Established in 2001, First Impressions Landscaping's beginnings were a small neighborhood yard maintenance company serving Salem, Oregon. Started by husband and wife team, Matt and Tracie Stewart, over the years it has grown in size, scope of services offered and geographic areas of service in order to meet the growing needs of our customers.We incorporated as a full-service landscape design, construction and maintenance firm in 2007. Since inception, quality through craftsmanship has been priority number one. With our customer's being the most important piece of our company, satisfaction is not a goal, it is a standard.

Calls go straight to voicemail and then you have to wait until someone calls you back, which sometimes isn't until the next day. They did not come to spray the weeds when I was told they would, so I had to try to reach them and find out what was going on. Not only had to call them myself because there was no communication, but come to find out right before they were supposed to come out that they were now pushing us back 2 weeks causing us to have to reschedule other things we had planned.
They did come spray weeds 3 times, which was good because they were stubborn. The day they were supposed to come out, I get a text saying they wouldn't be there until the afternoon instead. Turned a 1 day job into 2 half days, so again had to reschedule the other stuff planned for the day after the job was scheduled. They did a great job, but didn't complete it per what I was told. Had to go back and forth to get it straightened out and they did come back to finish it.
Their work was fabulous, but it's the customer service and communication aspect that caused me to give 3 stars instead of 5. Caused more frustration and irritation than it should have for what little of a job we had for them to do.

Bryan Tennant came out to our home, asked pertinent questions to get a good idea of what we were looking for. He had great suggestions to help us create a beautiful backyard. Once we accepted his very reasonable quote, he and his crew came out within the week and in two days installed a 4 zone sprinkler system, created planters with decorative mounds and laid sod. I'm a repeat customer. They installed my irrigation system a few years back. I was so impressed with their work that they were my first choice for my next project. Just recently they installed drain lines to catch the gutter downspouts and added water lines to our new barn. They have a great crew that works hard until the job is done. They are not your typical contractor that doesn't show up when scheduled or comes by for a little bit and leaves for a higher priority project. Highly recommend.
