John F. Connelly Plumbing and Heating Company was founded in 1949 at 1849 N Broadway by city plumbing inspector John F. Connelly. John's wife, Kathryn Connelly, worked by his side, serving as the company's secretary. That same year, John Edwards began his career at Connelly Plumbing as a plumbing apprentice, and by 1961, had worked his way to ownership.

John F. Connelly remained involved with the company for several years following. In 1963, John F. Connelly Plumbing and Heating Company became incorporated in the state of Missouri. The same year, Kathryn Connelly retired, and in the spirit of the business's history, Rosellen Edwards, wife of owner John Edwards, joined her husband as secretary.

Our main sewer line got clogged, and we had a hard time getting a plumber to come out the same day, but Connelly Plumbing saved the day! Jeff was so kind and understanding about the situation, unlike a previous plumber at another company. He was able to unclog the pipe within a couple of minutes of starting up the power snake. I contracted them to do the seasonal furnace maintenance. I also had a small gas leak that I could smell as soon as I walked down the basement stairs. Their worker told me he couldn't smell any gas nor did he check for leaks. He put in the wrong size furnace filter. That was their fall maintenance. When I called them and complained they woman I spoke with was unconcerned. At least I know who not to call in the future. I hired another company to address the gas leak and they did.

My sink was clogged with excess food that my daughter was not completely either throwing it in the trash or using the disposal and I couldn't cook, clean the kitchen or do laundry. I informed my landlord and she said they would be calling. And I decided to call them and I spoke with Amber, who in return, said that the next day was the earliest availability.

I expressed the adversity of the situation and I received a call to let me know they were on the way. The gentleman dispatched on the call, was very polite, respectful and swiftly precise in getting my kitchen flowing again. Thank you Connelly!

This is the second time I have used this company, and i must say they are absolutely top notch. My water heater was having pilot light I had a different company come look at it and they said I would need to replace the entire water heater for $2200! Connelly sent out Blain who was very polite, knowledgeable and honest. He simply cleaned out some clogged components and got us running again for a fraction of the cost, only $130.

This is the second time this company has gone out of it's way to not over charge me. In my experience they are highly professional, fast, polite and honest. Highly recommended.

I had Connelly come help me reconnect drainage lines to the sink, dishwasher and garbage disposal when I had new counter tops installed. The service man was very professional, on time and worked quick and clean. The cost was fair and I felt very good about my sink/garbage disposal and dishwasher working correctly once the counter tops were installed. I have recommended them to a few friends and they have been pleased with their work as well. I would use them again!
