Can't recommend enough. Founder Erik Blitte showed at my house right on time for an estimate-and quickly got me on their calendar. Their painters Will, Yony, Hubert, and one more whose name I didn't catch-all brothers!-showed right on schedule and displayed a craftsmanship that you just don't see anymore. All four brothers were friendly, patient, and talented. In fact, I've already asked Tenleytown Painting to paint some more rooms at my house this fall.

We bought a century old house in Cleveland Park that was a bit of a dream realized. Tenleytown Painting came highly recommended for painting and other work. They exceeded our expectations. Erik is a professional through and through, always listening but ready with insights and filled with knowledge about house's historic value. Even in this crazy time with supply chains, etc., he met all deadlines and price estimates. Finally, Erik's crew is professional, skilled, hard-working, and take genuine pride in their work. Tenleytown Painting did a truly outstanding job on a recent project in DC. The attention to detail and quality of work is unmatched. The entire process from start to completion was seamless. Scheduled 1:30 PM estimate on a Wednesday. I called and emailed at 1:15 and 1:33 to let them know I was running a few minutes late. Arrived to my apartment at 1:40 - no return email, no call, no painter. Waited 30 minutes; called and emailed several times with no response. When they finally responded, said the painter was there but didn't wait.

They must be busy enough to not give their customers any consideration, or to answer their calls or emails promptly. I've lost two hours of my work day as a result and will hire someone else.

I'm so happy that we chose Tenleytown Painting. We had a huge project that involved a lot of prep work. The crew was very meticulous, clean and professional. They seemed to go above and beyond Not only was the estimate reasonable but I felt like I got more for my money. It was an enjoyable experience and I couldn't be happier!

I highly recommend Tenleytown Painting! They are a local, small business and I got their name from my local roofer who has always recommended great companies to me. I had the interior of our house painted (finally!) and they sent a friendly crew of five painters exactly on time. They did quality work with beautiful results at a very reasonable price.

They showed up every day, worked hard, cleaned up and moved all my stuff back. Of course, it was messy during the process but the results are fantastic. My friend who's a fine art painter is really impressed with the quality and that means a lot to me. Now, I am going to have them paint the exterior of my house.

Sara and Erik run a fantastic business, from beginning to end. With my particular project the dates kept moving due to unrelated issues on my end including delays with my flooring work, an upcoming long vacation, and an impending wedding. They completely worked with us to fit us in their busy schedule - I found out later that they actually reached out to my realtor and talked him into letting me take his time slot! - and showed up as agreed.

In addition to being a pleasure to work with business wise, the painting itself was exceptional. The employees are hard working, professional, and dedicated to their craft. The foreman on my job came over late at night when we had an unforeseen issue arise completely unrelated to the painting itself. Bottom line: if you are looking for painters who are reasonably priced, do phenomenal work, and are 100% good people who stand behind their work, hire Tenleytown Painters. I assure you it will go down as one of your best decisions as a homeowner.

Right before the date when they were supposed to start work, they sent a short e-mail explaining they wouldn't work with us anymore.

If I could give Tenleytown painting more stars, I would. They did an absolutely beautiful job on our downstairs interior and in an astonishingly timely fashion. I really enjoyed the interaction. Dakota was very respectful and accommodating and I get so many compliments on his work. The attention to detail is like any other company. I was told they are the best in the area for quite some time now and I see the reason for their word of mouth reputation

Tenleytown Painting has painted my house many times over many years. The crews have changed, but the attention to detail and pre-painting preparation has not. The work was done well, and the crew was respectful of our needs. The start date shifted several times. However, with rain in the forecast throughout the early summer, that is understandable.

Our experience with Tenleytown painting has been wonderful. They left the job site clean every day-- a tough thing to do with the amount of dusty prep work needed. They painted four rooms inside and the exterior of the house and garage for us. We have gotten lots of compliments on the quality of their work-- we certainly think it looks great. Eric, the owner, was quick to respond to phone messages and we appreciate their professionalism.

Disappointed. After taking over a month to connect after one phone call, we were told that they would not paint our house because we have a third floor and they do not have anyone willing to go that high on a ladder. Maybe you're in the wrong business or maybe you have the wrong employees? I guess if you have a two story house you'd be fine.

Tenleytown Painting did our home's exterior with professional skill and care. Foreman John a very able leader of his crew. Also, an artisan, John found perfect matches with existing pain surfaces. Their pricing is fair and their staff courteous. We are very pleased. And the final test is the look: GREAT!

The paint started cracking almost immediately and a chunk of the siding started to stick out soon after it was installed. They were cool about coming back to fix the siding and doing some repainting but the paint continues to crack. All-in-all a ver disappointing experience.
