation. Very thorough. They spent 3 days fixing all our electrical. We had a new circuit breaker box put in, sensor lights in the garage, electric sensor installed, and all new lighting. Enrique and Jason did an excellent job and our house looks like new.

These guys made this hoise safe for my kids and they treated us like family. I can't say enough about this company, but especially Carlos and his crew. We'll be coming back for anything else. They don't try to overcharge. They don't add anything you don't need to the job. That's hard to find these days.

Dalcon installed a new 240 volt, 50 amp circuit for my electric vehicle. The work included a new NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage, new 50 A circuit breaker, and new wiring. Of the three bids, Dalcon was the lowest by almost $1000. Low cost did not mean low quality, however. The installer did an outstanding job! The 50 A wire is a lot thicker than one would expect.

Running that thick wire through the attic and walls was not a trivial task. Yet, the installer was able to run the new wiring entirely through my house's existing space, NOT needing to break through the stucco, dry wall, add an external conduit, nor a new breaker box. Everything was done cleanly behind the walls and in the attic. Continue on the "clean" theme, after the install was complete, he did an awesome job cleaning up the loose ceiling insulation both inside the house and in the garage. I was very impressed! Thank you for doing the job right by performing such a clean and attentive installation.

Eric was amazing! Super nice, easy going, fast working and knowledgeable about how to fix our water pipe grounding. Work was done expertly. Highly recommend him!

Joshua showed up on time and explained what he would be doing. He explained common fix to the more complex. After diagnostics, he provided options for solutions. He will propose estimates on these options and I will decide from there.

Be aware of the bait and switch tactics. Had an outlet go out so got quotes on Yelp for different companies troubleshoot and fix the problem. I should have known $0 to come out to look at the problem was too good to be true. I called Sarah the manager the morning of to get a better understanding of what the visit will cost. I was not given any specific quotes and just that "it could be $60 to fix or tens of thousands." To my surprise, Josh showed up, looked at the outlets and told me it was going to be $450 just to do a diagnosis of the problem.

And that the diagnosis could take 5 minutes or up to 4 hours and did not include the cost to fix the problem. Be wary of these guys. Go with someone else who is more upfront about either an hourly rate or a flat rate to come diagnose the problem. Just wasted my afternoon. Update: Increased to 2 stars because they're right. This was only an initial experience and can't speak to the quality of their work. However, it was a major red flag so I went with Zair Electric.

They gave up front pricing and for half of what these guys charged to do a diagnostic, the circuit breaker was replaced and problem was fixed. There are good electricians out there that do not play games.

I believe that the work done was necessary and that it is unlikely I would have solved the problem without John's help. I should also mention that I called Dalcon at about 10 AM and the response was in my experience very fast. (John was here at 3 PM which was what I was told over the telephone.)

The electricians were all friendly and neat. They protected our floors and furniture, and were able to work around our cats. The two exterior lights that we had purchased turned out to be too large for the space. Before installing them John called me and suggested that I purchase smaller fixtures. When I got home, I saw what he was talking about, and agreed.

John and crew performance was beyond my expectations. They worked in a light rain and completed the initial install so we could have power the first day. John was not happy with the way the panel fit into the wall, so he re-did the install with a complete new panel and lead-in wiring. I David and found both he and John to be very personable and professional.

It went great. They called within an hour of my first call and scheduled an appt that day. Dave and John came out and trouble shot the problem. They were able to identify the problem and quickly repaired it. The guys were professional, explained what they were doing and what needed to be done. Another great thing was that they were flexible about MY work schedule!

Several rooms in the unit had no electrical service. John found the source of the problem fixed it, cleaned up, and left. The tenants were very impressed with him. I'm giving him another job, right away -- much bigger.

Good company to use. When my office had issues with electricity, and we need our computers since we are a San Jose Seo company, we called Dalcon Electric. They found a loose neutral in the wall and got it fixed asap.
