If I could give zero or negative stars I would. This company is the absolute worst on the planet. I ordered a security gate in the beginning of March. I put a 30% deposit down on it. Was told it would take 3-4 weeks. Because I did a complete remodel, I actually lost track of time and called last week finally realizing that I don't have a security door. Called last week and was told someone would call me back. Crickets.
Week later I called again, and they tried that call back crap again, and I relented. I stayed on hold forever to speak to someone about my door. Someone finally picks up and says they have no record of my order or deposit. So I had to hunt down the receipt. When I finally produced it, I was told, oh yeah, there it is, well, we haven't started on your door lol. Seriously, if you do business with this company, you get what you deserve, because they're crap

I found Barr Commercial Door thru Yelp. Our business front door was having issue so I called to repair 1 door. Technician arrived and I asked for a quote to repair 3 commercial doors. He said he need to call the company. 30 minutes and few phone calls later he said cost to repair 3 doors would cost me $900. So I told him I only want him to repair 1 door.
I signed the work order then he left. He said I will be billed from the company later. He quoted me $900 to repair three doors, he repaired one door, so obviously I assumed I would be billed some where around $300. Since he left, our company alarm stopped working. Apparently, door he installed was done incorrectly so I called Barr Commercial Door few days later and requested to service the door to correct the door installation.
They sent different technician to correct the door which they installed wrong the originally. At that time, they provided service bill of $388. Then sometime later, I received invoice of $580. in the mail as a surprise. Apparently, they were charging me $580 for the original 1 door repair and they were charging me $380 for second time visit. I have disputed that I should not be charged for second time visit but they said first work is not within the warranty.
I am very upset at their response because the reason why I called for second service is because technician did not installed the door incorrectly the first time! Additionally, they should have provided cost invoice at time of service so that I would have option to approve or disapprove the job. If I had known, they were originally charging close to a thousand dollars to repair 1 front commercial door, I would not have consider using Barr Commercial Door Company. Barr Door Company can charge $1000 to repair 1 commercial door. However, they should have provided estimated quote PRiOR to do the job.
I asked technician how much it was for the repair and technician keep on saying, "I will be billed later". The only reason why I approved the first job is because he quoted me $900 to repair 3 doors with exact same issue. Which, later I was billed $580 to repair 1 door, which I would NOT have approved if I had known if they were transparent with the cost on their first visit.
I made multiple calls and tried to explain why it's was unfair for those invoice to be under my responsibility. The manager eventually thrown off discount to settle the costs in very rude manner and in bad tone of voice, She was far from handling in professional manner. I suffered distress from horrific level of service received that just doesn't make any sense in every level.
Their level of service already hurt my feelings to deepest level and I have no energy or motivation to dispute any further. It was extremely distressful calling to explain numerous times and to receive calls on past dues bills which it should not be my responsibility. It was very unpleasant experience with Barr Commercial Door and I don't intend seeking further business service and/or continue business relationship with Barr Commercial Door Company in the future unfortunately.

While i was trying to help a big rig to back up into parking their driver swerve around the truck driving the opposit side of the street coming towardme RUN OVER my foot, pulled over, stopped driver got out of the car came over to me cussing and cursing, punched me a few times rub back to his truck and took off FAST. I made a police report, called the company and told them about the incident.
Then ADINA from A HR DEPT contacted me asking me what happened so I told her. Next phone call she said their DRIVER SUPPOSIDLY have witnesses LYING TO ME TWICE I have been out or work for a week no pay and my WLBOW STILL in pain.

I called Barr Commercial Door as they are local, came highly recommended by a colleague, and had good reviews. The price I received compared to the competition was more than competitive, the service was completely the opposite. There was a serious lack of communication (I had to call their office repeatedly for appointment info). The technicians that were tasked with the install were a poor representation of the company as they were very unprofessional.
They wanted me to sign off on an uncompleted job. Expected the project manager to come by and speak to me, but never saw or heard from him. After four days, I called the facility manager that I only know as Brandon. Brandon came by, offered a solution, and got it handled. I will say that the install was clean, which is why it is two stars.

I highly recommend Barr Commercial Door and Kelly and his crew in particular. I have been working with Kelly over the past few months on several Commercial Doors that I either needed repaired or replaced. He was very responsive and was able to complete the work on time and he took extra care to make sure everything was completed correctly and left the properties looking better than when he arrived.
I love the fact the he always notified me if there was something that was beyond their scope of work that possibly could use some attention as well. Kelly could not be more professional and easy to work with. Great Quality Work!

Barr has come out to do some maintenance on our interior doors and then did a complete storefront replacement. John was a pleasure to work with throughout both of these services and communication was quick and thorough. Their technicians did a great job and stuck to the projected time frame! Their follow-up after completion of the job was also excellent. I'd highly recommend working with John and Barr Commercial Door.

From the initial estimate to the completed installation, we were so happy with our choice. We had many estimates, but they were by far the best. Not just a great price, but a quality job too. Kelly was especially helpful and we appreciated his knowledge and expertise. The crew was professional and kept a very organized and clean work area. I highly recommend them.

Fair price and great work. Had a commercial door that wouldn't close properly and called another company who charged me $382 first time and didn't fix it. Then quoted me $1295 to fix it. I was appalled at the audacity of the price and called Barr Commercial Door. They said they would come out to consult for free then give me an estimate. Came out promptly, gave me an estimate of $384 to fix it.
Very happy for the fair estimate and set up appointment for them to fix it. The technician came out, fixed it in less than 30 minutes and explained why it needed fixing. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS. Fair, honest, and everything is all laid out for you. Would use again and highly recommend.

I highly recommend Barr Commercial Door. They were extremely attentive to my needs and got my problem handled same day. I have had a broken front door at my retail store front for a couple weeks and have had difficulty getting it fixed. John came out same day to take care of me and had the door fixed in less than 10 minutes. I will definitely be using Barr again for any of my future needs!

Great experience with Barr commercial door. Hired them to replace an emergency exit door for my restaurant. Came out and provided a quote within 24 hours. Put down a deposit and they scheduled us a couple weeks out. Their contractors showed up right on time (6am), replaced the door, cleaned up and had it all done before we opened for lunch. Professional and courteous. Highly recommend.

I would give them zero stars if possible. They sent a completely incapable technician who was unable to resolve my problem. He said he'd follow-up with me to research the problem but never did. The girl who handles their billing was completely unprofessional and even lied by stating that they had put a lien on my property when I refused to pay them for being inept. They handle their business poorly and have unqualified technicians, unprofessional staff and should be avoided at all costs.

I just had Barr replace a solid core door on my medical building with a glass/aluminum commercial door and they did a really quality job. My tenant, who was concerned about having work done during business hours, raved about how professional the installers were toward them and their customers, that they left everything tidy, and were very polite. I thought the prices were fair, install was great, and craftsmanship on the door was excellent. Highly recommend Barr for your next project.

Made an appointment nobody showed up the day they were supposed to, made a second appointment nobody showed up again the next time. I noticed other people on yelp complained about the same issue. When we called to inquire whats going on, we spoke with their rude assistant manager that insisted we should work with another company. Gladly, another company actually show up to the appointment we made.

Called in due to an emergency. The guy who answered, Rocky, was very helpful. He took the time to review the issue over the phone and came the next day. We had called Vortex before calling Barr and they were not able to fix our door. We were very thankful that Barr door was able to fix our door the next day. Great customer and very efficient.

I'm seeing the review posted and can't even believe it. My husband's company has been using Barr Door for YEARS- like 10 years- and never had anything but the best, fastest and most professional service. He went through 2 other companies who didn't even show up, showed up late and tried to overcharge him. These guys are great. As for the cupcake company- I get it but to ruin anyone's business (I own a business too so realize how important service reviews are) over a personal matter that has nothing to do with the business- shame on you.
