We like working with Lane Homes for several reasons. Communication is excellent as is the quality of the work and care taken when working inside your home, but most important is the quick response and follow up on any issues that arise during and after the project. In a construction project there will always be unforeseen problems or issues that arise. Lane Homes staff always tackles them head on and with well thought solutions, not just band aids.

The project from the design to the completion was polished and professional. This is a group of talented and dedicated people.

When remodeling or building a home, you can deal with several contractors and crews. Or you can use Lane Homes, Richmond's best builder who does everything including design.

My wife and I LOVE Lane! We love Lane not only because they do very good work, which they do.not only because they do very good work in a timely manner, which they do.not only because they do what they say they are going to do which they also do but also because they are wonderfully kind people of integrity who go WAY OVER AND ABOVE what we would normally expect of them.

I could give you at least a half dozen examples of this but the adage "you get what you pay for surely applies here". I pay a premium for working with them but it is because Lane provides not only better service but also a much more valuable product. I am so happy with my experience with Lane and have used them for a major remodeling and for recent work repairing flood damage from the freak rain we experienced in August. GREAT experiences both times. I will continue to see Lane as the go to provider for anything I need in terms of improving my home. I cannot recommend them more highly.

We wanted a Sunroom addition but we received our DREAM addition! After meeting with several contractors, only one stood out as a company that believed in making dreams come true by listening, thoughtfully designing and making recommendations to ensure that the sunroom that we wanted actually became a Dream room to exceed all expectations. The level of detail, communication, craftsmanship, professionalism and personalized service was nothing that I have ever experienced in my 65 years. Honestly, there are not enough accolades for Lane Homes & Remodeling.

I actually hated to see the room completed because their team of professionals had become like family. Even when I got some very personal alarming health news and our Dream room had been completed; they heard about it and checked on me and our family often. Lane Homes & Remodeling excels in everything and you will be glad you decided to let them make your dreams come true for your home and family too.

Unfortunately our experience with Lane was substandard. We were excited to secure their review of our project needs and to see what their designer would draw. It was a relatively simply addition of a wine/coffee bar. The designer was delayed in contacting us, and then after scoping our project it took her several weeks to get back in touch with us and only after our calls and emails.

Once reconnected she had no design, no estimate and most disappointing no ideas, but she offered that the cost for the project would be $X. Ultimately we went ahead with another contractor and love the finished project at less than half the cost suggested by the Lane designer.

My wife and I knew that we wanted to build a bedroom/bathroom that was uniquely ours and found Lane Homes & Remodeling through extensive research of local custom builders. After meeting with Ed and his team on multiple occasions and speaking with their customers, we knew that they were the perfect match to build our custom addition. From the moment we signed the contract up through the final walk-through and post-move in, the team went above and beyond to make our dream home a reality and the process along the way as smooth as possible.

Lane Homes completed a major kitchen renovation in our home. We are so pleased with their customer service, finished product, and especially their attention to detail. Alex was fantastic to work with, and all others who were at our house each day with the project were as well! Honestly, it was a lovely experience and we are thrilled with the dream kitchen that they created! I highly recommend working with Lane!

They were absolutely terrific at how easy they were to work with. The thing that surprised me the most, even the subcontractors were at the same level of professionalism as the management staff. They were wonderful.

We have had work done on our house four different times and used Lane Homes and Remodeling each time. Every experience has been outstanding. The jobs have gone without any problems. Lane Homes updated our 1980's bath to be much more functional and retain a spacious feel without changing the footprint.
