Singing Gardens

My wife and I had our front and back yard landscaped about three years ago, but we were not happy with how it turned out. Our last landscaper was very difficult to work with so we sought recommendations from friends and were led to Roxy. She did a wonderful job of coming up with ideas to rework the yard in better line with our vision while working to leverage much of what was in place.

She also did a wonderful job of balancing the two differing styles of my wife and I in the process. The outcome was a yard that we are very happy with and have received lots of complements on from our friends and neighbors. She is creative, has a good artistic eye, but is also pragmatic. She is responsive when we had questions on the plans, and helped us find a good landscaper to implement the design vision. And when the job was done there were no billing surprises. Overall it was an excellent experience and we would strongly recommend her.

Roxy is a thoughtful, practical, and artistic designer who will help you create a wonderful, cohesive design for your yard. She is responsive to client input, and she works to stay current with new materials, plants, and installation methods. I like that her pricing is very transparent, and she is patient with clients (like us!) who are a bit slow to visualize various design elements.

We have hired her to do rough designs for our yard, and then chose to hire her to move forward with a final plan, which we just reviewed. We can't wait to get bids from contractors and work with Roxy again to make sure that the end result is just what we envisioned!

Roxanne of Singing Gardens is an artist. I had been searching for a while to find a landscape designer, Singing Gardens was referred to me by a friend. Boy did I luck out. Roxanne is a true professional, dedicated to her work. From start to finish it was an exceptional experience. Roxanne was always on time for every appointment, available by phone when I had questions.

She went with me to pick out the right boulders for our project. She was on site for all the boulder and plant placements. Roxanne put me in touch with a great landscape professional that did the demo and put in the new design. Roxanne eye for detail is exceptional, providing great insight during the entire project. I appreciated Roxanne's flexibility when there were design changes.

I hired Roxy and her firm to provide design assistance with both a backyard and front yard, all to be finished before my daughter's wedding, just a few weeks away.

I was completely overwhelmed with planning my outdoor wedding, my main stress was our back yard where the ceremony would take place, it was so plain!

My husband and I contracted with Roxy to design a complete re-landscaping of our backyard. She worked with us until we were satisfied. Given the scope of our project, we realized at this point that, even with detailed plans, including extensive notes for the landscaper, it was unlikely to be justly implemented without Roxy's further participation.

Roxy recently came up with a design for our front yard. She is amazing! My husband and I were really impressed at how she was able to make the most of our small front yard. She listened to all of our concerns and knew instantly what our personalities were like. She knew I liked a more modern look and that I would not want to have a design that would require a lot of maintenance.

We are SO grateful for all your help in creating such a beautiful peaceful environment! Now the yard is so beautiful, we are very proud of the outcome. It is now as it should be a peaceful, serene happy place. The Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar is such a gorgeous tree and we are so glad you gave us the option of a more mature plant - it is perfect.
