I wish so badly I could give these guys a good review because Shayne was so kind through all of our meetings, unfortunately, kindness can only get you so far. Many broken promises for replacements due to damages/install issues. I agree with the statements said in the other negative reviews. We ordered windows March 2021, they weren't installed until August 2021.
Once they were installed, 3 windows were incorrect, and we had about 19 screens that needed replacement. 1 window was totally shattered and they installed it anyways, and we had to live with cracked glass (our shower window btw!) for 3 months as we waited for replacement windows. We are still waiting for various screens to be replaced. Calling Shayne and Chris is useless.
Very rarely do they respond. I am very disappointed with the service we have recieved. Good bang for your buck but you definitely aren't paying for quality service. I recommend paying extra to go elsewhere where you know the job will be done right.

I had a very good experience with Window Depot replacing all of my windows. The workers are quick and efficient and did a great job! Shayne gave me a great price and was honest about everything. I got the tint added to mine and they are beautiful! I would recommend them to anyone. Service: Window installation

We replaced our windows with Window Depots windows because of a noise problem we were having. The windows work great. Our home is so quiet now. Jim one of the installers took such great care of our home while they were installing the windows. We had to call them back to adjust one of the windows and they repaired it. Great job. Great people!

The installation team were very professional, courteous and did a great job! They were very careful and even with problem areas, took there time and made sure the job was done correctly. Shane answered all of our questions and helped with color selection and we couldn't be happier. The windows look beautiful and have really improved the energy efficiency in our home. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new windows!

Wonderful experience, Shayne walked us through every step and even addressed and issued after install. Always returned calls promptly and the windows are excellent. Usually we could hear the school bus that stops on the corner, not a day since the install have we heard that bus. Love them. The crew that installed where fast, polite and cleaned up.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in the quality, and service. We called to have a few windows replaced on the house. We were looking to replace just a few initially that had gone bad (moisture in between the panes). We called to make an appointment and Shane came out a couple of days later. He provided a quote for the entire house so that we could decide which windows we would replace.
We decided to do the entire house at once because we wanted all of the frames to match. This was March of 2021. The windows came in at the end of June. We were told that the delay was due to Covid. They installed the windows. Out of 36 windows, 6 were either ordered or produced at the wrong size, 12 were either warped or defective and needed to be replaced.
For the 12 that were defective, you could see daylight out the sides, the seals were broken on a couple and moisture was inside the panes, the window sash was so curved it looked like a smiley face. So out of 36 windows, almost half of them were defective. We were promised that al of the defective windows would be replaced, including the frames. At this point, we started having issues with both Chris and Shane. Calls and texts were ignored.
We were promised a manufacturing rep would come out and then nothing. In late September, the new windows were in and replaced. Two were still ordered/produced incorrectly. The installer, even though he was aware of the incorrect builds, tried to get me to sign off on the project which I refused. And to make matters worse, 8 windows howl when the wind blows.
I contacted Chris and we did get a manufacturing rep out. He could not fix the issue and said that someone else from the Manufacturing side would reach out to me no later than a week. That was four weeks ago and still no response. Chris and Shane continue to ignore my texts and calls. We still wait on the correct windows sizes and the window defects to be either repaired or replaced, EIGHT MONTHS LATER! Buyer beware!

If you, like me, use reviews such as this to find contracting work, then stop here. Hire this company. Chris, Shayne, Jim, Jerry and Eli were absolutely phenomenal at what they do. Shayne came out and offered me the best estimate of any of the three very reputable companies whom we had come give us a quote, and by a lot. like a lot. Some of the companies were quoting us, solely for the windows we wanted done, what Window Depot of DFW quoted us for the windows AND a high end sliding glass door we wanted installed.
The windows are top notch, as was the quality and speed of installation. Jim, Jerry and Eli were the installation crew, which by the way is an in-house operation, when most of their competitors admitted to offloading installation to freelance crews, were on time, professional and caring with my property. They were clean, and went out of their way on several occasions that I personally witnessed to do certain work regarding our installation PROPERLY when they certainly could have cut corners.
They prioritize the quality of work and longevity of their installations above trying to churn out jobs like some of the larger companies seemed inclined to. Shayne came back out to my property at the end of the installation to verify the work himself and to ensure that I was happy with it. When does this happen any more? Most companies have the owner/managers assess the job initially, never to be physically seen once contracts have been signed.
To have a company structure itself in a way that so very clearly prioritizes integrity and customer satisfaction is an incredibly refreshing and increasingly rare thing these days. We were so pleased that Shayne is now my childrens' Godfather, as well. Not really, but I'd consider it. They're that good.

Window Depot - Be Careful Who You Sign With Last year we decided to get some bids on replacing our windows. The road in front of our house has gotten quite busy and the noise level was bothering us so thought we would upgrade. The company we signed with on December 8, 2020 was Window Depot. The new windows were installed on February 8, 2021. I called Chris Perry at Window Depot the very next day and told him I was very disappointed because I didn't see any improvement over the windows we had.
He was shocked and said he'd send out one of his guys to make sure the seals were all good. They rechecked all that. Then on February 25th I sent Chris an email with a picture of a crack in one of the sashes. Chris responded the next day, sent out his guy the following week to take a picture of the sash that needed to be replaced. On March 11th I sent Chris a note asking when the sash would be in and if he could please come out and see what I was saying about the noise levels. Chris responded on March 15th and said the sash would take several weeks and when it came in, he would send the window manufacturer out to install it and see what we were experiencing regarding noise levels.
On May 3rd, the sash was in and Steve O'Neal from Allside or Allstate Windows came out. He agreed with us that there was no noise improvement from the windows. He said that he would replace the 7 triple pane windows with windows that would really reduce the noise level at no charge to us. He was going to order the 2 bedroom windows first so we could see if it made a difference.
On July 8th, they came out to put in the replacement windows in the bedroom. When they took out the original ones they put in, they cracked the bottom sash pretty badly. When they went to put in the replacement windows, they found out that they had ordered the wrong size window. Their only choice was to put the cracked window back in and reorder the window sash again.
After multiple e-mails to both Chris and Steve, who were non-responsive most of the time, the window finally was installed today, October 7th. It took 10 months to get this job completed. I would not recommend Window Depot to anyone. They do not stand behind their product or their word. I should have saved myself the money and kept the other windows. Extremely frustrating/expensive experience.

Window Depot of DFW is top notch in my book. From the first call through start to finish with Owner Chris and face to face estimate with Shayne their personal and professional customer service never fell below exceptional. I was ready to throw in the Towle with off the chart ridiculous quotes and at the last second I saw their Ad. After getting quotes to replace all of much needed 37 windows and replace frenchdoors with patio sliding door for our home their quote was #1 hands down with their quality of windows, no up charge for double hung vs other competitors up charge option and no hidden fees or additional charges.
I paid exactly what my quote was. Shayne was up front and spot on with the factory production time line caused by the pandemic. He showed up each day to ensure the installation was going smoothly, inspect each window and talk with us to make sure if we had any issues. Their installation crew has the same personal and professional customer service as Shayne and Chris.
My understanding is their installation crew are not subcontractors who bid on installation jobs. They are employees with the company and this makes a huge difference with the quality of their installation workmanship. Our installation was a two day job. My wife took the extra step to cover all our furniture to help reduce dust. Let me tell you these guys were awesome to watch.
They only remove and install one Window at a time with drop cloths inside and outside, shop vacuuming during removal, took extra steps to clean and foam the exposed window frame area before new window is installed. Each window was caulked and glass cleaned before next install. The inside dust was very very minimal due to this crew being very tidy, organized, efficient and all packaging and debris continuously cleaned up and removed.
I highly recommend Window Depot of DFW. They are straight forward with their quotes and provide exceptional customer service from start to finish. Very pleased we found you last minute. Thank you Shayne and your installation crew.

Chris, our sales rep, was thorough and answered all of our many questions. Install team Jim and Jerry were amazing. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, cleaned as they finished installing each window. Entire job completed in one day. We are thrilled with the look and style of new windows, Easy tilt in of upper and lower window will make for easier cleaning. We would definitely recommend Window Depot of DFW!

Local service? What a joke. They took my $4,000 and got my windows and sliding patio door installed but trying to get service after the sale? Forget about it, I have been waiting 10 weeks for a replacement window that broke and have received nothing but ummm, ahhhhh, excuse after excuse when ever we can get someone to answer the phone. Take your business else where.
