Spiders
Report
The most common spider found in our area is the house spider. It also goes by the name of American House or Domestic Spider. It is most often found indoors as the name implies. It is not poisonous but just a nuisance to humans. It is pictured here in it's normal position hanging upside down in a web.
Rodents
Report
A mouse measures between just under 5 inches to about 8 inches in length, including their tail. They weigh around 1/2 oz. to just over an ounce. They come in white, brown & grey in color. Their noses or snouts are triangular shaped and have long whiskers. Mice have rather large, floppy ears & long, thin, hairy tails.
Ants
Report
Carpenter ants are large, about a quarter of an inch to 1 inch in size. These ants are found in many parts of the world including the USA. They like dead or, damp wood to build nests. They do not eat this wood unlike termites. Sometimes carpenter ants will hollow out a section of a tree. Most likely if you have an ant infestation in your house it is the black carpenter ant.
Termites
Report
There are over 2,700 known species of termites throughout the world. In the U.S., subterranean termites, including Eastern, Western, desert and Formosans, are a concern in every state except Alaska. Subterranean termites, which build underground nests, can be extremely destructive. They can tunnel to wooden structures (like your home), which damage by using it as a food source.
Bed Bugs
Report
Bed bugs have not been demonstrated to be effective transmitters of disease. Not everyone reacts to bed bug bites and some have delayed reactions to the bite. Bite symptoms often appear in rows of several or more bites. Bed bugs bite symptoms typically appear as red, itchy welts but can vary from one individual to the next.

Certified Pest Control responded quickly to our need for help with bird mites. They showed up first thing the next day and worked quickly and efficiently to handle the problem. They removed the nest and mites, replaced the rotted exhaust duct, treated the attic area and ductwork, reinstalled the exhaust fan, installed a vent cage, and cleaned everything up! Highly recommend them and will definitely utilize their services if needed in the future.

I have used Certified Pest Control for two different issues over the past several years. I found them to be knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and so pleasant to work with on both occasions. From the techs to the office support staff, I highly recommend the company.

Critical: Professionalism Teach your employees what a yield sign means. One of your drivers ran one and almost took me out on 77 in Akron. Haven't used your company, and now never will.

They came out on schedule and heat treated our rental property for bed bugs. It did not completely get rid of them with the first treatment. As promised, they came back and retreated at no cost to us and there have been no bed bugs there for over a month. They did not bat an eye at coming back the 2nd time and I am completely satisfied. Thank you to Gene and his crew, we appreciate what u do and hope God continues to bless all of u!

We needed an issue dealt with ASAP and needed to have the work backed up if follow-up was required. Gene was responsive, thorough, and always followed through with commitments. Highly recommend.

We have been using Certified Pest Control for over 3 years. From a horrible bed bug infestation in 2016 to an ongoing mouse problem. From the owner Steve Kmetz, General Manager, Gene James to everyone of the technicians that has come to our home, these guys are friendly, courteous, consciences, thoughtful of our home and pets. Yes, they are a little bit more expensive than some, but I would rather pay a company to come in and do the job right, be thoughtful, and mindful of myself and my family, then pay someone else less to do a terrible job.

When we had the bed bug infestation it took me 3 Pest Control Companies to find one that didn't use chemicals and I am glad we were recommended to Gene and Certified Pest Control. I refer them to anyone I know who has an issue with mice, bees, raccoons, bedbugs, ANYTHING!

I had to call multiple times a day, several days in a row, to receive any type of response or follow-up, to my inspection. The buyers of my home utilized a VA loan and as the Seller, I was responsible for paying for the inspection. The company refused to release the inspection report to the Buyer's lender, until they received payment. I paid the day the inspection was completed via check and the company advised that until the technician dropped the check off to the office, they couldn't release my report.

The technician held onto my check and did not drop it off in the office until 3 days after my inspection was completed, and it pushed my closing out by 10 days. There was zero urgency in getting the termite stakes installed, which again, pushed out my closing another 12 days. Due to their lack of urgency, professionalism, and punctuality, my closing was pushed out by 3 weeks. I was also quoted significantly less in person by the technician, in regards to termite stakes and was billed a considerable amount more. I would not recommend.

We have used this company for 10 years. But, we are done with them! They are going down hill! The technicians are friendly and helpful. This company is expensive! They charge a large up front cost per type of insect and tell you that they will only warranty each insect if you pay for each insect. For example if you want to treat ants, spiders and centipedes, they will charge a large up front fee for each insect and then warranty each one for up to three months.

If you only pay the upfront charge of the ants and not the spiders and centipedes, they will not warranty the spiders and centipedes! They will return if necessary within the 3 month warranty, but not as often as you need them. When you call to schedule treatment, you cannot get on the schedule immediately. The scheduler has to call the technicians and get back to you.

I have waited 24 hours to weeks before she got back to me! What is the point of her job if she cannot do the scheduling! We have decided to switch and go with another company.
