Le Perv Landscape

I have work with Le Perv since 2020. I do not recommend them unless you want price increases and extra charges w/o your permission. I have 2 rental properties in which they service. I am not entirely sure, they even show up at our rental properties. When questioned about it, I was told it was a scheduling error. I have a leak in our irrigation which has been ignored or they have not been on the property or they just don't care.

I am not going to doing business with them any longer. No one needs extra services for their rental properties if they want better cash flow and I was never asked if I wanted any extra services, it was just tacked on without my knowledge. Please see the attached photos and charges from their invoice. 1. To replace a Bib I was charged $110. 2. The irrigation quote for $454 to replace a rainbird timer which wasn't even the problem. If the GFI is blown, nothing you replace will work. 3. The middle valve has been leaking for quite some time and I was not even contacted about the issue.

When my father passed away this summer, I became in charge of the family home in San Diego. Problem is, I live in Canada. I needed a yard service that I could count on and did not need to be closely supervised. I had called Le Perv to do a few rounds of work while my father was still at the house, so I called to see if they could do the yard twice a month.

They took on the work and did a great job with zero supervision. I had neighbors and friends watching the house and they confirmed the work was being done and that the yard looked great. When the house went on the market, it ended up selling in two days for more that our asking price, and I have no doubt that the well- maintained yard helped a lot with the quick sale.

The staff a Le Perv was great to work with. I highly recommend their service, I could not be more satisfied with their service, prices and administration. Thank you Clarke, Stacy and the staff for helping my family in a tough situation!

After 18 months of Le Perv service, the place looks terrible; weeds, patchy lawn growth and poor trimming. We contracted for a complete update of the irrigation system. The work was done poorly, and several re-visits required, but still it is not correct. The owner claims we are difficult clients; difficult for expecting contracted work to be completed!

Le Perv Landscape did a wonderful job on transforming our front yard. Our yard was overgrown and in need of a face lift. From the design to completion, we could not be happier. We liked working with Clarke on the design and the crew did a great job of bring the design to life. Our neighbors are driving by and giving us the thumbs ups. I would highly recommend Le Perv to anyone.

Le Perv is the best landscaping company in San Diego. Whatever you want they can do it. And whatever they do they will keep it up with low cost maintenance fees that will fit your budget.

The only remotely positive thing I can say is they are cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for which is not much. They have been the landscaper for our complex for the over 5 years we've been here. They barely do anything but use the blower and don't do that very well. You have to ask them to trim and to just do the basics if you get to communicate with anyone.

They have allowed any number of hedges, bushes, etc to die or be overtaken by invasive species. These guys define just checking a box and never spend more than 30 minutes here. I would avoid them at all costs.

I contacted Le Perv Landscape so they could come out every other week to clean up my backyard. We have a lot of Bamboo and it was very hard to keep up with the maintenance myself. His guys are very quick and professional and always leave my backyard looking spotless. I highly recommend Le Perv for all your landscaping needs.

Short version: Clarke is deliberately vague and uncommunicative, doesn't fulfill his own terms of contract, and is dismissive and rude when his rushed process gives poor results. The details: He changed the start date moving it up by 2 days, after the contract was signed that included the start date. The crew (who were all very nice through the whole process) were not made aware of the design prior to showing up.

I had to walk them through my very basic understanding of what Clarke had envisioned. Clarke did not show up. The contract stipulated halfway through the project that the first payment would be requested. When I called to terminate the project prior to that happening, and asked Clarke why I was being charged nearly the full cost anyway, he said "I didn't get around to it".

When I called asking why the drains were offset at an awkward angle Clarke said "don't worry about it you won't notice". I don't see how I wouldn't notice off set grates when I'm just starting the landscaping design process. He also didn't bother to tell me the intended connection to the street pipes weren't going to work.

I had to figure that out for myself and call him on it. Which was the only reason the drains were offset, but he didn't give the crew time or guidance to evaluate that prior to trenching. After speaking with Clarke and looking at my yard, the crew could tell I wasn't happy and asked what I wanted different. I explained and they said no problem.

They realigned the drains for me, fixed the sprinkler system they had chopped through, and explained how I could fix the drainage problem of water flowing down the sidewalk onto my neighbors driveway, again caused by Clarke's poor planning and design. Which *I* have to fix now. Also the gutters were only connected to the drainage system from the back of the house in 1 place, not at all from the front.

Despite claiming how terribly expensive grading the full yard would be, (apparently so expensive he wouldn't even give me a quote) when I eliminated the grading of the side yards from the existing project it reduced the bill by less than a tenth of the cost of the drainage. I have very wide side yards, the square footage doesn't make sense as a reason.

If you're going to work with him I recommend getting an exact break down of labor, materials, and design, as well as a full step by step account of what the process will be prior to signing any contract.

Fast forward a few years and I should have left much earlier than I did. However, I continued to believe that the owner had my best interest at heart and was the same individual that I met years before. About six months into the pandemic, having rented my home out on a longer term basis, I swung by and was exceptionally disappointed to learn that yard had not been taken care of and Issues that I had called out months earlier had not been addressed.

The owner, Clarke did not seem to care or want to remedy. He had told me years earlier that he visited properties every few weeks and then I learned that he had others that did that. Except, I shared concerns and months other was finally introduced to someone. No one had been checking on my property. Broken sprinklers (done by the crew had been left I fixed for months), my fences had been cut up by weed hackers (not an issues in the year prior) and my jasmine had not been cared for in a very long time. I have since left and am still exceptionally disappointed at the drastic change in customer service.

I've been using Le Perv Landscape for several years now, the crews have been great and the customer service is excellent! Clarke is very knowledgeable and really listens to make sure you are happy with the outcome. Highly recommend them for all your landscaping needs.

Le Perv Landscape is AMAZING! They volunteered to help with my yard while my husband is deployed and they have done a spectacular job! They are professional, adhere to social distancing and proper mask use, superb at cleaning up afterwards and my yard looks amazing! I recommend them above all else! Thank you so much for your help!

Very expensive. Scheduled a time for someone to come by to quote me maintenance and a side yard sod job. It seems that they just sent someone by but No knock. No greeting. They did a drive by and then sent me an expensive quote waaaay above the everyone else. I have surveillance cameras and no one came on my property. No one looked at my side yard job.

I was sent a quote via yelp app the next day only for maintenance. Seems Le Perv was only interested in getting the maintenance setup. Over priced and impersonal. Meh. You can do better than have Le Perv do your landscaping.

From the beginning, Clarke was very responsive and helpful. He came out quickly to give us a free estimate to fix/enhance our backyard slope. He sent over the completed quote within the next day and was very reasonable on pricing. We decided to go ahead with the work and are very happy we did! His workers were so nice, on time, polite, helpful, & just seemed passionate about what they do.

They got the job done in two days. We highly recommend Le Perv Landscaping for all your yard needs! It was very easy working with them & we will use them for anything we need in the future. Thanks, Clarke.

This review is really late but I've been using Le Perv Landscape since we moved into our home back in 2016. His guys come in once a week and clean up our property. The owner Clarke has always been very fast to respond to any questions or requests we have. I would highly recommend Le Perv!

It's been about 2 months now since our last gardener worked on our property and with the unusual amounts of rain in San Diego, our formerly well cared for landscape was a jungle.the front curbside, our courtyard, the backyard, AND especially the slope. After getting a few estimates and needing someone to come out quickly and do a thorough job, Le Perv Landscape delivered fully.

Some words to describe the 3-person crew under Alberto's guidance --- who were out from 7:15am thru 2:45pm.professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. I was impressed that the crew solicited feedback to ensure that we were all on the same page about expectations and to double-check on plants that might have been mistaken for a weed. Our place looks great again!

We are so relieved and happy.just in time for the big graduation party this weekend. On top of that, Le Perv Landscape's quote came in $600 less than a competitor and is so much better than I could have hoped for. My next tasks are to arrange for regular maintenance and some special work. Thanks guys!

Clarke and his crew put in a retaining wall, irrigation system, and various plants at our condo in Mission Hills. They were prompt, timely and totally professional. I highly recommend Le Perv Landscaping.

We've been really pleased with Le Perv as well as the crews that have been preserving our landscape. Clarke is very receptive to consumer demands as well as generally gets someone bent on fix any type of issues really rapidly. When we had a consistent irrigation trouble they kept dealing with it until a solution was located. Considering that we have dogs we are really picky about the items we desire made use of on our plants as well as Le Perv has actually been very cautious to regard that as well as make use of risk-free, safe products.

Reading the previous reviews Randall's comments are pretty spot on. My husband hired this company and they destroyed a fan palm we have in yard by trimming it to the extreme and their reasoning was "company policy." Just also spent thousands of dollars resurfacing pool and decking and these guys are dropping palm fragments in the pool without cleaning up, etc.

The owner responds with find someone else. I've already had enough and plan on it. Way over priced by the way for he size of our yard. Don't bother hiring. Also, sent emails previously asking questions and Clark never responded to those. We don't have random metal pieces and coat hangers, whatever it actually was lying around in our yard. We have two toddlers. We notice things. Keep making excuses.

Their service is outstanding. Attention to detail, meticulous, efficient, well mannered and extremely good at what they do. Responsive and accommodating. Very happy with their work and highly recommend their services. You and your plants will be better for it! Thank you, Le Perv!

I contacted this company because I liked the photos and they seemed to have good reviews. The owner came out to our property. Took notes and measurements and said he'd get back to us by Sunday at the latest with a quote. After not hearing back from him, my husband contacted him and he said he lost all the notes and measurements and would have to come back to remeasure etc. That was about 3-4 weeks ago and we never saw or heard back from him. I guess he didn't want the job? A professional would have simply communicated that with us?

Clarke and his team are awesome! These guys not only know what they're doing, but they don't try to upsell you on anything and try to actually save you money. Who does that? I had them install brand new landscape for my new construction home and they blew it out of the water. Everyone in my neighborhood uses this yard as inspiration and multiple neighbors have hired him to do their yards. You can't go wrong with Le Perv Landscape.

We recently took over a family member's property that had been neglected. Le Perv sent 3 guys to clean up the property and even got dead brush off our hillside in one day. We thought it would take 2-3 days. Professional, nice.we highly recommend Le Perv!

Unfortunately I have to write this review to warn others. I have used this service for about a year. Most of it was good but then now the crew decided ON THEIR OWN, to clean out the pine needles in my large hibiscus bush which was green and flowering. They left a giant hole with branches broken! The owner kept siding with the crew that the work was needed to be done. WHAT HAPPENED TO ME, THE PAYING CUSTOMER GIVING PERMISSION FIRST?

If I had been notified first, I would have said no. I was willing to give them another chance if I was compensated for the damage but I was told they had to do the work. Please be aware that the crew may make decisions for you and do work that you have no control of.

Great experience and outcome with removing an failing retaining wall and a ton of foliage and replacing the wall. Clarke was very quick to respond to our initial inquiry and kept us informed throughout the process. His estimate was fair, and his workers were prompt and worked quickly. Would absolutely recommend and use again.

We were referred to Le Perv through the Good Life Property Management company. The team did work for us running new drains in our backyard as well as performing stump removal in multiple areas. Overall the team did a good job. They were prompt in their communication, arrived on time, and were all very professional. We look forward to seeing how well our new backyard drains when we get the next big rain. Already it seems to be working better with the little bit of rain we've had since they installed the new drains.

We contacted several companies for bids for our sprinkler installation. LePerv Landscaping was heads and above the other companies and was the obvious choice. The completed the project in a timely fashion with the utmost professionalism.

We have tried several "neighborhood gardening services" and ended up costing us an arm and a leg fixing what they were not truly equipped to do. Found Le Perv Landscape and have been thrilled with their level of expertise and skills. They are a bit more on the monthly side per maintenance, but, in the end, we are saving money as, they do things correctly the first time around! I would highly recommend them!

Le Perv Landscape is professional, responsive, and skilled. We had some terrible horsetail surrounding our pool in the backyard which was causing more harm than good. Le Perv Landscape came in and removed as much of the plant and it's roots they could, about 4 of dirt deep and hauled away everything for a wonderful price. We enjoyed their work so much, we contacted Clarke (fantastic businessman) and he and his company will be revamping our front yard in a few weeks! We can't wait to see the final product. This company cares! I have had a lot of trouble finding responsible landscapers. Le Perv has crews who care, and my yard looks the best it has ever looked! They actually inspect the work to make sure it meets the owner's expectations. I'm thrilled with the quality of work Le Perv does!

We switched our landscape maintenance of our condo to Le Perv last year. Before our lawn was brown and patching, since Le Perv our grass has come back and the lawn looks great. I recently hired Le Perv to replace my wood deck with pavers. The result is wonderful.

Hired Le Perv for our home and was willing to pay more for a licensed/insured company with professional staff. They were $220 a month where previously I was paying $160. The previous crew did a better job by far. Le Perv took 3 weeks to trim a hedge in stages, leaving it unfinished for those 3 weeks. It looked stupid. Also they charged me $15 three consecutive weeks in a row for applying round up to weeds that were too close to my Morning Glory plants.

The round up almost killed the good plants and they just left the dead weeds there for several more weeks until I asked them to remove the dead weeds. $45 extra for weed control? Where it shouldn't have been sprayed in the first place? And they didn't remove the dead weeds? The owner takes days to return calls or emails and when he does, he doesn't address the request or issue thoroughly. Leaves questions unanswered and issues unresolved and his crew doesn't follow up.

The crew cut a flax plant by hacking it half way down the shoots. No landscaper worth anything would do that. They removed one plant upon my request and they didn't get down to the roots. Also they left one planter for 2 months without removing clovers that are starting to take over. I asked them to remove them several times. It would take about 5-10 min at the most to do. I would not recommend them at all!

Absolutely the worst lawn service to be had anywhere in San Diego. I contracted this place to come to my home once a week and to simply mow the lawn. A small front lawn, a small back lawn. No weeding, fertilizing, hedge trimming. Nothing but mowing the lawns. It never happened properly. Sometimes, the lawn crew would arrive, buzz the front lawn down to the dirt, then leave. RARELY did they open the gate to the back lawn (they were supposed to have a key to the lock).) In six weeks, the back lawn looked like a rainforest.

The Le Perv crew simply stopped mowing the rear lawn, and yet I was charged for both lawns mowed, each and every month. When I called the office and spoke to the manager, I was told that his crew has been mowing my two lawns religiously. I told him that I was speaking to him from the back of the house, and that the weeds were waist-high. His response? "You must be mistaken." He refused to drive over to see for himself.

He refused to adjust the invoice for the last two months of his lazy crew's non-appearance, and he eventually suggested that I "buy a lawnmower and do it yourself, if you're so picky about how it's supposed to be done." He refused to return the key to the back of my property. He refused to even mail it to me, so I had to drive all the way to the interstate 5 and La Jolla Colony, just to pick up my key.

The guy was so nasty that he acted as if he was going to hand me my key but then DROPPED IT AT MY FEET and walked away. If you dislike being overcharged and having your sanity questioned by someone who is SUPPOSED to be providing a service to you, then avoid this company like the plague.
