Tim was amazing to work with. He was very responsive throughout the course of our 6 month project. He and his team were meticulous with making sure everything was installed and working correctly. He took the time to explain the details and inner workings of the system to make sure I understood everything well. If I were installing another solar system, I would definitely hire Tim and his team again!

Tim and his guys were on time all the time. Cleaned up after the job. Price competitive. Helped me install and understand the software. Tim checked on the job and made sure the permit was in place and handled the mechanics of dealing with PG&E. You will get a good job completed on time, completely done correctly and at a fair price. ***** By the way, the solar was installed on a steel roof which takes a fair amount of care and skill to do the job right without damaging the roof (same for tile roofs).

Written February 26, 2022 --- Long over due review. My installation was in October 2021. Tim was very, very patient with all of my questions. I did a lot of research prior to contacting my roofer who installed my metal roof; and had 5 other companies provide me with bids including installation plans. All other solar panel system installers wanted to remove part of my metal roof, install a flat roof of some kind, and then mount the solar panels. Tim explained how he could install special brackets to maintain my metal roof integrity (i.e. no mounting directly on the metal roof and allowing potential leaking) that would allow mounting solar panels. Ultimately, I was able to save on NOT having to install a partial new roof.

I opted for a energy management add-on. Glad I did. It helps me see what I am producing and what I am importing from PGE. Now that we are approaching spring, I am often seeing more EXPORT of energy to PGE. Even though I have an electric vehicle, I often seeing more EXPORTS than IMPORTS. Our timing estimates of "break even" (PGE savings versus total cost of system) will likely come true. Tim's crew were top notch professional who all enjoyed doing a great job.

They even let them bug me with many questions during their install! Overall, I would heartily recommend that anyone interested in a solar energy system (with or without storage) to contact Tim to request a meeting & quote.

I hardly write reviews but Tim and his team really deserve the 5 stars. As a relatively new homeowner, I have had my share of dealing with greedy and unethical contractors. I had collected quotes from 4 solar installers and Tim gave me the best price for LG425QAK panel + Enphase inverters. Of them, Tim was the only person to come to my home and discuss the proposal and look at the electrical setup.

Whole process was quick and on schedule. I didn't have to nag or follow up. Tim stuck to his commitments and whole solar installation was finished in under 30 days. His crew was super professional and cleaned up after their work. Tim took care of the city inspection/permit and city inspector was very happy with the work. No surprises or rework. I will definitely recommend Tim to my friends and family.

Recently we had solar installed by OSullivan Green Solar of Campbell. We've looked at solar for many years but never pushed the start button until now; the panels are much more sun-efficient and cost-effective than ever before. Even for our (relatively low) PG&E bill the payback was only five years. Especially today, it's hard to find an investment with that kind of return.

The install process was painless. The company's electrical subcontractor, JD Energy Solutions, was top-notch in every way. Knew the system inside out. Our system was installed in two days, came up as advertised and has been producing every day! For you engineer types, there is even a free app for your phone which reports on solar production. Tim and his team have been extremely professional and helpful during the entire process starting with giving a competitive quote to making sure everything is installed and working as expected. Tim and his team (Erik and Jesus) did an excellent job throughout the entire process of installing an 8.1kW solar panel system for my home (from sales, installation, and inspection). 1. Despite their booked calendar, they were still able to accommodate to my schedule and they finished the whole installation job in the exact timeline from our discussions. 2. Tim quoted me the best price (total price in $/Watt for the whole installation parts and labor) and using the best parts (LG R Prime 355 watt panels and Enphase IQ-7+ microinverters) compared to their competitors (most quotes I received using LG Neon 2 335 watt panels and Enphase IQ-6 microinverters); the best price quote I received elsewhere gave me the same $/Watt but using components that are not as good. 3. Tim also answers questions text/e-mail typically within 1 business day (even on weekends). 4. Knowing that I have little ones and with different napping schedules, Erik and Jesus updated me during the installation process when it would be noisy and they minimized unnecessary noise.

As an electrical engineer myself, I was able to watch their work and they performed professionally, especially since I have metal shingle roof (can be damaged/dented easily if not walked on carefully). 5. The city inspector commented that they did everything correctly and did a good job. I highly recommend OSullivan Green Solar.

We finally bit the bullet and installed solar panels at our home in San Jose. After gathering and preparing quotes from four different vendors, we decided to go with O'Sullivan (referred to us by a friend who had used them recently). Though they were not the cheapest option, Tim took the time to meet with us and thoroughly answer all of our questions and really make us feel comfortable with the process. I've learned over the years that a contractor you have confidence in and who communicates well with you is worth paying for.

A note when comparing quotes on purchasing solar panels though: it is not apples to apples and you need to research the type of panel each is proposing. A $20k proposal using lower quality panels is not necessarily better than a $22k proposal using high quality panels. The install went much faster than I anticipated, and even though PG&E rescheduled our connection date at the last minute, Tim let us know immediately and worked to get it rescheduled ASAP.

When we got our new date, everything got connected quickly and smoothly, and Tim came over one more time (accommodating our work schedules, which was awesome) to make sure we could ask any final questions and remind us what to expect on our PG&E bills in the coming months. All this while the two small children in our house were screaming and competing for attention, so thanks and apologies to him. Purchasing and installing solar panels is a huge expense, so you want to use a company you can trust. Our experience with O'Sullivan was great, and we would definitely recommend them to any of our friends and family in the area looking to make the solar leap as well.

The first reason I needed to get solar was because my monthly electric bill was getting out of control. The second reason was the intentional power outages that PG&E was doing to prevent wildfires. My coworker just got solar and he was happy with his system so he recommended OSullivan Green Solar. Tim and his team were a pleasure to work with. I was very happy with the installation of the solar inverter and solar battery in the garage. They did such a neat job and the placement of the equipment was such that I did not have to sacrifice any usable garage space. The system is providing just the right amount of power so that my estimated electric charges is under $20 per month. With the user friendly monitoring app, I can check when I am using a lot of power and keep tabs on my electricity use.

Finding a solar contractor has been such a headache. I was pretty much set to go with a competing company that sells through Costco, when I realized their markup was astronomical. Besides, they would not install on the metal tile roof I wanted to install (they only support composite) and had massive layoffs during COVID so I was being passed around from rep to rep.

His entire system design is based not on the sexiest and newest technology and all the bells and whistles, but on maximizing your ROI. That is so refreshing. Tim described the entire process, the reasoning behind the type of equipment he recommended for my site, and came up with a great system that was about the same capacity as what the other vendor was offering -- but for considerably less money. Installation took place exactly on schedule, Tim took care of all the permitting and inspections, and they even finished installing a little early.

It is a challenge to navigate the crowded solar provider/installer market. We had already talked to one company, but it became clear that we would move forward with OSullivan Solar after sitting down with Tim. He makes the process very transparent and manages all of the interaction with the city as well as the power provider. I can't imagine having a better experience than I have with this installation. Tim's team just wrapped up their work this week on the solar install -- I'm completely impressed with their professionalism, responsiveness and care throughout the entire process and fully recommend them to anyone looking to get solar installed prior to the decrease in federal tax benefit next year. When I contacted Tim, it was through a roofer's referral.

I had already installed solar with a different company at a previous residence -- and they had done a good job so I thought it would be tough to beat the bid I had with them. Tim came out on 5/9, and provided me with a proposal and came in at a lower cost ~10%. He answered all of my questions, and we agreed on terms and a TBD install date based on my roofing install date.

The roofing install date changed a couple of times, and Tim was able to accommodate this within his scheduling. They were out about a week after the roof install was complete, and the install was done in a day on a new stone coated steel roof. Tim's team was professional and clean -- they got their work done quickly and my 5kW system was installed in a day.

When I came home, the driveway was completely clean and there was no evidence that they were there, except for the new solar monitoring equipment and panels up on the roof. Fast forward to today and the city inspector has signed off. Tim himself came out to the property to make sure the inspection went well, and he even waited for me to arrive home so that he could get the paperwork into PG&E that same day.

We are awaiting final PG&E connection, but Tim has been super responsive to answer any questions, plus I found him to be a nice person to deal with throughout the process. Fully recommend if you need solar to give Tim a call. Thanks so much, Tim!

We had such a great experience working with Tim last year! We met with several different solar companies and felt the most comfortable with Tim. He was very patient about explaining all details and answered my husbands many technical questions. The company worked closely with our roofers (we replaced our roof at the same time) to coordinate everything seamlessly, took care of all the permits and worked with PGE to get everything connected and set up. We are now reaping the benefits of solar. AC has been running non stop and our electricity bill is only $10 for the standard PGE fee!

O'Sullivan solar is nothing short of AMAZING! We had solar installed and what would take most companies 3-5 days to complete it took them 1 day! They were clean professional courteous polite and extremely personable! From the electrician to installers to the owner himself each one showed care for my property as if it was their own! I had an issue with the app after the installation and the owner Tim contacted me, found out what time I was available, and made sure to show up when I was.

He came and spent an hour on the phone with Enlighten to fix my issue when really I was responsible for doing that! I only have 1 complaint and that's that I did not PURCHASE solar earlier!

We have wanted to go solar since moving into our new home, but never pulled the trigger due to cost and perceived complexity. Tim was incredibly transparent, open and honest during the entire process. He took time to meet at our home, answer our questions, and go through the pros and cons of each decision we needed to make. Just finished having solar installed by Tim and his crew. It was a great experience. The installation was amazingly quick. It only took them 2 days to install the entire setup, 19 panel, 6.37KwH system. It was impressive. The team was not only fast but extremely professional. When the crew arrived the lead installer spent the time to go over everything they would be doing.

He double checked with me the layout of the panels to make sure he knew how they would be placed on my roof. He went over how and where the conduit runs would be. Now not everything went perfectly smoothly. The conduit was installed and placed over the cable box panel. But a simple text to Tim and it was correctly very quickly. I have never had a home improvement job go perfectly so this wasn't a surprise.

What was surprising was how easily it was corrected. Never was there a "it's not my fault" or an excuse about what went wrong. It was always a very professional, "ok, we'll get that fixed right away"' and it always was. I highly recommend that if you're looking into a solar installation you give Tim a call. I've already recommended him to co-workers and family. If I ever got another house in the area I'd definitely call O'Sullivan Solar to do another install!

Our experience with O'Sullivan Green Solar could not have been any better! Working with Tim through the initial consultation, set up, installation, permitting, and even electrical upgrades was a pleasure. O'Sullivan Green Solar was great from start to finish. Once we made the decision to proceed, they took care of everything, including City permitting and scheduling the inspection. They took care of the rebate paperwork too. The work was done well and quickly. They also monitored the system following start-up to make sure it was functioning properly. It's great to support a local business, especially when they do a great job.

We have been looking for the right deal and equipment that met all our requirements. We wanted quality with a cost that was under our current average electric bill. We want to own it and pay it off in 10 years or less. Tim was about the 8th company we spoke to. The cost was less, it was simple. No additional maintenance contracts or extra equipment we didn't need.
