Distinctive Remodeling

Distinctive Remodeling did an outstanding job on our addition / remodel. Our house was built in the mid 1970s and had a flat roof garage. With Michelle's incredible guidance, we designed a beautiful master suite, redistributed some existing space from our old master to create a room for our son, and updated a secondary bath for our son. The final product is incredible and the process of working with Michelle, Keith, Nick and everyone at Distinctive was beyond words.

For a project of this scale to go so smoothly with such off the charts problem solving is a huge deal. Distinctive Remodeling designed and custom built a detached shop for woodworking and creative tinkering on our property. The process was seamless from design to completion and all staff and tradespersons were professionals. Construction materials were delivered in a timely manner and our property was left neat and tidy at the end of the workday. Details of the building complement our existing home.

We can't say enough about the wonderful job done by Distinctive Remodeling. They transformed our water damaged, dated, kitchen into something neither one of us could have imagined! Creating a new center island was alone a true "game changer". We now have significantly more workspace and storage and the kitchen appears to be twice as large. Our damaged hardwoods were expertly replaced and finished with excellent craftsmanship.

The results are stunning! Eddie Cassanave and his crew were all "top notch" professionals, helping to turn a tough situation into a wonderful outcome! Darren, our project manager, took care of every construction detail and was always there for us to ask questions. Stephanie, our designer, developed designs to make the kitchen both beautiful and efficient.

Matt Faro was terrific to work with when my oven, down vent and cooktop went out and had to be replaced. The good folks at Distinctive Appliances referred me to Matt when we took the opportunity to add a double oven to our kitchen and rework the island for more storage. He and the team went above and beyond to make sure that the new cabinets not only matched, but that all the new appliances that had to be put in were upgraded to code in the installation. The work is beautiful, the service was great. The coordination with Distinctive Appliances was seamless. I would definitely use them again for another project.

I have used Distinctive Remodeling for multiple projects over the years: master bath - kitchen - guest bathrooms - powder room AND laundry room. Every remodel was impeccably designed and flawlessly renovated. I always knew what was happening, always informed of any delays and/or issues, and most importantly always felt like I was being dealt with honestly.

My kitchen remodel was over four years ago, but when I called over an issue I was having with some cabinets, they responded immediately and resolved the problem. For high quality, beautiful and unique designs and renovations I HIGHLY recommend Distinctive Remodeling.

This was my 3rd project with Distinctive Remodeling and I would never use any other company for remodeling work in my home. The owner, Eddie Cassanave, and his team of skilled professionals do outstanding work on all fronts. This most recent project included two major updates to my family room area. We replaced a dated built in bookcase with custom wood cabintry to house a wine refrigerator and bar area.

In that same living space we replaced an old tradtional fireplace and mantle with a new linear model with a floating mantle. Eddie's team was able to help me create and execute my vision. They are responsive, professional, and deliver high quality results!

Distinctive Remodeling was referred to us by a neighbor who used them for a similar project; converting a screened deck into a 3 season sunroom with a natural gas fireplace. We interviewed multiple general contractors and Distinctive was the only one that didn't feel like a sales meeting. First, Eddie Casanave, the owner of Distinctive, met us for every meeting prior to the start of construction. Eddie never tried to push up the price of the scope, he understood our budget and made recommendations to keep us within that budget.

He was very patient with us as we changed the scope of work numerous times. One of the most important things to us (in addition to quality workmanship) was working with a contractor who stands behind their work and Distinctive delivered! Early on in our project, the flooring that was installed turned out to be defective. The flooring manufacturer tried to get us to accept an unimpressive offer to settle things. Eddie made it clear to the manufacturer that this was NOT a homeowner's problem.

The manufacturer agreed to take out all the boards and replace with new ones.which again turned out to be defective. Ultimately, we decided to use a different flooring, which actually resulted in a credit back to us. You heard me correctly! Even with the floor being installed twice, Distinctive stood behind their work and passed none of the additional cost on to us.

Even thought this wasn't their fault, they took ownership of the entire situation. Our project manager and assistant project manager, Keith and Nick, were a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail made us feel like they were treating our project as if it were their own. On more than one occasion, Keith would suggest doing some extra trim out work that wasn't articulated in the contract, but he felt it was something they had to do to make things look exceptional.

In the end, Distinctive delivered a beautiful 3 season sunroom where my wife and I can chillax in peace while the kids and their friends run around our house! Thanks Distinctive!

When my wife and I decided to finish off our bare basement, we researched and interviewed several different remodeling agencies. Our initial visit with Distinctive Remodeling was with Eddie Casanave, the founder/owner of DR. We were both impressed with Eddie, his company and proposed pricing. After signing the contract, we were assigned Michelle as our designer and Keith as our project manager.

We could not have asked for two better people for our project. Michelle came up with a great design (a TV/Entertainment room. two bedrooms and bath) and was beyond patient with helping us decide on materials and colors. Keith created a construction schedule that was shared with us. He also made certain we were kept informed of the different processes and trades that would be working on our basement.

He was able to keep the entire project on schedule and was available literally 24 hours a day for any questions we may have had. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we were hoping for. We strongly recommend Distinctive Remodeling for any remodeling project you may have. You won't be disappointed.

I used Distinctive Remodeling to build my dream outdoor kitchen. Eddie was incredibly responsive to all my questions and did a terrific job on the design and install. I was not in the home yet and even at a distance, he completed the entire project flawlessly.

Distinctive Remodeling was awesome! We did a kitchen addition and covered deck. They have certified kitchen designers who a assisted with our project from the beginning to the end! This included the plan/design and selection of cabinets, countertop, lighting, flooring, decking, appliances, and MORE! Project manager(s) were on site every day to oversee construction and other details and were readily available to answer questions. Our project took longer that expected, due to COVID-19 delays, but we are so pleased with our beautiful new kitchen and deck!

We loved all the people we worked with. Michelle was very helpful in making all my choices. She lead me to the backsplash I choose and I love it. I would never have imagined it would look like this if she had not shown me pictures of it. She always gave me all the time I needed and was there to answer any questions I had. Keith and Nick were both very professional and fun.

They always kept me informed as to what was going on and who would be here. They always asked if I had any concerns or questions. We were almost sad to see the job completed because we wouldn't be seeing them anymore. We would definitely ask for them on the next job we do All of the trades were very good. We really appreciate all the time and work Winston put into installing our cabinets. They are amazing! We will definitely use you again for any remodeling jobs we have!

I used Distinctive Remodeling for two complete bathroom remodels, wet bar in bonus room complete update and entire second floor was painted. I cannot say enough about the how easy and enjoyable the whole process was with Michelle and Mike as my main designer/project manager. The workmanship has been outstanding and I was thrilled at the warranty on their work.

Every question was answered very quickly, the timeline was on schedule, the crews were respectful, easy to work with and did great work. Michelle had so many great ideas and Mike made them happen! I look forward and am excited to be working with Distinctive Remodeling again in the near future!

Distinctive remodeling originally remodeled three of our bathrooms a few years ago. They did such a great job that we came back to them for an extensive kitchen, wine cellar and office remodeling project which required structural modifications. They are easy to work with, always are looking to please you, and come back immediately if any issues arise. Their workmanship was so good that the projects won two STAR design awards. Hands down, we are 110% satisfied.

We love the porch. The quality is excellent. The painters were great. as were the framers. We are very pleased.

We began with the only the idea that we need to update our kitchen. From there, Distinctive Remodeling provided ideas and options beyond our expectations. We love our new kitchen and would highly recommend them to our friends.

Eddie and his team were a pleasure to work with, especially for a first-time renovation experience. Eddie did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. He did exactly what I wanted, and the craftsmanship is superb. The subs were great, and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. They even put up with my four dogs! When the project was done, Eddie and his wife Betsy cooked a delicious meal for 10 of our friends. I highly recommend Distinctive Remodeling.
