Cape Fear A/C & Heating

I have a previous review where I commended Cape Fear Air for honoring a manufacturers warranty when the installer did not; saving me over $6K. Today I had Cape Fear come in to service two 4 Ton Split Systems and identify the problem on a mini-split that wasn't working. The TECH was "Frank", he was the best AC Tech I've ever had (30 years of bad experience, now I've got the firm AND the "guy"). Frank spent around 4 hours servicing the two systems (prior companies completed both in around and hour. and Frank wasn't taking breaks!).

Move on to the non-functional mini-split. Cape Fear (Frank) contacted the A/C manufacturer when the standard "checks" didn't work. and started disassembling stuff and breaking out the multi-meter and checking voltages across a circuit board that looked like a LARGE plate of spaghetti. End state is that hours after starting (and $80.00 out of my pocket book) Frank was able to diagnose the problem. which is what I asked for.

I absolutely recommend Cape Fear A/C for all of your Heating and Air issues. they may not be the least expensive but they do what they are contracted for and HONOR warranties for equipment they didn't even install. ever experience that? Me neither. Need an A/C Firm, here's my recommendation. Cape Fear. Frank deserves a raise. Thanks again for the excellent service!

Had a new Trane heat pump installed by Tom and Tony today. They arrived on time, were great with communication, installed the unit and new thermostat properly and did awesome job cleaning up. Would also say Eric, who sold us the unit was great no pressure sales person. Would recommend Cape Fear to anyone looking for HVAC help. Service: Install AC

We needed to find someone who could fix our damper for our zoned duct system. Our neighbors son, Brayden works at this place and told us this is the place to go for all things HVAC. He was definitely right. Starting from the call, everything went smooth. I got scheduled the very next day, and Chris showed up to run diagnostics and fix the problem right away. Chris was very attentive and professional the whole time he was here.

What impressed me the most was their seamless operation where Chris put in the order and the part was immediately delivered to get the job done. It took less then 90min from when Chris show up to the drive way to him finish and clean up. And not a single piece of trash was left behind. I would call then again should I need them again and totally recommend Cape Fear Air & Heating to my friends and family.

Tom and Tony were great in replacing our HVAC! They arrived on time, kept us posted on their progress and were very courteous and respectful throughout the day. They took extra care in putting down either blankets or cardboard to protect our floors. They also called in extra help from the company so they could lift the exterior unit over our flowers so not to damage them. We have been using Cape Fear Air since we built our home 18 years ago and its people like Tom and Tony that we keep using them.

Robert came to my house to service our old unit. He was great, and got us in touch with Eric that day for a quote on a whole new system. Both Robert and Eric were a pleasure to work with. They scheduled our new unit and all new duct system to be put in one week after. Then Tom, Brayden and Tony came out for three days to remove our old and battered system and put in the new.

Very nice guys, worked hard to make sure the system was up and running. Stayed until 6:30 on the last night to troubleshoot a wiring issue, everyone at this company I worked with had a great attitude and was informative.

Tony, Tom, and Faustino were excellent! They installed my upstairs and downstairs hvac system. Everything was perfect! They cleaned up after as well! Very please with this company and the technicians!

Our technician Ben Rhodes was amazing! This guy was thorough, educated me in my attic and went beyond the call to ensure the space was cleaned up and all done in a thorough and orderly fashion. We have used CFACand Heat for 20 years in two locations and we have always been pleased and treated well as customers. We highly recommend them.

My family and I woke up to our house being about 40 degrees this morning. We called Cape Fear Heating and Air and I was worried they wouldn't be able to get to us because of the snow and iced roads. Nick came to our house and was extremely helpful. He was very thorough and when he was finished he took the time to explain to me the issues with my unit.

We realized there was a shortage in the breaker and he showed me where it was and how he could tell. He took the time to break everything down for me he also stayed and spoke with my husband who I called at work. He gave us several alternatives and options but was upfront and honest with us about the best route to take. I was extremely impressed with Nick and I'll be the first to say you can always tell when you're dealing with a fellow Soldier because of how they carry themselves. Nick was extremely respectful and he cared about his craft.

We will definitely be using him again for any issues we may have with our unit. I've always been impressed with this company and their service. Today was no different. Thank you for putting yourselves at risk for your customers as I know the snow and ice may have made it a bit difficult to move around today.

Just want to say the Rich did a answer job with the repairing of our heating system. He was very professional and hard working throughout the process. We just bought a house, and the AC wasn't working at all. We called Cape Fear and they sent Rich out to us. He was super professional, fast, efficient, and nice. Super easy to work with, and let us know all of our options for repair. Being a parent with two little boys, he was super understanding of us and helped up to get the best possible care for our family.

He was also great with my kids and dogs as they were running around the house. Overall a great person, great technician, super professional and helpful. Definitely will be using Rich for all of our heating and cooling services!

Nick was an absolute genius when it came to knowing everything about air conditioning. I have been using Cape fear heating and air for almost 5 years now and have never had a problem. They are honest, quick, and super professional.

We have been using Cape Fear A/C & Heating since last summer. We were experiencing a problem with a mini-split unit that was dripping during the summer months. Frank Mashione came out to diagnose the problem and scheduled for the problem to be corrected.

We had a maintenance contract with a national company who installed our current heating/AC unit approximately 8-9 years ago. This maintenance contract provided us with 24-hour emergency service. One evening, as a snow storm approached, our heat went out.

I purchased the end-of-summer special on Angie's List to have my AC checked because it is 8 years old and I have never real had any maintenance on it. I thought it would be a good investment after the peak of the summer heat so I purchased the deal and was immediately contacted by someone to pick a date for the service.

Great people at this company. Very responsive and spent the time servicing our equipment to be sure it was operating at peak efficiency. Steve Rardon is the best technician I have seen. He uses the latest technology and truly tests the system.
