Besides potentially destructive properties of water, we know that water is essential to plant heath and we design and install irrigation systems, including low voltage irrigation systems.

Drainage

Water is a beautiful thing, and very necessary for all growing things, but water can also be destructive. In Central Alabama, we can have severe storms that can dump more storm water than the ground can absorb quickly. The runoff from heavy rain can cause flooding and erosion, so managing water in the landscape is essential.

Tree trimming

Trees are the most useful of plant materials for shade, for beauty, and as a backdrop for your garden. Trees can also be a bridge for insects to reach your walls and roofs. We will trim your trees to remove dead limbs, remove branches that are too close to your home, and also do selective crowning of trees that interfere with any overhead utilities.

Fertilizing

Grass needs nourishment and constant care, especially during the growing season. We will inspect your lawn each week and fertilize, overseed, and/or replace damaged grass as needed.

Once your landscape has been installed, we take the continuing care of your landscaped areas very seriously. Landscaping is all about the maturing of the plant life, and making sure they are cared for as they grow. Shrubs, trees, grass and other plant materials have different cycles.

Zach and his crew were top notch! They did an extension of my existing retaining wall and elevated it. They also did some other work to address drainage on the side of my house. Pricing was very reasonable, the work far exceeded my expectations, and they even completed the job a day earlier! If you need any type of landscaping or drainage work done, I highly recommend. Zac was incredibly responsive throughout the process and laid out the perfect plan for how to redesign our landscaping by adding a sodded front yard and three level playing tiers in our sloped backyard. The plants he selected are perfect. They also built a beautiful stone wall and stairs. Chris and his crew worked hard and were very careful to not destroy our grass with their equipment. We could not be more pleased with the work. They turned unusable space into a highly usable and beautiful retreat. I can't recommend them highly enough!

After receiving several quotes, we decided to go forward with our sod installation and entertaining area project with Southern Heritage Landscaping, LLC. The crew showed up on time on the day we'd agreed for them to start the project and they were communicative with us throughout the first day. They arrived back, earlier than expected, on day two, and completed the job in a timely manner and made sure we were happy with the work before departing. Everyone we've worked with so far has been very professional and friendly and we look forward to using them for our lawn mowing and maintenance going forward.
