Great garden center and great place to take the kids and just chill. They have some goats, chickens, ducks, fish, and turtles to look at and a lake and small play set. There is zero pressure to walk around and shop. They even have a little free library for books!

I enjoy the goats and they have a great house plant section, though the prices have increased a lot over the last year relative to other garden centers. Prices can be surprisingly high on some plants and ok on others so you have to watch. For instance this Fall, tiny miniature gourd pumpkins were $5, when a fair price is probably around $2. As a result I will probably not return because I prefer some other options.

I was also a previously happy landscaping maintenance customer but quality of service had unfortunately declined a lot in the past year and there is poor follow ups on problems or missed service. I would not consider them for routine maintain like mowing though one of the employees that did specific jobs was great. There were just too many problems that required sending an email and trying to get them made aware of problems or otherwise addressed, and it doesn't seem like the team would come out and check behind them to make sure jobs were being done.

The crew seemed to want to get done early and would then be on their cellphones. One time they skipped the front yard because they said they wanted the rut they made in a ditch to heal, but used that as reason to not push mow the entire front yard. Unfortunately, the folks managing them did not see this as a problem and do not really seem to be training their staff to do a good job.

While polite, the final email talked a bit about "trust" in that they know what they are doing, kind of implying not trusting them was a problem, which rubbed me the wrong way, especially given the minimal oversight of the jobs done.

This was our first time to visit. What a really nice space and plant selection. It is a great way to have an enjoyable few hours doing something different (from normal).

This is such a stunning place. The aesthetic is everything. You instantly feel at peace entering the grounds. I'm mainly a houseplant kind of gal and I fell in love when I entered their indoor houseplant area. I saw so many unique plants that I rarely ever see in person, just online. I would highly recommend. The staff was lovely and there are ducks, chickens, and goats, out front. I visited on my birthday and honestly it was the highlight of my day. I can't wait to go back.

This was the cutest garden place ever! They have a place to get a beer or glass of wine while your walking around looking at plants. We were in search of a big house plant for our living room. They have an entire indoor area for house plants. They had a variety of sizes for each plant we looked at. Debbie helped us and was so nice, patient and knowledgeable.

I have quite a few plants at home and had questions about them and she answered all of them. They gave us a brochure to help answer questions and problem solve if something isn't going right. They also said we can call and they can look up the plants we've gotten from them to assist us in making sure the plants are flourishing. I highly recommend this place if you are someone who really wants to help your plants thrive. Thank you so much!

From landscape plan conception, to installation, to finished product, AmberLeigh, Jack, Billy, Viridian and the entire team at For Garden's Sake were fantastic. Knowledgeable, hard-working and responsive. I won't hesitate to seek their advice and work with them again in the future.

This place. ROCKS. It's a gardening center as well as a social gathering place. In terms of gardening center, they have a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants. My favorite part is that they mark which plants are pet friendly. very important to me with a dog who loves eating plants! Their staff members are very knowledgeable and welcoming.

They also have a beverage bar and have events there too! I'm addition to that, they have a petting zoo area with a pond. This place is my happy place, and I highly recommend.

Our yard is a small yard and the previous landscaping was not exactly what we wanted. We contacted "For Garden's Sake" and right from the start to the end of our project, they were welcoming, easy and honest to work with. And we are very pleased with our landscaping. It looks fantastic and have zero complaints. Thank you and job well done "For Garden's Sake".

The Robin's Nest is a beautiful, little event space that was perfect size for my niece's bridal shower. It was reasonably priced as well. I would rent this space again based on location and decor. The space was wonderful and looks exactly as shown in photos. Be mindful that the few stairs shown in one picture are to offices for the business, not to the kitchen.

The prep kitchen and bathroom are at the top of a steep staircase that leads above the rental space, so be prepared if needing to use either. There is a large table up there that we used to prep our trays for the event, as well as a microwave and fridge. Only hiccup: There was no running water in kitchen during my rental. The management seemed unaware of lack of water in kitchen and promised it was temporary issue that would be rectified ASAP and allowed us to transport water from different area to accommodate our event. I would have given 5 stars if not for water issue.

Phase 3 of our landscape design was just completed by For Garden's Sake. The designs by Doug Barnes are beautiful and exactly what we had hoped. Jack Meyers, landscape operations manager, worked closely with the crew to ensure the plan was executed and even picked up a shovel to help out! Because of supply issues, there were substitutions made on the size of several plants. Doug took the time to talk us through this so we understood how this would impact the overall design. Friends bring friends over to see our gardens and yard. This is our utopia.

I purchased 2 beautiful plants (a Frosty Fern and a Norfolk Island Pine). The staff was helpful and mentioned that there's a bar and live music during the Spring/Summer months. I can't wait to go back!

It was beautiful! I visited with my family and walked around their grounds. The pond was lovely and had ducks! It also had some turtles that poked their heads through the water. There were some goats that were kinda shy till they walked up, and then they were very nice. The garden has all sorts of pretty plants, not much of a plant guy but they were in all sorts of types and lighting requirements. Very nice potting selection too, all sizes and very well decorated. I'm gonna come back for sure

The best place to buy plants locally, in my opinion. The setup is beautiful and a great place to walk around and browse. The folks who work there are incredibly helpful. They have a wonderful selection of high quality plants. I've bought plants at chain stores and they don't compare to the quality of plants at For Garden's Sake. Highly recommend.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Visit the Potting Shed for drinks while (or before, or after) you shop. House plants are available inside and they rotate new inventory constantly. Only slightly more expensive than big box stores and the plants are WAY healthier. I visit at least once a week, usually for either new pots or new plants and then I end up leaving with both. All plants pictured below are from FGS!

We recently remodeled our backyard with For Garden's Sake and we're very happy with the results! The team is awesome and very responsive and was what we were looking for. From Billy's design chops to AmberLeigh and Viridian coordinating the whole thing and Jack keeping us up-to-date on the job site, we found the whole experience to be pleasant and straightforward.

They even got us in touch with a deck builder and worked with us to adjust our overall design plan to fit our budget. As you can see, we opted out of the plants for now, but that just goes to show you how versatile they are!

Just got into houseplants this year and when I tell you this place is awesome! They have such nice staff who is always willing and available to help and answer all questions. Being a newbie in the houseplant world, this was great because I had questions. They have an indoor greenhouse for their houseplants which is so neatly arranged. Their offerings were amazing and I found many of the plants on my list that I wanted and ones that I didn't know I needed! Their plants are so healthy and all of them have been thriving. Of all the times I have visited this place, I've never left empty handed!

There is soooo much to love about this little gem. From the goats to the wide variety of plants to the sweet little Potting Shed, For Garden's Sake has everything you need for a perfect Sunday. I picked up a good sized snake plant and two other really unique looking plants, all indoor and easy to take care of. I also got two pretty pots for my new additions - they have a huge selection! I can't wait to return soon!

I've always been driving to Home Depot for my plants and flowers but after coming here one morning on a weekend, I think I found my new go to place for all things garden related! I made sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the worst of the humidity and heat. Once you pull in, you'll be directed to the gravel parking lot in the back.

When I was there in the morning, there was plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly here. One girl helped me to find some perennials for my garden. They have a huge selection of plants, definitely a lot more than your Home Depot or Lowes. Since it was my first purchase there, I even got a free bar of gardeners shea butter soap! The girl at the checkout also told me that they have drinks like Mimosas at the nearby shed after a certain time of day.

All the info is on their website. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get into gardening or just want to take relaxing stroll through some gorgeous plants and flowers.

My husband and I went to their last For Friday's Sake extended event which had live music, a food truck and drinks for the Potting Shed. As if going to a garden center wasn't fun enough, if you add entertainment and wine spritzers it's basically a DREAM COME TRUE for any plant parent. We got three new plant babies while we were there. All of the plants were in great condition and there is an impressive variety of houseplants in various sizes, all fairly priced as well. I can't wait to return soon!

They are well stocked with great looking plants even towards the end of the summer growing season. It's never too late to plant is my philosophy. Employees are a wealth of information on plants and they love talking about them.

They have a great selection of beautifully cared for trees, shrubbery, plants and vines! The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. They can answer any question and on the rare chance they can't, they. can immediately locate someone else who knows. The seating area is an inviting place to sip a beverage and chat Friday through Sunday after shopping in the sun.

My favorite is the delightful Summer Slush, a cocktail made with 2 scoops of Italian Ice with a moscato pour over. On your way out, stop to feed the goats and chickens. They'll love you!

I love the selection of plants and plant pottery. The location is what's most attractive. It's in the outskirts, has a pond, a cutesy adult drink spot, alcoholic and nonalcoholic slushees, food truck, chickens, goats, ducks, and I think roosters. It's not only a garden shop, it's a Sunday afternoon hangout spot! The staff so far are super friendly and helpful.

FGS is a garden oasis with all kinds of plants and shrubbery, plenty of knowledgeable staff on site to help and food trucks and areas for the entire family that make this more of an experience vs a plant shop. Parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon and we got a beautiful hibiscus plant and azaleas. I heard about this location from a local blogger and started following them on Instagram.

If you sign up for the newsletter you also get lots of helpful info. The prices are a little on the higher side yet you are supporting local. It was a beautiful day and venue to walk around and check out all the floral varieties.

I loved the atmosphere and the plant selection at For Gardens Sake. This is a perfect place for a day date or friends day because the atmosphere is such a vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed being asked if I needed help by everyone who saw us, the staff created such a welcoming environment. I will be back for sure!

They've doubled their houseplant selection which is really cool. They had some rarer plants and now that renovations are complete there's WAY more space and plants which is cool. Also the outdoor plants and trees etc have a wide variety, theres QR codes which offer info on different plants and the staff are super helpful and excellent (although sometimes they ask me if I need help when I'm just trying to browse).

Would be nice if there were even more native plants but there's a good selection and they seem to be adding more. 10/10 will be back again to take classes (theyre $10 I think)

I had the BEST day at For Garden's Sake yesterday with my husband and our 5yo son. This was our first time visiting and it was amazing! We started off at the Food Truck around 10:30 am (Roasted & Toasted - they are also amazing!), we ate by the pond, then we played on the swing set and visited the goats and chickens, then we ventured to the garden. center and my 5yo son picked out some succulents and little pots for them to go in, we paid for those items and then we went to the little shed that sells slushies and beer and wine. I had a mango slushie, my son had a keylime slushie, and my husband had a craft beer. It was an absolutely perfect day!

First time visit and I was impressed. Decent selection of houseplants at average prices and great selection of pots. I did visit in the middle of the winter, so the stock may have been low, I'm eager to go back in the spring or summer. Everything seemed to be very healthy. The goats and chickens were a pleasant surprise! So friendly

A magical wonderland for all the plant lovers out there. This place is massive! Plants everywhere, pots everywhere, everything you'd ever need! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable of the plants available. I probably spent an hour here and it was so worth it. When you think of a plant shop, this is the place you think of. Plants hanging from the ceilings, climbing up the wall, everywhere you look something new catches your eye. I will definitely be returning and I'll be bringing some plant lovers with me!

This place is awesome! We have bought plants from them in the past and their staff were always very knowledgeable and helpful! Most recently we have visited a few times to let our toddler play on the playground, watch the ducks, and feed the goats! It's usually pretty quiet and other families keep their distance during covid times. If you ask the staff they will give you some animal crackers to feed the goats! There's also an old cemetery on the grounds.

It was really flooded on our recent visit, so I didn't walk in, but looking forward to exploring next time. We are also looking forward to a time when we feel comfortable visiting for a class or an event!

This is a really cool place. We just moved to hwy 751 in May and wanted some plants for our new place and found we were about a mile from this nursery. It is so unique! Not only do they have plants, pots, soil, and all the necessities, but it's a whole experience - they have live animals that we saw the kids petting in the distance, a booth where you can buy drinks and iced treats on a hot day, plenty of space to walk around, and a lake where you can picnic.

Since there's a pandemic, we kept our distance (and there's plenty of space to do so) and didn't try any of those things but look forward to when we can! We ended up with some beautiful selections for our deck's planter box (picture), and I especially enjoyed looking at the wide variety of succulents!

I have passed by so many times and never knew this place existed. I saw an awesome review on Instagram and decided to check this place out. As we pulled in we noticed the goats and chickens on the left side. I had no idea how big this space is! Covid restrictions are in place, felt completely safe. They have lots and lots of flowers, herbs, shrubs and pots.

They also had a food truck out today and space to hang out and enjoy your food. They also have the potting shed where you can grab drinks to enjoy while strolling thru this wonderful garden. They have a few pumpkins but my favorite was the photo op! So cute.

This place is a plant-lovers dream come true! Like many now stuck in their house thanks to COVID, I began adopting some greenery throughout the last few months to brighten up my space. As I made the move to Chapel Hill mid-pandemic, a friend suggested I reward myself with some new lush bbs for my new place. When I pulled up here, I felt like I was in plant paradise.

The layout is amazing! If you have kids, they'll love the goats and chickens happily prancing about. I walked in and was immediately helped by the warm, friendly staff. My haul ended up being a beautiful, rare Sansevieria Black Dragon Snake plant ($45), a Calathea Ornata ($20), and a cactus that could double for Pikachu ($3). I was tempted to get some pottery, but figured I'd save it for another time New customers get $2 off their Potter's Shed, which has Italian ice. So I'll be back for that as a treat sometime soon.

Nice layout in this garden center. Ample supply of plants and most popular things that grows in your yard. Cool animal area goats, etc, for the kids to see. Not many unusual plants here, mostly more popular ones that everyone has. They have a great selection of pots also. Indoor plants inside the building, they look very healthy and vibrant.

A Nice selection and you can often find exactly what plants you are wanting. If you aren't finding the heirloom vegetables that you desire at the big box stores or if you are looking for a very healthy more developed fruit tree, definitely give it a try.

For Garden Sake cleaned out our large side bed and completely cleaned out our back natural area, trimmed bushes and laid new pinestraw down. The difference was night and day.
