For many years now, Jay has been our go-to plumber to help with this older home of ours. We asked him to move our water heater off the basement floor (the basement floods on occasion). This job, like every other that Jay does, was done efficiently and beyond expectations. While doing this job, Jay noticed a small problem with our kitchen pipes that, in moments, had our water pressure back up to full tilt.

Jay is my go-to plumber. He is reliable, professional, and friendly, and his prices are competitive. He works hard to make sure a job is done correctly and is honest about challenges. Jay is very knowledgeable and reliable. I appreciate his ability to diagnose a problem and I trust him. I had an area under my home casing a slow drain in my shower due to aged corroded pipes that needed to be replaced. There is a small area leading to my sewage line that will be the last of the old pipe to be replaced (predates Jay). I fully intend to have the work done in the next several months proactively now that I signed up for his annual service.

I am also looking into a potential water filtration/conditioning system. His estimate came in significantly lower than that of the company Home Depot uses for a comparable system. So thankful to have a plumber that has consistently been honest and reliable.

This is a great plumbing service. Arrived right on time. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Told me everything he was going to do. Problem resolved in an hour. The cost was very, very reasonable too. I am so pleased. I highly recommend this company.

I called due to issues with my hot water heater. I was first given an appointment for three days later. However, because I didn't have hot water they pushed it up to the next day. I have been using North Brothers Plumbing & Rooter for many years and I have always been more than satisfied with every call. I recently signed up for a monthly program and it doesn't disappoint. Their plumbers work fast, clean and they are very organized. This is the best plumber I've ever used.

Horrible horrible horrible. Fleeced my parents for $415 to repair washer in faucet aardvark replace kitchen faucet hose. My parents are both in tHeir 90s and we're definitely taken advantage age oof by Jay who was technician. THis is a form of elder abuse and they should be ashamed. LOOK OUT SENIOR CITIZENS.

Jay serviced our kitchen sink yesterday. We had a deep clog that the handyman couldn't fix. Jay was prompt and he's easily the neatest plumber I've ever seen. He put on shoe coverings without being asked, placed a special tarp on the floor before he began working and even tented his snake so that it wouldn't splatter during recoil. Jay is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

For those of you who are hesitating to get into a service agreement, as I was should think twice. For some reason, I always have little plumbing issues and every time I called out a plumbing service I ended up paying hundreds. North Brothers Plumbing offered me a service plan to maintain my plumbing keeping it healthy for a very reasonable monthly/yearly cost. Saving me hundreds of dollars. Not only is the plan great but the quality of Jay's work is amazing. DONT HESITATE!

About a year ago, I happened to take a business card from North Brothers' truck when they were working in my neighborhood. When my kitchen sink wouldn't drain a few days ago, I found the card and gave Jay a call. He said he'd arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 (my preferred time) and arrived on time. He looked at the work to be done and proceeded to show the pricing list. That's always appreciated instead of someone coming in and "telling" you what it will cost.

The work was completed in a timely manner, he cleaned the area, and checked to make sure everything was clear. I will keep North Brothers in my contact list and gladly refer the company.

This not a reliable company, by my experience. I've waited over 5 months to give Jay North time to keep his word before posting this. Sadly enough he hasn't. I was referred to North Brothers Plumbing by my tankless water heater company, Noritz. I wanted to have a routing maintenance. Apparently I needed a small filter to complete the maintenance that Jay North did not have with him.

He said that he would order one and return to replace at no charge. Keep in mind that I did not ask for free service. I have left 6 VM messages and also sent text message. I paid in full but did not receive full service. Stay away. Update Well. It appears that he would rather rant lies than admit fault and God forbid he offer to rectify the issue. This certainly defines character.

Thank goodness North Brothers Plumbing was available as the main shut off valve to my home was in need of repair. I telephoned and Jay was able to come the following day. He first quoted me the cost for several small repairs. On a written estimate he numbered and itemized each repair. That way I knew exactly what each repair would cost with warranty.

There wasn't any fast talking or confusing bundling prices with Jay. He was very professional and had a people friendly personality. It's been around 2 months now since my repairs were done and all continue to be just fine. I certainly recommend North Brothers Plumbing. C.A. in Sierra Madre

There's no hot water.water in the basement put the heater out.where's the leak? Called my usual plumber, he's on vacation, what with no backup? Called several more and got answering machines. What to do! Called North Brothers. Someone answered the phone! And they said I could get help "within the hour." Hooray! Jay North to the rescue.

He located the leak in a out-of-the way wall and placed new pipes to the source. Fixed the water heater. I am very happy with North Brothers and will call them again when in need. Highly recommend.

We had a complicated situation with our water meter and pipes running through our next door neighbor's property. We called North Brothers since we have been happy with their work in the past. We needed to have our meter and pipes configured on our own property. For this job we were not surprised that Jay once again delivered top-notch service at a fair price.

I have used North Bros/Jay several times, at several residences. The first time I hired him it was to try and get a problem fixed that another plumber had screwed up. Once he fixed that, I know he was my new go-to plumber! Just had him in to fix all 3 leaking baths in my new home and I feel confident that he knows what he is doing.

First time using North. I had a hole in a pipe under my house, which was leaking. Jay came out timely and noticed an issue with a sagging pipe under the kitchen sink. He fixed the hole and propped up the sagging pipe. Took about three hours. He was timely and polite, and the cost was reasonable. I have dealt with many plumbers in the past. Jay is the only one I am going to call again!

I've used North Brothers Plumbing for four or five years on a number of different projects in my Craftsman Bungalow. Jay is very professional, the prices are reasonable and they're from a job-price list he has, so his pricing is not based on what he thinks he can ding you for. He's done a number of jobs for me: * repairing a leaking toilet * repairing leaking drains (never the same one twice) * cleaning drains * gas repiping for a replacement stove (more than a simple connection). He's even repaired some poor homeowner installations without embarrassing me.

I don't usually write reviews but my experience with North Brothers Plumbing and Rooter was so positive that I want people to know there are still great small businesses out there! Jay arrived on time, was professional, reasonable priced and did great work. He left everything spotless and my plumbing problems were solved in one day.

Jay came out because we had a few plumbing issues and questions. Both bathroom sinks were leaking - turns out our faucets were bad, he answered questions about our outdoor water filter and the water pipes under our house. After he was done, he packed up and I asked "How much do I owe you?" and he said "If it's under 30 minutes, it's no charge." He is personable and knowledgable. I will call him to install our new sink faucets when they are delivered. Thank you Jay!

A five-star rating, and they haven't even done any plumbing yet. I called re: a leak from my upstairs bathroom into my dining room, received pleasant customer service on the phone, and got a next-day appointment at a specific time, not a window. Unfortunately, the leak refused to leak while Jay was here. He kindly wrote up several estimates from best case to worst case scenario, and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely call North Brothers to do the work when the leak inevitably comes back. *EDIT* The leak did come back, and Jay fixed it expertly.

Totally stressed out when we experienced major back up in both bathrooms. Like most folks, I didn't have extra money laying around for unforeseen plumbing issues. Called North Brothers and they were at my home within a couple hours. Problem was resolved in a very timely manner and the dreaded bill was less than I was expecting.

Jay is the best in the business. We had him do a trenchless liner on our 80 year old sewer pipe. His price was very reasonable and he got it done in one day. The alternative was a week of work and digging up a rusted iron pipe 12 feet underground and into the public street. Would have cost a fortune. When we ended up moving to a new house, the inspector found a little failure in the liner and Jay came back to fix it.

His warranty is outstanding. He's also unclogged several bathroom and kitchen drains for us and we haven't needed to service them since. If you want a really nice guy who owns his own equipment and gets the job done efficiently and for very fair pricing, do not look further!

Honest and professional plumber! Jay cleared some tree roots in our sewer line and notified me at that time that it appeared as though that clay pipe might need to be patched, which was going to be a very pricey repair, so we put it off for a few months. Within that time another plumber came out through our warranty company to check on a sewage smell emanating from the front bathroom (which we now believe was due to a dead rat under the house).

They too looked at the sewer line and declared that that pipe needed a spot repair. We weren't sold however on the way that second plumber proposed to repair the line, so we called Jay back to schedule the job through him. He came prepared to do the work, but upon closer inspection, realized that what he was seeing in the camera was not a broken pipe after all, but just a joint in the line that could easily be mistaken as a crack.

He then notified us to say that he felt as though it would be a waste of money to go through with the work, and that our sewer line looked fine after all. We were of course elated with the news, and thankful to have been given such an honest opinion from Jay, when he easily could have just taken our money and gone through with the work.

Called this morning to make an appointment for a time sensitive plumbing need. I was told Jay would come out tomorrow between 8-9a by the woman in his office. Jay texted me at almost 6p tonight to inform me he has a job he is on for a week and has to "pass/decline on coming out." Super unprofessional.

I highly recommend North Brothers Plumbing & Rooter. We called for an estimate and Jay came within 2 hours of our call. When he discovered that our job was not one he felt comfortable doing, he said so and recommended another plumber. He also fixed a faucet for no charge. It is rare to find someone with this level of honesty and integrity these days.

I would give these people 0 stars if possible. I called to get a quote because of a problem that our 7 condo unit was having and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and said they could not help even though their website describes the exact problem I was trying to fix. I was trying to get a quote on a sump pump and repair costs and before I could even describe the problem I was hung up on.

I called back and told the same person to listen to the problem before saying no and got hung up on again. Worst business that I have had to deal with and very unprofessional.

I used North Brothers to put in a new line to my refridgerator. Be very careful that you understand what you are paying. They have one price (in large type) for their "club" and one (much higher) for non-club members. I thought the service was way over-priced for what they did. Also the line keeps getting clogged up. They came out once to fix it, haven't called them again for the second "fix".

I would not call them again and would try to find a better value. Their tech, Jay, was very nice however. REVISED 7/25/13 Today I had to have all their work redone because it leaked and caused $1200 worth of damage. Not happy.
