I am extremely disappointed with my decision to use Lannis Fence. Kyle seemed great and knowledgeable during the sale. I was told 8-10 weeks on the schedule, we left our nearly $5,000 deposit, then it went downhill. For starters I reached out in mid July for pictures from Kyle to get my HOA approval. I waited over a week for a response and heard nothing back and had to follow up.
Then waited 2 days for an email with 1 picture. I waited 8 weeks before reaching out to see where I was at on the schedule (early August). At that point I had heard nothing from anyone at Lannis. I texted Kyle on August 5th, 6th, and 10th before finally getting a response that he would have his project manager call me the next morning (August 11th).
The next afternoon came and I had heard nothing so I sent a reminder text to Kyle to have Tom call me. I got no response. So on August 12th I called their main office and asked for Tom. He told me it'd be at least mid September before they'd start, at the earliest. He didn't seem to care at all that they were exceeding the timeline by over 5 weeks.
I decided to call back and see what the penalty would be to cancel my contract. Brent (Kyle's brother) called me back and convinced my to keep my contract and got me in the schedule for August 23rd. A few days before the install I got a call from Tom letting me know utilities would be marked out and that the install crew would be out before 10am on Monday, August 23rd.
Since Lannis doesn't meet with their own install subcontractors to walk them through the scope, I had to take off work in the morning to meet with them. I waited until after 10:30am on the 23rd and heard nothing. Called the office and was told the crew was at the shop picking up the materials and would be out within a half hour. They didn't show up until 12:30.
I walked them through everything, they unloaded some materials and said they would be back to get the corner posts set. They never came back or communicated that they wouldn't be coming back. So fast forward, after taking 3-4 days longer than I was told to install, the fence was finally up and good for the most part. 4 of the posts were installed in the wrong location.
The crew moved upon my request (I had showed them where they go twice, and Kyles drawing specified very clearly). They cut the posts with a chainsaw 4-5 inches above ground level and covered in dirt to try to hide it. They also installed the incorrect hinges and broke my hose holder that was mounted on my house. Then I waited over 4 weeks (September 26th) before I reached out and demanded the posts that were installed in the wrong spot be dug up (see photos), and also tried to find out what the rest of the process was. Kyle responded this time, and apologized and said he would have Tom call me in the morning.
On the night of the 27th I let Kyle know I had never heard from Tom. Then again on the 28th. Instead of calling me, Tom deflected to their subcontractors to call me. Great manager. A couple no shows later and the correct hinges finally got installed. Now my gate posts look like swiss cheese and they rub quite a bit. Once things were finally done I reached out to Kyle to see if he could bring the final invoice down a bit for all of the communication and execution issues.
He thought I deserved something back as well and would talk to his brother Brent to discuss an amount and get back to me on Monday. This was September 30th. Fast forward to October 18th and I had heard NOTHING yet. I texted Kyle on October 18th, no response. I texted Kyle on October 20th, no response. I texted Kyle on October 22nd at 8:30am, nothing.
Then in the afternoon before getting a response that he was in quarantine for COVID. Because a 10 day quarantine justifies no responding for over 3 weeks. He told me he'd have Brent call me. Nobody ever called. Now on Thursday November 11th I received an email that my invoice is past due. I text Kyle immediately and surprise, no response. It's now 11/14 and I'm still waiting for an answer.

We used Lannis about 6 years ago to install our new fence. That experience wasn't bad actually and we were pretty happy with that purchase. The problem with Lannis is that they provide ZERO support for repairs and maintenance. I was in need of some replacement parts (posts) for my fence and the mfg told me the only vendor in my area was "Lannis". I called Lannis last week and asked if I could purchase some parts through them and the girl on the phone was extremely unhelpful to say the least.
She pretty much just said "no". I was confused and asked why I couldn't buy fence posts from a fence company. Once again I got a very short and rude response along the lines of "we don't sell parts" and "we don't help with repairs". Bottom line: if you need a new fence they're not bad. But don't expect them to be there for you down the road if/when you need parts or repairs.

Lannis Fence built us a great fence 15 years ago that we still have and is still in great shape. Then recently we got a dog.a BIG dog who leaped our fence immediately. So, we decided we needed a taller fence. We contacted Larry Stone, who sold us our original fence, and we arranged to build a 6 foot privacy fence, and we were put on their list. Meanwhile, our dog has learned to stay in the yard and actually gets great joy looking out over the top of our 4 foot fence, so we decided we couldn't go through with the fence purchase.
I contacted Lannis Fence, and they were super nice and understanding. Just extra great customer service. If our needs change again, I will not hesitate to go back to Lannis Fence. Total pros there. If you are looking for a fence, you can not go wrong with Lannis Fence.

Had a fence put in a few years ago. The guys were quick at getting it done. All post set in one day for my huge back yard. They came back a few days later to get all the boards in place. My fence was done that day. They even worked with me and added a few extra feet around the yard because my yard was actually bigger than we had thought. They also worked with me on giving us a bigger gate opening with 2 swinging doors so I can drive my truck and a trailer into my back yard. I highly recommend them.

My experience with Lannis was great. Larry worked with me on a quote for a Shadowboxed, Scalloped 3/4 Red Western Cedar fence. Their quote was in the middle of places I had come look at my property. They also did the work on my daughters Daycare fence and I liked how it looked so I went with them. Nick came out on a Wednesday, removed my old fence and set the posts for the new fence in a timely manner.
He came back on Friday to start the fence work but had to wrap up early for the day. He communicated that clearly and returned Saturday to finish the fence. The fence was completed Saturday and scalloped on Sunday morning. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. Several neighbors have complimented us on the fence as well. Thanks, Nick and Larry

Can't say enough good things about this company and the people that work there. 1. Called for an appraisal, Larry was at our house within 2 hours, did a quick walk around, gave me my options and gave me a quote. I called around and looked at the quality of materials other companies were using and it was no where close to theirs. 2. They gave me a heads up that they were about 4-8 weeks out on scheduling an appointment.
I called in to check on week 8 but they were right on the mark with it. 3. The crew contacted me, scheduled an appointment to make sure I was home to do a final walk around to understand the job and make any edits before they began. 4. Their first fence installer was sitting in his truck 30 minutes prior to their appointment at 7:30am outside my house on the day of the scheduled appointment.
After 15 minutes of going over the plan they began work at 8:15am, the existing fence was out by 11am and the new posts were installed by 3pm and they were gone for the day. This was including the time that I made some edits to the original plan and added another 25ft ft of fence line. PERFECT! 5. Due to colder temps I was told they might want to wait an extra day to let everything set.
As per the promise, they were back at the site 3 days later. 6. Each panel was individually installed with care for expansion and contraction room, as straight as an arrow, and with fine quality wood as promised. They were in and out within 4-5 hours of arrival and they covered about 200+ feet of privacy fence with 2 doors. EXCELLENT JOB OVERALL AND EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL STAFF FROM TOP TO BOTTOM!
This is our first home and I consider myself a DIY'er, but in the end everytime someone drives by my house they would know if I did the job or a professional. I will definitely refer them to others and give them my business the next time I need them for a new property.
