Report
The Window Factory has been servicing vinyl, aluminum, and wood windows since 1994. We service one window or an entire houseful. All service work is done in your home; we do not remove old parts until we return with new replacement parts. Most window parts are readily available for vinyl, aluminum, and wood windows, which makes repair such a cost-effective alternative to replacement.

I have had Frank and The Window Factory replace a number of windows over the years and have always found him to be professional, courteous and someone who pays close attention to detail. He truly cares about providing the customer quality service. His installers echoed all of that during their recent visit here. Punctual, courteous, thorough and happy to go the extra mile. Highly recommended

Frank is a delight to work with. He's quite knowledgeable and has years of experience in working with older style Pittsburgh houses that don't always have neatly squared and aligned window frames. He repaired several of our Victorian era windows with the skill and care and craftsmanship that come from so many years of expertise. Quality work. Competitively priced.

I need to add that I am not a new customer. My windows were installed back in 2001. The replacements were under a life time warranty. Now he is telling me he will not honor the warranty and for me never to call him again. Over the years he has had to replace many windows due to the seals breaking which I believe is a poor product. He has been terrible to deal with over the years.
I am very sorry that I ever did business with him. We spent iver $14,000 on our windows from him, replacing all but 2 small ones, a bathroom and kitchen window. We had 2 bay windows installed as well. Wish I never did.

I haven't hired their services, but I did have a number of broken window latches in a house I bought, and contacted the Window Factory to ask if they had parts. They called back in a couple of hours, asked a couple of good questions, and directed me to a website where I could buy the parts directly! I was worried they'd try a hard sell or to upsell me on replacements, and they didn't, which is great, because I can't afford that yet.
I am fairly handy, but I have a number of wooden window repairs/replacements coming up in other parts of this old house and even though my brother used to repair windows for a living, I haven't seen it done since I was about 12, so it's a pretty intimidating DIY. These guys will be my first call when the time comes.
