~ Customer Testimonial ~ [April 2020] I used Superior Design Pools for my swimming pool and deck and wanted to provide an authentic and detailed review of the overall experience. DESIGN From the very onset, Shane and his team were absolutely amazing to work with. Shane took the time to methodically assist with the design and sketch of the pool and deck layout, ensuring it was exactly what we were looking for.
The amount of detail that goes into designing a pool can be overwhelming and it helped to have a patient and knowledgeable company guide us through the process. We envisioned a "Mediterranean" theme and Superior absolutely got it right. BUDGET As most families, we had a budget set aside for the project, and the team at Superior respected our financials and never once pressured us into exceeding our budget.
In fact, they afforded us options and choices, including decking surfaces, lighting, tiles, and machinery to ensure we remained within our financial goals. Their pricing was very fair. CONSTRUCTION Watching your backyard turn into a construction site can be stressful, but our experience was actually, quite pleasant. The pool was fully constructed and filled with water, well within the planned timeline.
The site never became an eyesore and had regular trash and debris pick-ups and collections. The tiles were done by Bill Collins and he's an amazingly talented professional craftsman. He takes his time and sets every tile to perfection. We enjoyed many conversations with him as he did his work. The decking was done by Kevin Coleman and he did a fantastic job on a poured and textured concrete finish.
He applied multiple coats and it looks wonderful. Pinnacle did our pool finishing in Midnight Blue and the color "invites" you into the water. We used Ronnie Munz of Fast Fence to install aluminum fence to pool code and we couldn't be happier with the work. Finally, Brian Garrett at Garret Sod and Pat from Pat's Nursery assisted with our landscaping needs and put the final touches on our backyard bungalow. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Stephanie at Superior oversees and coordinates every aspect of the process and is amazing.
She keeps everyone on schedule and walks the customer through every step. Not once was anyone ever late and she is always available to provide support and answer questions. If you are looking for a pool company in the Jacksonville / Saint Johns area, I would strongly recommend Superior Design Pools. I'm sure there are several respected companies in the area, but I can say, without any hesitation, that Superior gets five stars
