Mid-State Solar

Was referred to this company by my tax person who was quite satisfied. Sent three separate requests for information regarding solar through the company website and was never contacted.

I just had mid-state solar install a solar pool system and I am absolutely satisfied. In less than 24 hours my pool temperature was at the selected temperature. The entire crew was fantastic, including the first guy who came out to do the free consultation. They were all extremely nice and professional and they listened to my concerns and questions. I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering a solar pool system. it will be worth the money.

We had Mid-State Solar do our solar for electricity and they were outstanding. Mary, Aaron and Nick as well as the installation crew were great to work with. Communication was good and and really pleasant to work with.

Mid State was quick to provide a quote and install, that I'll give them. As to fixing a leak that wasn't there when they touched our pool equipment, we were told that it wasn't caused their install to call our pool company. That it most likely was caused by the increased pressure. UPDATE: After a little blow up (which I feel bad about) They came out and fixed the leak, and Ty said it was possible that when he added the two valves that the filter union could have loosened up.

I had my solar panels installed by Peterson Dean a few years ago. This last summer something went out in my Enphase box so I wasn't getting any data as to how much electricity I was generating. This had happened to me once before so I knew to call Enphase first to have them trouble shoot it then to call Peterson Dean to install the new part. Imagine my surprise when Enphase informed me Peterson Dean went bankrupt on the solar panel part of their company so I had no warranty for them to come install the part.

It took 2 months to get the part and they were supposed to send a list of contractors who worked on Enphase systems but they didn't, so I did some research to find a company that did to pay to have it installed. I found Mid -State and they were able to send a gentleman out to install it. It didn't take him long to fix however he found there to be another problem, but this time with the solar panels.

Something went out on 1 panel that made none of the electricity be reported to PG&E. He didn't have the part with him and said he could come back another time to change it out. We got to talking and I told him I was thinking about adding some panels because since I installed the panels I bought an electric car so my true up was up quite a bit.

He told me he'd have Aaron get in touch with me to figure out what I needed. Longer story shorter, they installed 6 new panels and upgraded my micro-inverters on my old panels which increased their production also. And the upgraded mico-inverters will also be compatible with a storage battery if I decide to get one. Aaron and the whole crew were awesome through this whole thing. I'll definitely use them again.

Aaron and Nick were amazing. We found out our existing solar with BP suffered a massive recall years ago due to panels spontaneously combusting and catching fire. Well wouldn't you know- ours caught fire. I would've never known without the knowledge of these two. I knew a converter went out, but my existing solar company was no longer in business. so I turned to Mid-State hoping they might be able to help.

We ended up getting our entire solar removed and replaced after filing a claim for the fire, and they did an outstanding job. Highly recommend Mid-State- they're honest and passionate about what they do. They care!

I have been completely happy with my choice for solar through this company! From installation to now a year later it has exceeded my expectations. They treated me like a friend and responded to each and every question. Their office staff are awesome as well!

When our existing solar system died, we wanted to find a company that paid equal (or more) attention to the After Sale side of customer service, since that was where our previous installation company failed. We got a few quotes; 2 from the Big Guys, and one from Mid-State who was referred to us by a friend. The Big Guys had the cheaper quotes, but based on reviews from Yelp and other Solar-specific review sites, they were terrible with the customer service after installation.

So we decided to go with the slightly more expensive quote from Mid-State. It was probably one of the best decisions we've ever made with regards to home improvement work! I cannot speak highly enough about Aaron and his crew! From start to finish and beyond, they were just fantastic! Aaron went over everything in the proposal to make sure we didn't have any questions, then kept us up to date on scheduling.

From the complicated removal of our old system, to the replacement of some shingles, to the install of the new system, and clean up.everything was top notch! AND, I know that if we have any issues down the road, Mid-State will be there to help! Highly recommend!

We purchased a home in Ripon last summer and wanted to get our pools solar equipment tuned up before summer. I found Mid State's Solar sticker on our equipment from the previous owner. I called about 4 weeks ago (mid April) and spoke with a lady who was very friendly. She told me they were very busy, or in her words, "slammed" and would not commit or make an appointment at that time.

I called back every week to try and schedule but received the same response, "We are very busy." Finally, my wife received a call from their office on May 20th stating a technician would be out on May 21st between 12:00PM and 2:30PM. May 21st came and went without anyone showing up or even the courtesy of a call to let me know why. I called the office on 05-24-21 at 12:50 PM and spoke with the same nice lady by phone.

She told me she saw the scheduled appointment but had not received the technician's notes to find out why nobody came out. I told her everyone including the technician is very busy; however, everyone carries a cell phone and a simple call to let me know there was a delay would have been appropriate. I told her the technician's actions were unacceptable. If you're looking for frustration, excuses and a complete lack of respect for your time, give this company a call.

Very pleased with Mid state. from the quote process to the installation to taking my calls with questions once it was turned on, they have been professional, helpful and quick to respond. I would highly recommend them.

I called to get a quote on a pool solar system over two weeks ago. They came out did an inspection and said Mary would write up a quote I waited a few days no call no quote I have called every day asked for her no quote I'll get to it today 8 times. yesterday I called spoke to someone else who said they would talk to her. I'm not happy I am asking for recommendations from others.

Aaron with Mid State is amazing. Great service always available to answer questions. If I had solar to do all over again they would definitely be my first choice. Local, great pricing, and not one of these big outfits just trying to sell you the biggest system your house can handle and moving on to the next customer. If you are thinking about solar or need your system serviced they should definitely be one of the people you call for a quote.

A few years ago we had Mid-State solar at our house to repair a few minor problems with our pool's solar heating. Main difference: When Mid-State fixed the problem it stayed fixed! From the outset, our pool's solar had capacity to work perfectly in summertime but fell short in April, May and September of heating the pool enough to make it a pleasurable experience.

Recently i had them at the house to repair damage done to the pool solar's pipes by a fallen tree limb. While they were here I had them increase the system's capacity by 20%. I'm delighted with the results, having enjoyed the pool in April and looking forward to pool days in May. I recommend this company with enthusiasm!

FANTASTIC! The most honest, creative, and amiable company we have EVER dealt with. Aron advised us against panels on our roof and worked with us closely to put in a carport structure that is attractive and so efficient that PG&E has owed us the last 3 years! Bravo!

This was by far the best company I have worked with in a very long time. The customer service was (and still is) top notch. You can tell Mid-State Solar takes pride in their customer service and their business as a whole. Aaron is extremely polite, very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the process the entire way. I felt the pricing was reasonable and I didn't feel like I was being sold something I didn't. Mid-State Solar is the way to go.

Called 5/15/17, with my solar issue! Was out on 5/17/17, here a half hour and had my solar system up and running! Company who in stalled and has done all work since 2007, gave me a week to 2 weeks for appt., and off the top informed me it was$175.00? An hour and times starts when they arrive and ends when they leave! I guess want get rich quick! Not off me! Lol Mid state was awesome, in the office, and technician who came out and performed the work. I thank you! And should I need any further work, I'll b calling you!

Great customer service and line of products, I am very happy with my sunny boy 7.0 inverter. Running the Air conditioner as much as we like no with kilowatts to spare at the end of the month. I only wish Modesto Irrigation/power District had better policies towards green energy.

Called Mid-State to inspect our solar heating system. We recently purchased the house and wanted instruction on how to properly operate the solar system. It was very difficult to schedule an appointment for a service visit. The company would not commit to a day and time. When you work an hour away from home being told you would get a call in the morning if someone could come out that same day is really difficult to plan around.

When the technician did come out he said we had an issue with temp control and of course suggested replacing the entire control panel. He did ultimately just replace the temp sensor. But he could not give us a quote on the cost of the repair. He just said we would get a bill. Who can't provide a price? Not happy with the customer service or the communication.

Great family owned business. Years ago I had a pool heating system installed and recently added PV panels. Aaron worked with me to design a system and configuration I was happy with. Installation was very professional and had a clean look. They even painted the electrical conduit to match my roof and house. I have been very happy with both my pool and PV system. I would highly recommend Mid State Solar.

We had an excellent experience with Mid-State Solar. We went with PV panels, water heating system and a new variable speed pool pump. They hid all the pipes very nicely, they painted the pipes that went along the side of our house the service techs were professional, friendly and meticulous. I'm really glad we went with them and would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Last Summer Mid-State installed solar water panels and a new high efficiency pump. They were quick and professional. I had several problems with the pump (operator error) that they kindly came out and checked at no charge.

The best solar company in San Joaquin / Stanislaus Counties, bar none. We initially hired them to install the Solar Pool heating system. The system they had (Israeli-made) exceeded my expectations and provided an exceptionally hot swimming pool per our (medical) requirements and to our complete satisfaction. This is not easy to achieve but the owner (Phil) worked with us patiently from start to finish and was always, prompt, courteous and professional.

Their quote was not the cheapest (more like mid-range) but the fact they have been in business since 1977 and their thorough knowledge and patience impressed me. A year later, we were looking to install PV (Electric) solar system. We had 3 finalists in our myriad of choices. Again, their prices were mid-range but they elected to provide a discount to come closer to the lowest price we had from a an alternate vendor - plus free upgrade to better solar panels and better management software.

That - in combination with our prior Solar Pool heating experience, tilted the scale in their favor and we chose them. Once again, they did an amazing, prompt job. We only had the system for 3 weeks so I will post updates in the future. But as we stand we are 100% satisfied and we highly recommend Mid-State Solar

Awesome customer service! We called them to repair our solar pool heating equipment. They were able to squeeze us in within 2 days since our pool filter couldn't run due to the broken solar. The service man was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!
