Castle Building & Remodeling

The major remodel of two floors and addition of a bathroom look great. As the project came to a close however, the craftsmanship fell and the expenses increased. They overlooked small things such as caulking the kitchen sink and bathroom tub. During the first heavy rain after the project was completed, the roof leaked. When I complained they said we should hire them to replace the roof.

The roof was brand new. The cost of the project was already much more than originally planned. When I refused, they repaired the roof with cheap silicone caulk which did the trick until the warranty ran out. I wouldn't recommend them.

We worked with Aaron and his team to re-model our Family Room. We were more than happy with the entire process and outcome. We'd recommend Castle to our friends and family!

A huge thank you to you and your employees for the wonderful remodel project that we recently completed. Having heard the harrowing stories of other people that have done remodels, we have been so pleased to be able to tell friends how smoothly our project with Castle went.

Castle was wonderful to work with. The designer (Ashley H) worked well with us to design a project that was satisfying and within our budget. Both the construction manager (Steve) and Ashley were very responsive, communicative, warm and friendly, and worked with us closely throughout the design and build process. We received regular updates about building schedules, advice on how to prepare for different phases of building and were helpful with advice on changes/choices we had to make re: plumbing, wall configurations, etc. Overall, we had a very satisfying experience and the finished work is high quality.

They were on-time (almost always) and stayed on budget. Highly recommend. Description of work: Half bath and coat closet installation on first floor. Installation of storage cabinets, tech tube on first floor and upstairs bathroom. Replacement of kitchen ceiling. Remodeling/fixing second floor bathroom, which included tub replacement, toilet replacement, and re-tiling. Re-finishing all wood floors on the first floor, and refinishing wood stairway between first and second floor.

Painting walls and ceilings of kitchen, living room, bathroom, 2nd bathroom, new closet, bathroom on the 2nd floor, staircase. Replacing bathroom exhaust fans. Replacing front storm door. Tiling back entryway. Replacing/installing new light/fan fixtures in the living room, new bathroom, new hallway. Installing new ductless mini-split system on first floor, second floor and third floor. Fixing baseboard issues in bedroom closet. Fixing various indoor doors.

I wanted to send you a thank you for the bathroom remodel in my house this fall. I absolutely love the bathroom transformation. I greatly appreciate your suggestion last spring that I take a look at the Sterling shower ensemble as a possible replacement for the old existing bathtub since I wanted a shower only.

As things wind down (we hope) on our bathroom remodel, I want to be sure to send an email I meant to send toward the beginning of the project. If you remember, when negotiating the bid price, I (Tom) wondered why we needed to pay for a designer on what seemed such a straight forward project. OK, I'm eating my words. Ashley was a pleasure to work with.

Everyone we worked with was very courteous, communicative, and went out of their way to minimize the impact of renovating the only bathroom in a small house. We especially appreciated our project manager, Scott, who took great care of us. Also, I'd like to compliment the guy who did the tile (not sure of his name) on his excellent, detailed work!

From meeting with our designer to the final walk through, Castle Building and Remodeling surpassed our expectations. Every employee showed complete professionalism when in our home and quality craftsmanship. Our kitchen remodel turned out to be the beautiful room we dreamed of thanks to the design work of Courtney, the woodwork of Steve and the project management of Dave.
