From the minute I walked in the door and said "I need carpet". It has been a great experience! I told them what I was looking for. pet friendly carpet, the color and the style. I was led right to what I was looking for, took the sample home, they came and measured, and today some very nice young men put my new carpet in. And I love it! My friends and my contractor were shocked when I told them the price I paid!

They had all guesses three times more than what I paid. I have a rectangular room 12 by 18, so there really wasn't any hassle with the install. The installers even made sure that my television and cable were hooked back up correctly and that all of my furniture was exactly where I wanted it. I'm a happy homeowner and carpet purchaser.

Absolute worst experience ever- brought in flooring sample to be matched, inept sales woman advised us on exactly what flooring would match our sample. We drive an hour both ways to pickup new flooring only to find out it is twice as thick as what we need. Drive back- bring flooring, speak to owner who acknowledges it is the wrong flooring and says he will get fixed.

Never returns our calls. We drive there for the 3rd time now, and he won't even speak to us sends out the same sales woman. Finally he gets involved and won't do anything for us- saying it's our fault for ordering the wrong flooring when it was his employee who made the recommendation! Won't refund- stuck with $900 worth of flooring we can't use.

Stout did a stellar job of recommending and installing a high-end engineered hardwood floor in my home, and did it for far less than other contractors wanred to install the same grade of flooring.

Hey google user, I don't know who you used, but it wasn't Stout, wE priced from Moleneaux and they where 30% higher and wanted a week to install. You must have used a knockoff using Stout name! We had 1,000 sq feet installed in 2-1/2 days and they where FANTASTIC! And again some Bruce/Armstrong flooring at 30% less the Moleneaux

We needed to order a Shaw carpeting quickly and have it installed as soon as feasible. Stout was great at finding the carpet I needed and keeping in touch all along he way. They even went out of their way to bring color samples to my house during a snow storm to expedite things. To top it off, their price was much lower than another local carpeting business that I had been considering. A great experience from start to finish and I'm so thankful I found them!

I like the previous reviewer had same issues for scheduling and overcharged on estimate. Owner told me we would do remnant but than ordered. To top off his inept staff made a pipe leak in bathroom and leaked through ceiling to bottom floor on top of furniture that was soaked. IT WAS HORRIBLE. We went and talked with owner and said he'd look into it and never called back or rectified situation. Now we smell mild. WORST COMPANY EVER.

The flooring that we ordered was fine but customer service was lacking. After placing the order there was no interest in making sure we were satisfied. We even called to order molding to match the flooring we ordered and the response was sluggish and lacking. I prefer to do business with local small businesses but for our flooring needs we will no longer be going back to Stout.

Stout gave me a couple of options to work with my budget. They were able to squeeze in my installation because I needed it quickly. The installers did a great job in my basement. It needed a lot of correction to the floor and they did it the RIGHT way even though it meant having to go back and get more product and involved more time than originally thought. Overall, a very good experience.

While the selection at Stout is fine and I am told the pricing is fair, their lack of customer service and professionalism is beyond lacking. I truly feel that once they got our money they no longer had any interest in the timing or quality of our install, or in our customer satisfaction. After repeated calls to get scheduling details, both of my instalation dates had to be rescheduled due to installer no-shows, and my house was left in need of professional cleaning. (There were greasy hand prints left on my walls, the trim was damaged, and my grout color choice was inadvertently left off of the paperwork, which I was told only AFTER the tile was installed so I could not even access the floor in order to make an appropriate color selection.) I am sorry to say I cannot recommend Stout Flooring. I do prefer to use local businesses over national retail outlets, but in this case it backfired.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! Save yourself the trouble and do the work yourself! Nearly 3 months late on completion, installed the wrong material twice, leaked water through the kitchen ceiling, had contractors call me to schedule and explain work, never knew what work needed to be done, never came to the job to check its progress.
