Wow! An impeccable experience. I had water damage to my apartment over the holidays, and John and his company stepped in during that busy time and pulled the process through seamlessly (and quickly). They are super professional, and really walk the walk. I'm beyond glad that I chose them to re-install my hardwood flooring. The floors are gorgeous! Replacing floors can be a huge undertaking, but you can't go wrong with NYC Floor Pro.

John was professional from the start. He estimated a full floor replacement due to water damage, but also provided an alternative repair of the damaged area and thought he could feather it in if we could get a wood match. John and his company did an exceptional job refinishing the hardwood floors in my condominium. John was kind, responsive, and he managed the project exceptionally well. A few days before we were scheduled to start my closing on the condominium was canceled. John was super understanding and put me back on the calendar right after we closed on the purchase. My hardwood floors look amazing. This company did excellent work and I strongly recommend them.

We just purchased a 3 bedroom condo with scratched and stained floors, I immediately decided to retain their services again -- I am so glad I did. My floor had got water damage and needed the whole floor replaced. I had looked into a bunch of different companies before meeting with John. He explained everything and gave me a breakdown of everything and answered all my questions. He responds very quickly over email on every step of the way, I was told it would take 2-3 days which was fine but the entire job was finishing in 1 day super fast.

The job came out absolutely beautiful and looks like a dance floor hahaha. I would absolutely without a doubt call him if I ever needed anything else. I highly Suggest this company and you would not have any regrets at all.

From the first quote to the finished floor, these guys are as good as it gets! They have specialized crews for leveling and installation, sanding and finishing and each of them are at the top of their game. Attentive and quick to react to any unforeseen problem. Incredibly responsive - I first inquired about new floors on October 28th and they were installed by December 1st, despite needing coop board approval. The quality of materials and workmanship was excellent, and the work itself was completed more quickly than expected (2 days for the entire apartment) and on the original budget. I would highly recommend John and NY Floor Pro. I had some water-damaged floors in my apartment, so I needed the damaged section replaced and the rest of the floors sanded and stained to match. John knew exactly what materials were needed, and was very flexible with timing (which changed a lot on my end due to other contractors' mistakes). The job was estimated to take 2-3 days but was done in a day and a half. Everything looks perfect. Easily the smoothest experience I've had with a contractor in the city. Five stars.

I recently had a floor repair and refinishing done in my apartment and would recommend NYC Floor Pro without hesitation. As you go through your selection process for contractors, you will come across several personality types. Some seem too casual, others snooty and some others just too busy or too eager. After talking to a few in the trade, it was clear that I should pick John Danino.

He came across as trustworthy, sincere and knowledgeable, and seemed to care. On a side note, his was one of the two highest quotes I received. John deployed a crew of three, including the foreman--one specialized in sanding, the second seemed to focus on the easy fixes while the foreman was working on the non-trivial parts and also overseeing the work. John would come in for a few minutes each day to check on the work.

Overall I am pleased with how the work turned out. John and his team were dealing with a floor that was not laid out well in the first place, so there were limitations in how much they could improve it. Within those constraints, they did a nice job. A couple of lessons I learnt from this work: - clear the space and do not rely on the flooring team to move any furniture around. John had told me about this.

They are not professional movers, so you are better off clearing the workspace with the help of movers. I had just one piece of furniture I could not move--my closet. It couldn't be easily disassembled and ended up causing issues during the work - check the work actively and closely along the way. John's profitability is predicated on finishing the work quickly.

That speed I discovered comes at the cost of attention to detail. The team returned for touch-ups twice, but I wish I had been more observant and flagged the issues real time since it is harder to fix imperfections in flooring work after the fact All said, I would go back to John when I need any more work done on my floor, a bit wiser from this recent experience. He aims to meet your expectations and is a pleasure to work with.

NYC Apt: I just wanted to say John and his team did an amazing job! Not only was he beyond punctual at every appointment; he was the first one to reply back to all my emails. He was very direct- and gave top notch advice to a new home owner. I recently purchased a PentHouse Unit in NYC; and he made it look even more glamorous than before. All new floors, and and in such a QUICK time period.

He has no problem going step by step through the final walk-thru, and making sure it is up to your personal standard. I appreciated everything he brought to the table, and I would recommend his company to anyone out there! *****

John was super communicative and great to work with. We had to get full floor replacement in our living room/dining room after a flood- however, the bedrooms went undamaged so we needed to match the existing 5 year old floors. We were not happy with the first round of stain (we know how difficult it is to match existing floors) but John's team adjusted the stain, matching better than we initially expected.

We would definitely use again. Our neighbors even complimented what polite contractors they were to have in the building! Thanks to John and team for being the easiest part of our repairs.

The floor in our new apartment seemed a bit scratched and yellow so I reached out to multiple companies on Yelp, and John was by far the most prompt and communicative. He came to check out the floor in person (waited in the car for over an hour for me) and was honest and upfront about what to expect and what would be worth doing. Fast forward to the actual result - my floor is completely scratchless and stunning. The job was finished in such a timely manner and on top of all, I appreciate how communicative John has been throughout the whole process.

I had to replace my hardwood floors after a leak with my air conditioner. I reached out to multiple places and found John to be not only the most responsive, but the most knowledgeable. Him and his team were extremely easy to work with, and they got the job done in less time than I expected. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I bought a condo which needed hardwoods installed in two rooms and a lot of existing hardwood refinished. We already had a very strong flooring referral from a trusted friend in the real estate business, but we wanted to make sure we got multiple quotes and found NYC Floor Pro online. When the day came to get our quotes, the other guy was late, didn't call until after his time window was up, and then was late again, but John from NYCFP was the polar opposite.

From the moment he stepped through the door he was the epitome of professionalism and knew exactly what to look for and which questions to ask. He showed us a portfolio of his work, gave us a flooring sample sheet, offered some advice for ways to save money, and gave us a quote right then and there! When the time to decide came, the other guy came in a good bit cheaper, but John did his best to work with us and we happily paid a little extra to enlist someone whom we trusted fully to get things done right.

Fast forward a few weeks to the job start, and our expectations were completely met, with John and his team communicating proactively and fully with us, showing up early, doing fantastic work, and ultimately finishing the job ahead of schedule! Honestly getting our floors done was by far the easiest part of anything we've had to do as part of buying and preparing our condo, and I only regret that we don't have another job for John and NYC Floor Pro! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Refinished my floors about 8 months ago. Paid between $4-5000. The finish was average leaving many cracks between wood. The kitchen was renovated after this refinishing. Some of the old finish showed and we called John Danino to refinish an area approximately 27" x 39", He had two workers sand only the old area and put a yellow gloss over it without sanding down the entire small area.

He said he did it "as a favor". The floor turned yellow and darker then the surrounding area. It was unacceptable. He said he will do it again the right way for $800. We would never hire him again. His favor turned into a catastrophe having to hire another refinisher to do the job properly and pay for his mess do be removed.

John and his team replaced practically every square inch of hardwood flooring in our 1000 sq foot apartment. They quoted us a price that was lower than all the competitors, were the most responsive of all the contractors, and got the job done in 3 days flat, whereas everyone else said it would take over a week. John and his team were highly responsive professional, and left the place extremely clean. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get their floors fixed/replaced.

Finally found honest and reliable flooring company. I've been dying to change my floors for years and finally made my decision to go with them. I contacted few vendors but was rejected due to the amount of labor that was needed for the job. Few companies agreed to do the work but were quoting me in unreasonable price. NYC Floor Pro gave me a great quote and completed the work without any hassle. Can't wait to get a dining room table to enjoy my early morning breakfast on my new floors.

I contracted NYC Floor Pro to install a new hardwood floor in my Manhattan one bedroom apartment. The job involved the removal of an existing floor, installation of sound proofing barrier, installation of a new plywood sub-floor and the installation of a new solid hardwood flooring. John was very professional in providing technical recommendations and providing the necessary paperwork for our strict coop building (proof of license, insurance and scope of work document). John did all possible to accommodate my dates and the work itself was executed as planned and on time resulting in a beautiful new floor.

The two installers (Tony and Cesar) are very experienced floor installers and were pleasant to work with. In summary, I would highly recommend NYC Floor Pro as your next flooring company.

I am very pleased with NYC Floor Pro and John. My elderly mother's apartment got flooded and the bedroom floor needed to be replaced. I've had to help her manage the various repairs from out in here in California, which has been frustrating -- except with NYC Floor Pro. John was courteous to my mother, did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it, and did a great job with the new floor -- my mother is very pleased. I wish my experience with the other repairs was the same as with NYC Floor Pro.

I have to say that my experience with John was top notch from start to finish. My floors were so bad that hills had formed in certain parts of my livingroom. I did my research and knew that sanding them wouldn't solve my problem. They were also very creaky. Doing work in my coop is a pain in the ass but John was very patient and proactive about providing all they requested.

This was a pretty big job: they removed my old floors and base moldings, leveled the baseboards, added sound proofing, and put in new oak floors as well as new base moldings. All this work was accomplished in three days and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend NYC Floor Pro in a heartbeat.

NYC Floor Pro refinished all the wood floors in my home last month and did a fabulous job! The crew was very professional and trustworthy. They accommodated my schedule, showed up on time and cleaned up so well after the job was done. I was surprised to see just how little dust was left after they cleaned up and left virtually no chemical smell. My floors look brand new and blend so nicely!
