Would never use them again. I went down to their main office and met the owner who assured me all his crews had worked for him many, many years. I selected a hard wax, as the owner recommended and showed my on the showroom floor. when the young kids showed up, they had never even heard of hard wax and had no idea how to use it. Later the manager showed up for 5 minutes and told me I'd be better off using a standard poly to be "safe" since they were not familiar with the hard wax.
On top of that, they left some nasty gouges where they let the belt sander idle in one place and it is permanently damaged. I strongly recommend you avoid this company, since the crews are very inconsistent, the manager was not involved, and the owner will not tell you the truth.

My experience with T & G Flooring has been extremely positive. They provided a detailed estimate, completed the work in a timely manner, and were very careful about the condition of the premises and clean up after the job was finished. They provided detail instructions prior to the beginning of the project and information about how to maintain the floors when the project was completed. Both the owner and his employees were always prompt, courteous and efficient. We are very pleased with the beautiful hardwood floors in our home thanks to T & G

T&G Flooring did such an amazing job matching up to our existing hardwood floors, installing new hardwood floors, and staining everything to perfection! We can not tell at all where the existing floors were and new ones start, they are completely seamless! Tony is so easy to communicate and work with and he really went above and beyond for me, anytime I needed him he was there and always called to keep me up to date on the job!
He had to juggle working around the painters and did everything with ease. I would recommend T&G Flooring to everyone! Our floors turned out better then I ever expected and they made the process so easy. We were on a time crunch to get the floors done before we moved in and Tony made that happen! He was such a pleasure to work with and so very knowledgeable and really helped me through the process which can be overwhelming on a time crunch and answered all questions for caring for the floors after!
They are a top notch small run business that I would recommend anyone to use and support. They do such amazing work! Thank you T&G Flooring for bringing our home back to life with the wonderful new hardwood floors!

T&G Flooring did a great job matching the 1950's oak flooring for our remodel. They made several patches that were necessary because we removed some walls and built in cabinets. Then they refinished the floors on the whole main level of the house. Jose suggested a stain that we love. It's beautiful and we're very happy. Services: Install flooring, Repair flooring

We were so happy that we hired T&G Flooring! We had new hardwood floors installed and our current floors refinished. Kass, who did our job, was very communicative, quick, and excellent at what he does. He even recommended a new wood stain we were not even thinking was an option and it looks beautiful with the rest of our home. Definitely would recommend T&G Flooring.

I have never had a better experience with a contractor. From the initial estimate, through the actual work, and the final inspection, the owner and employees of this business were prompt, courteous, and efficient. We now have incredibly beautiful hardwood floors in our home which wow our friends when they visit. We think you will enjoy working with this company and the final results!

I have used T & G before and I was not disappointed that I used them again. The quality of workmanship was top notch. The craftsmen that they sent to do my project were true professionals at their craft. The installation of my oak floors was perfect. The sand and finish is absolutely beautiful. We could not be happier. It was worth being torn up for a few days to now have a beautiful upgrade to our home. I would recommend T & G to any of my friends because I know they would get the same results. Great job T & G!

We hired T&G Flooring based on several recommendations from former customers on NextDoor. We wanted to have our yellow oak flooring stained a darker color. T&G sent out Chris to give us an estimate. Chris was thorough, professional, and friendly. He answered a lot of questions and gave me a very good idea of what to expect. We stained roughly 1200sqft of hardwood on our main floor.
Project took 5 days to complete (we scheduled the project for when we were already planning to be out of town). The final floor turned out AMAZING. We're so happy with it. Makes the entire house feel different and more modern. We did need to have Chris come out to do a small touch-up on an area where the stain wasn't quite even. He took care of that the next day after I made the request. We were very pleased with T&G and especially Chris and would recommend them to others.

T&G Flooring did an awesome job! Renee was great. She came out to take measurements and got back to me quickly with a quote. She was very responsive and nice to work with. Chris was also very nice and was able to get me scheduled right away. Cory installed the flooring and did a fantastic job! My floors look awesome and I'm very glad I went with T&G. I would strongly recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with T&G Flooring. We had two bedrooms switched from carpet and installed 3 1/4 inch oak floors to mimic the current hardwood in other areas of our house. Every person we spoke to from the showroom, to the installation coordinator, and the installer were friendly and professional. Such a refreshing experience compared to other contractors we've used in the past.
I would recommend T&G Flooring to anyone. They do a beautiful job from begging to end. If you're looking for a hassle-free, quality experience then these are your contractors! Thanks T&G for making what could have been a nightmare project into a stress free situation! And our new floors are gorgeous!

They were supposed to refinish our floors. After weeks, the new finish was not completely cured. The finish rubbed off in places, was spotty, and looked terrible. I had to hire someone else come and redo the floors. Either something was wrong with the product or they applied it improperly. I think they didn't wait long enough between coats. The worst part was that they told us they would come back and fix it.
They kept delaying and then said they would not. They were extremely rude and threatened to to put a lien on our house even though we had paid in full and were the ones left with the damaged floor. It was completely bizarre and unprofessional. I would never let them back in my house. I also posted something online and found several other customers who had a similar experience.

Excellent work. My wife already went into great detail. I wanted to show some photos of the new floor. The original flooring was carpet with some damage done to the existing wood floors underneath from 40 years of age. The guys at T&G made both the existing floors and the new flooring in the bedrooms look brand new.

Chris and his crew was great, they kept me informed on a daily basis. They were on job daily as he said they would be. Job was finished on time. I will definitely use T&G again. I had another company start my job, quality was terrible they didn't know what they were doing and there bid was Much higher than T&G. I sure learned a lesson. Go with a reputable experienced Company.

Yes, Our experience with this flooring company T&G was excellent. They were great communicators, efficient in the work, clear on schedule and well priced. We will call on them to refinish our main floor hardwoods, and the addition of stairs and landing on second floor is beautiful. We are thrilled! Thanks T&G

I wish there was a partial star rating so I could go above 4 stars without having to go to five. I visited their showroom prior to purchase and was working with Renee. She has been in the business for decades and is extremely knowledgeable about all the products and the procedures. We took some samples home and decided to extend my existing Brazilian cherry instead of replacing it.
The work required quite a bit of interleaving to integrate the new wood into the old. The installation went without a hitch and looked great. Then the sanding and sealing team came in to finish the job. I was away on vacation during this time so it had plenty of time to cure before we got back. The floors looked amazing! My only reason for not giving them 5 stars was that their cleanup wasn't complete.
There was one piece of protective plastic left up, two smoke alarms that weren't uncovered, and a few spots with tape still attached where the plastic was up. They were really good to get installation scheduled around my vacation. Their estimate of how long it would take was a bit off but since I wasn't here it didn't cause any issues.
Follow up after install was also good and we scheduled to connect in another month to see if anything comes up that neither of us noticed on the walk-through. Completely and totally happy with the way the floors came out.

Save yourself and do not use T&G Flooring. I've waited several months to leave this review. I didn't want to write something out of anger but every time I look at my floor and clean it I'm angry. Please read this entire review before using this company. From beginning to end it's one of the worst experiences. I am going to list them as they occurred.
I purchased a townhome in Curtis Park. I contacted T&G to sand and refinish the bamboo floors on the second floor and replace the carpet with bamboo on the 3rd floor. The debacle that took place was infuriating to begin with. Renee told us that the wood for the 3rd floor was available and they could do both before we moved in. Great. However, as the sanding and refinishing of the second floor was happening Renee let us know the mill' didn't have the bamboo for the 3rd floor.
At least 6 to 8 weeks for that. We moved in and I contacted T&G to let them know I thought the finish on the second floor was not right. Tony came out to look at it and told us it was good and we were wrong. Well, I broke my heel shortly after, and was crawling on my on hands and knees. My dog peed on the floor I watched the wood absorb it. I mean soaked it up.
It took me 2 hours to clean it. Laying on the floor absorbing it with paper towel. I wanted to cry! I've owned many homes with hardwood floors and never had that happen with dog urine. Chris came out and told me that happens. I was also at the mercy of a knee scooter. The tires from the scooter left several stains on the bamboo where I parked it at the stairway that I had to crawl up from the second floor to the 3rd floor. Chris told me it was a chemical reaction from the finish and the sun.
After a lengthy disagreement Chris agreed to refinish the floors. That meant moving out and well you know. He wanted it done in his time frame. However, that was after we had already moved out because of the next issue. Finally 6 or so weeks later my autistic son, my 2 dogs and, I stayed in a hotel for 3 days while the 3rd floor bamboo was installed.
Still broken heel, knee scooter, paid a moving company to move furniture from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor, asked his employee before leaving if he knew the master closet was in the order. He said yes. Came home the carpet was in the master closet. I looked at the order and the master closet was the first thing on the order. There was glue all over the floors.
So much it was ridiculous. Tony came to clean up the glue. Apparently, he just didn't feel like it and left me with a solution to do it myself. They installed the the closet flooring and cleaned up the glue then. Because, I insisted. In the end I took it upon myself to get 5 plus estimates to fix the 2nd floor. Sent them to Chris after he sent a collection agency after me.
I sent the estimates to him and the collection agency. Chris's response was that he would only refinish the floors by a person he chose. You know what? I paid him the thousands of dollars left on the invoice because my life was in a shambles. My brother passed away tragically during the process. I wanted it out of my life. I just cleaned the floors on my hands and knees.
I saw what a mess they are and I won't get over this. Chris only cares about the $ and not the quality of the workmanship or the customer satisfaction. I could say a lot more about my interaction with Chris and my sons interaction with him. Hopefully, I've said enough. When I sell this home I will have to replace the 2nd floor bamboo or give a credit. It's much worse then before T&G.

We would not recommend this company. They are very unresponsive when it comes to just getting an estimate. We can't imagine what a nightmare they would be to work with. The representative, Tony, came out, measured up our job, promised an estimate within a few days and three weeks later, nothing. I would never allow this company in my home to perform a project.

Unfortunately T and G used a piece of wood that buckled up badly in the new hardwoods that they provided in our family room. Our contractor informed us that they should have been able to notice that the board was bad prior to the installation. The buckled area is now under an area rug and is not visible. To their credit, T and G offered to take out the board, replace it with another board and then re-sand and stain the family room area where this occurred. However, they also told me that by re-sanding the floor that you are taking away some of its life.
Why would I want to have a crew in my house for 3 days making a mess when the outcome is going to look the same (given the area rug)? My solution was to deduct the amount from their final payment that it would cost for a crew to come out and re-do the floor. In the end, the floor is not going to look any different, it will be a BIG mess and the life of my new floor will be diminished. Chris from T and G did not call us back (evidently he was on vacation and didn't change his phone prompt) but took us to collections! Shame on this company for not being reasonable!
We should have known in the beginning it was a bad choice when their carpenters chose to cut the boards IN OUR HOUSE and not the garage. I have NEVER seen so much dust! The owner, Chris, responded by saying the it was my idea to replace the board. This is a total lie. Because of the bad result, the company had the general manager, Tony, come to our house to see if he could repair the board.
Although he was able to make dozens of areas with imperfections better, he was not able to do make the buckling better. Tony recommended that they replace the board, re-sand and re-stain. T and G would only give us a $200 discount if we chose to not have them come back out. I know it would cost way more for labor and supplies for a 3 day job. I'm hopeful that Chris reads this and takes care of his customer. We just want to be treated fairly. We will end up paying our full bill (minus the negligible $200) but will never use this company again.

We were very impressed by the whole process from start to finish on getting our new flooring. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and did what they told me they were going to do when they said it would be done. The installation job started the day it was scheduled and ended a day early and it couldn't have been handled any better. There wasn't a mess.

I will not be recommending this company. There were many mistake. T&G is difficult to get ahold of and has poor customer service. The floors they did in my large home had to be repaired because of the shoddy initial work. I had to eat the cost to pay movers to completely move us out, as T&G insurance/warranty does not cover those expenses. It has taken 1.5years to finish our project to some sort of satisfaction. Kinder, more organized, and more accessible management would have made a big difference, but we really had to push for communication

Chris is the owner. His hardwood 101 class is very good. He does a good job on the sales side. Omar was the independent Contractor installer. he was excellent. Steve delivered the wood. he was good. Where this shop falls short is communicating and scheduling with the Customer. That was a nightmare. Chris would create a work order for someone on the team to do an install at my house, but unfortunately would fail to communicate this to me in advance to confirm it would work and I would actually be home. Thus, the installer would call me in the morning after I've already gone to work and say they have an order to do the install at my place, or worse. that they are already at my place.
I communicated this issue to Chris on more than one occasion and there was almost an antagonistic response as if I were the one to blame. Not customer service oriented at all. I would recommend Omar for an installation. he was friendly and did a great job. But I would not recommend T&G for anything other than giving information on hardwood options. Communication and follow-thru are just not there and I was quite disappointed in the overall experience due to that.

T&G Flooring did a wonderful job on our floors. The installation crew was great, professional and efficient in the installation and very friendly. We needed the work done during the holidays, with short notice. They made wonderful recommendations on the work that could be done to create the look we were after. They recommended the best materials to be used and the finish to make the room look incredible.
All of this and T&G was able to make it happen in the short lead-time that we had before our holiday visitors arrived. T&G is a joy to work with and the finished product has transformed our entry and living room. We are looking forward to having then come in and refinish the remaining floors this spring and we wouldn't think of using anyone else! Having T&G work up a quote for more work on our floors. They have done a lot of work in their showroom, looks great and the classes that they offer on hardwood flooring are great.

T & G installed my hardwood flooring 3 years ago and I was very unhappy with the way my floors looked after only a few short months. We had a lot of other things going on at the time so addressing the floors was unfortunately not at the top of our list. It was not until close to two years later that I contacted them to discuss some possible remedies.
After meeting with me at my home, I never heard back from them again! I left message upon message and it was clear they wanted no part of standing behind their work. Since then, I had another company come in and fix my floors to the tune of several thousand dollars. It has also been brought to my attention that T&G changed ownership shortly after my project and the new owner would not have tolerated this kind of service.
I was unaware of the ownership change because the person who came to meet me last year was the previous owner of the company who is still with T&G despite the sale. In all fairness, I'm not sure how the new company is but I recently chatted with the owner and it sounds as though they have changed the company around to avoid situations such as mine.

An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Substandard, no attention to detail. This company lied about the whole process. We asked for dustless, they showed up with a broom, a dustpan, and a backpack vacuum. We had an inch of sawdust all over and they didn't even clean it up before they started the urethane coat. The sawdust was actually floating in the air so thick it was like fog. Knotholes were filled in with a beige paste instead of epoxy so the floor looked like polka dots.
The final finish was scratched, dull, cloudy. The floor looked better BEFORE they started. We requested a different crew to fix it, they sent the same guys. Again, floor looked bad so we asked a third time they send someone who knew what they were doing to come and fix it. Again, they sent back the same two guys. This time they forgot to take off their shoes or to wear booties while applying the urethane, and now there is sand and grit through the entire floor.
We could see it before the floor even got dry. This company advertises attention to detail and quality, do not believe it. For us it was a nightmare that we are going to have to get someone else to fix. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
