I highly recommend New York Wood Flooring, the whole team is very professional, responsive and very helpful, all experts! I am very happy to have found them. I had no idea where to go and what to expect for floor work. Tony gave me all the information & answers to my questions when he came for the walk through. Sandra was super fast & helpful in getting the paperwork ready and organizing the whole project.

Everything went so smoothly, and they have scheduled it immediately, and finished my apartment in 2 days. Martin & team did an amazing job in the apartment, very clean, tidy, on time, and with attention to detail. I was very scared to loose the original color of my floors, as I had no idea about the process, now, my floors are exactly the same color and perfect in every way. Floor Repair & Refinishing Project - Top Notch customer service but the quality of the floor repair and refinishing job was sub par - surprising because I used them previously and the last job was excellent! Floor finish is grainy and sandy feeling to the touch. Feels like walking on sand when barefoot and looks like wood dust is trapped in the layers of polyurethane. Also, replaced some but not all of the water damaged boards so I still have 4 or so cupped boards (the repair of which was the reason for the floor repair/refinishing project in the first place). Disappointing - I'm not sure what happened but I would not use them again. I may even replace the floor or have it redone by someone else given the weird finish texture.

These guys do a fantastic job! I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work. My refinished parquet floor looks superb, even the details- the edges, and corners. They were responsive and easy to deal with. Thanks Brian.

Three weeks ago I first spoke with NY Wood Flooring, and I already have a gorgeous new floor in my home! When Anthony and Sandro visited to take measurements I felt instant comfort in working with them. The job itself went seamlessly; scheduling was easy and the friendly and professional crew finished a two bedroom apartment in two days, including removal of an old floor.

I was very surprised and extremely happy! This is not cut-rate pricing, but it is high quality and low stress; like Tony told me - he would hire him, and I completely agree! A pleasure all around!

I am super happy with my floor job. Anthony worked with me through the whole project. We had to delay it due to CoVid and as soon. as we could plan it, we finally got it done. His workers and office staff are highly professional and down to earth. They are wonderful people to work with. Look no further, these are the people you want to hire. These guys have been amazing to work with through the pandemic and getting my flooring. They have spent time with me on the phone and in person making sure I could get everything I needed before the store closed. I did end up not having one thing, but when they opened back up, they were quick to help.

We hired New York Wood Flooring to replace original 90+ year old wood floors in our apartment. The NYWF team worked fast and worked well, doing a good job very quickly. We had one thing we asked them to correct, which they promptly did. Overall, they were great to work with!

I was getting my floors refinished while I was getting my apartment ready to go on the market. The owner of the company came by to check out the floor. There was a dark water stain that he said would go away after the refinishing. He was wrong. The person that interacts with the customers at this company is named Sandra. I told her that I was told the stain would go away and it did not.

She told me to send her a picture of it and they would figure out a way to resolve this issue. I sent her a picture and she didn't get back to me. I sent her a nother email a couple of days later and she didn't get back to me then eather. She just blew me off. I sold the apartment soon after that and the buyer was not bothered by the stain so I just let it go, but I am just writing this to say that this company can do a lot better when it comes their employees.

They are terrible! I wouldn't give them any stars, but I can't. They are unresponsive to client and their job is subpar. Use them at your own discretion. I think they posted all the sterling reviews.

I highly recommend NY Wood Flooring for installations of new floors as well as repairs to existing floors. I had new flooring installed by them and they did a beautiful job. The installers were very professional and the apartment was left with a minimal amount of dust. About 3 years later, I noticed white spots on about 10 of the floor boards. Without having Anthony come to my apartment to check it out, I decided to have the boards replaced.

The workmen showed up (on time) and said they think the spots could be removed with a solution they had in their van. They were correct. I appreciated their honesty and ability to solve the problem without removing and replacing part of my floor. I would use them all over again if I wanted any other flooring installed.

Please never ever use this company. My experience with them has been absolutely terrible. They canceled the entire job i hired them to do the day they were scheduled to begin. A summary of the events that transpired are below, you can judge for yourself: - In march we requested a quote for sanding and staining my one bedroom apartment was requested.

It was mentioned in the email that we wanted low VOC stain and a matte poly finish. - May 7th samples of the stains were to be done at 9am in our apartment. We arranged our work schedules around this being completed by 9:30am as per NY Wood floors. The workers arrived after 10:30am and did not bring the correct materials. Nonetheless they did the samples. - We called, email and included in the contract the materials we wanted used(i have proof of this).

At that moment we had mentioned wanting low VOC stain and a matte poly finish 7 times. NY wood floors confirmed that would be the case. - The job was scheduled to begin on May 9 and be completed by May 11. The workers arrived at the apartment with the wrong materials. AGAIN. - When I called I was told by the owner of the company that those materials were never mentioned (not true and i have proof) but that everything would be solved. - An hour later, another worker from NY wood floors called to tell me that they would be leaving and would no longer do the job at all.

They canceled the entire job on me the day they were scheduled to begin. - The implications of this irresponsible decision on behalf of NY Wood Flooring cannot be understated. We had a schedule different contractors and work to be done in our apartment that all depended on the floors being completed by May 11th. By NY Wood Flooring canceling, we had to delay all other projects indefinitely and find a new company to do our floors.

Not to mention the fact that in preparation for the floor work, we had packed all of our belongings and moved out of our apartment! - In addition to them breaking a legal contract, the owner of the company tried to justify the termination of the contract by lying and saying I threatened to not pay them. This never happened, i also have proof of this.

Especially when i had already paid them in cash 50% of the total amount for the job. - All other renovations had to be put on hold and rescheduled. Not to mention that my floors are currently damaged with 3 large stains in the middle of my living room because of the samples they did do. Please never ever use them. You will live to regret it.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team for such an amazing job with my floors and were so careful and tidy too. the transformation from before is simply amazing and I could not be happier. We just had a really fantastic experience with New York Wood Flooring on the installation of our hardwood floors in our Manhattan apartment. The owner, Tony, visited twice in order to assess the project and then to review all the details with the foreman who would be onsite. From the beginning, we could see that Tony was truly committed to very high standards of workmanship, and very thorough about what the project would entail. Needless to say, his crew showed up on time (to the minute) and completed the entire apartment in two days, which was amazing since this included demolition, removal, installation and molding.

The other contractors we spoke with said the project would take a week or more. The floors look really beautiful as they were installed with precision and attention to detail. Even the places you can't see, like closet interiors, were completed without fault. On top of this, the workmen left our place sparkly clean. Special kudos to Enrique, for leading a terrific team, and Alex, for his expert and creative craftsmanship in staining and finishing the closet transitions. Highly recommended!

My experience with New York Wood Flooring could not be better! Had the 30 yr old parquet flooring in my condo replaced due to age and wear and tear. Tony was one of 3 contractors I had come over to give me estimates. While his estimate was the higher of the 3, the other 2 contractors said they would do anything I wanted. Tony gave me some suggestions based on his years of experience, which helped me build confidence in him and his company.

As I choose engineered wood, I would not have to put everything in my apt into storage. The would move the large pieces around and lay the new flooring down. Renovation day arrives and Jeff and his crew come into my apt and take my bed apart in 5 seconds! I had to do a double take! I come back at the end of the day after they have left to check on the work.

The have the kitchen sealed up and all my furniture in the center of the come covered and taped with a plastic seal so as to keep dust from getting everywhere. At the end, I am extremely happy with the quality if the materials they provided, the quality of the work and the professionalism of the owner and employees. The cost was on the high end of the estimates I got, but you really do get what you pay for.

I will be enjoying my new floors for years to come. P.s. They didn't remember the exact placement of the furniture when they put everything back. So they put the pieces where they thought it would be. My apt looks even better now with the newly rearranged furniture and the new floors!

If anyone is looking for a painter, cabinet maker, or to have a new floor installed, I just finished the renovation to my condo and I'm completely satisfied and had a great experience. Another homeowner recommended Anthony Valenti, president and CEO of New York Wood Flooring/New York Renovations and I decided to use them after I received three bids for similar work to be done in my unit.

I am so pleased with all the work that was done to my unit. They replaced my flooring, they painted my entire apartment, installed new molding throughout the apartment, and they built custom cabinets with under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. They were on time all the time, they covered all my "stuff" so it wouldn't get dusty, put all my "stuff" back to where it belonged and dusted my "stuff" as well.

And they completed the project on time with no punch list items. Zorhan was the Project Manager, and he was in contact with me on a somewhat daily basis. He was a pleasure to work with. He wanted to make sure I was Happy.

I am so glad I went with New York Wood Flooring. The price was fair, the result was excellent and everyone at the company made you feel that they were working with you. So all around 5 stars.

Did a flawless job re-staining our wood floors to a beautiful dark color. Would have given five stars if the workers had taped up our base boards to protect from accidental stain. Highly recommend (just make sure the installers tape up your base boards).

We recently had to refinish all the maple wood floors in our condo in Brooklyn. We contacted them on a Saturday and they came right out to give us an estimate, unlike another company that didn't even return our calls. They came in at a good price, did the floors in two days, even replaced a broken board. The floors look wonderful. A great experience for us, I highly recommend this company.

New York Wood Flooring is the best contractor my husband and I used in over 30 years in Manhattan. General manager Zoran followed us from start to finish and he made personally sure his crew was always on time, professional and tidy. Thanks to Zoran, we finished our project ahead of time and on budget: almost a miracle in the world of contractors. We couldn't have been happier with the results. I recommend Zoran and this company without reservation.

We used Anthony and his team for a sizable project that involved a complete redo of the floors, two new bathrooms and some other more minor elements. He originally came recommended from a good friend who sung his praises and intended to use him again on another project. Our experience was also very positive - he was on time and on budget as well as very professional. We found him responsive and was personally involved in many elements in addition to managing his team. We would happily recommend him to others and use him in the future.

Negative Zero. I have now been having my bathroom renovated it started January 11, 2016. I have never been in this situation before. It was obvious Zoran the GC was fitting me into other jobs. The subs shows up when they want no matter what preparations I made for the day. He has damaged my wallpaper, chipped my radiator cover and never told me I had to point it out finally today April 4th he is here.

The reason he is here is because I called him and told him to come here. By the way this was suppose to be done last week they never came. He has rarely been here in the morning when his men show up I feel like the GC. He makes excuses after excuses. It s now April 7th. He showed up yesterday to fix the radiator cover but the day before I was to get a mirror- oh yes I had my vanity and sink mirrors changed one came in with a bevel as requested and one came in without they didn't come.

They did show up the day after but without a glass shelf that they broke and I just noticed two others are chipped. There is so much more to say but it sickens me to think about it. Late that afternoon I received their final bill. How ironic is that and what nerve. It is now April 14th and I never receive the glass shelf and they haven't not returned my email.

I was also charged for floor tiles that they damaged on my floor which I will not pay. I wish I had some other recourse other than writing this review. It just doesn't seem enough for the hours and nights I've been sick to my stomach.

NY Wood Flooring did a fantastic job. They sanded, stained, and sealed the old wood floors throughout my UES apt. The place looks beautiful! Excellent service and value.

We had our entire apartment hard wood floor replaced. We got estimates from 2-3 contractors; Tony from New York Wood Flooring, who I believe owns the company, came personally and took measurements. He was on time, professional, helpful, and informative. He invited us to the showroom where we picked out some very nice dark hard wood, and selected a herringbone installation pattern. Tony and Sandra did all of the necessary approvals with my building.

They were easy to work with and communicate. The most important thing is that the work began on time - it took 3 days, and his workers moved all of my stuff around from room to room. The wood looks amazing and the craftsmanship was impressive. We also bought kitchen tiles separately, and his workers installed those tiles and the saddles. That took 2 more days.

After just one week, we had brand new flooring through the whole apartment, the place was a bit dusty but to be expected. All of the furniture and stuff was in the original locations. And we are very happy with the work product. Also, the price might have been a hair more than others, but reasonable, especially given the convenience and quality. I would trust these guys to do my next flooring project.

All I can say is WOW! I was not at all looking forward to having our floors sanded -based on what I'd heard from others. Not only do our floors look fantastic - but they went above and beyond to keep the wood dust out of things. They left things in really good shape - so our clean up was really easy. They also were really careful when they moved our furniture. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I'm so jealous that all the other yelpers loved their floors. I so wish I love mine too. I chose this company vs a cheaper competitor because of the stellar yelp reviews. I had my floor refinished last Tuesday. I came home and the floor didn't look any different from before. It didn't look refinished - just wiped. If not for the dust everywhere (I'm guessing from the sanding), I wouldn't have believed anyone had refinished it.

It really seemed as if someone wiped the floors, set off a dust bomb and left. There was dust everywhere - I wiped the walls again this morning (my tiny studio never looked bigger) and I'm nervous that I'll never get rid of this dust (if the floors looked beautiful AND dusty, I wouldn't mind the dust so much). Maybe the expectations weren't set correctly. Maybe my mom was right when she told me to just go to Home Depot and install laminate flooring. Pictures attached.
