Pleasant Green Grass

We've lived in our house for 9 years and I have hired other companies to reseed several times, and tried to do natural soil ammendments myselft. The results were pretty awful - we never got great luck with reseeding and weeds and bare patches were taking over my yard. We finally hired Pleasant Green Grass about 6 months ago - after their targeted ammendments, aeration and reseeidng, our yard looks amazing!

Easily better than it's ever been and now it's one of the best yards on our street. As a conservation biologist with a big pollinator garden, I was hesitant to hire a lawn care company, but I love their natural appraoch and care for our habtiat!

Scott and his team have been great to work with since day one. They are always responsive and willing to take time to answer questions about the lawn. It is obvious to tell they genuinely care about you as a client and to ensure your overall satisfaction with the final product. Highly recommended, especially if seeking a lawn without the chemicals.

Pleasant Green Grass was informative, helpful, and encouraging, giving us more detailed information about our lawn than we had ever received before. This is our second year with them, and they have performed miracles: We have the greenest, fullest, lushest lawn we have ever had since buying our house in 1978. Lovely people to work with.

I am very appreciative of Pleasant green Grass -- the customer service, the products, and the results. Admittedly I am pretty hard to please when it comes to my yard, and the first couple of years I did not see much impact. So I kept sending Scott tough questions, i.e., "Is this really going to work?" He was patient with my questions, and kept encouraging me that things would begin to change after a couple of years of their service.

Because Pleasant Green is environmentally friendly, I decided to stick with the program. And wow! I'm really glad I did! We're in the third year, and our grass looks better than it's ever looked in the 15 years we've lived here. Besides all that, we have critters in the lawn again (fireflies, grasshoppers, and little bugs), which is fun, and it means the birds are coming, too. I totally recommend Pleasant Green, and I particularly want to give a shout out to Scott: he's been super informative and helpful all along the way.

This is a great company! Our grass has never looked better. We moved into a new home and the sod was laid on compacted clay. I knew it wasn't doing good, so we ordered an estimate. Estimate outlined everything and why we needed it. We were put on the schedule immediately, got our lawn aerated and naturally fertilized, then some compost top dressing.

It took no time at all and our grass is looking amazing! Even got compliments from neighbors. Highly recommend. We really wanted a company that prioritized organic and got a great result. I'm so impressed, I reviewed without being asked. Thank you, Pleasant Green Grass!

Fifteen years ago, our property qualified as a National Backyard Wildlife Habitat, meaning that the plants we chose to let grow there, and the provision of cover and water, make it hospitable to wildlife. We chose Pleasant Green Grass to help keep it that way: safe, natural and welcoming. A great, great company with wonderful employees!

Update 5/22/17: My original review is below. Now, a year later, I am even more satisfied! Our lawn looks great! They worked with me over the past year to learn more about taking care of the lawn, feeding the lawn (organic compost) and basic maintenance skills, such as how short to cut the grass. Our lawn is plush and getting better by the day. Pleasant Green is the real deal.

They came out and did an initial review of my lawns (front and back) and took time to answer all my basic questions (I'm a city boy and have never had a lawn before!) They gave me clear and detailed estimates so that I could choose exactly what was right for me.

We agreed on a plan and they set realistic expectations. They send informative emails before and after treatments and they stick to their schedules. Our lawn already looks much better and I am very pleased. I have 2 dogs, a baby and organic garden so their organic processes are essential to me.and the results are excellent.

Scott and his team did an amazing job this past fall (Oct 2016) of expanding the back yard (and installing new lawn) of our newly constructed home. The job entailed a lot of de-stumping, tilling and compost amendment to prep the area before seeding. They were even able to come out several weeks before it was scheduled, which was great. The price was fair, they did a great job and his team was very friendly.

I tend to be a DIYer (for the most part) when it comes to lawn maintenance, and Scott is also very knowledgeable and generous about offering his advice so that I can make the right decisions. When I need help in the future, I'll certainly call on Scott and his team again.and will continue to recommend them to others!

Pleasant Green Grass has great customer service and good results for our lawn. Scott and his team have always responded right away to any concerns or question we have had. When we moved into our new house, the previous owners didn't do organic lawn care but the lawn was beautiful. We were uncertain if we would be able to maintain that throughout the transition to organic, as we knew that it was a process of strengthening the lawn overall but would take a few seasons for this to happen. Scott has managed to not only keep our lawn looking nice, but is fixing areas that are spotty, working with us to deal with weed growth throughout, and making our lawn healthier than when we moved in. Several neighbors have commented on how nice it looks and we are happy to have Pleasant Green Grass caring for our lawn.

Pleasant Green Grass have been taking care of our yard for several years now. They are 100% reliable and work quickly and discreetly, taking pride in their work. All staff are very knowledgeable and Judy in the office is quick to respond to emails, as is Scott, the owner. The crew that mows our yard comprises a terrific bunch of guys. Our yard is a challenge as it is in the middle of the forest but I really feel that Pleasant Green have got it looking the best it can be with organic treatments. We like that we are doing our bit to help the bees! We have used several lawn companies over the years, Pleasant Green beats them all.

This past spring we switched to organic lawn care. Our lawn was a mess of weeds, literally probably 90% weeds. We have been working with Pleasant Green Grass to improve the soil, remove the weeds, and get grass to grow, without herbicides.
