Brooks Hardwood Floor Refinishing

I received a quote for services along with a start date of Monday, 4/15. Not only didn't they show up, they have not returned my phone call or text messages. I have now wasted over a week and have to start over with estimates. Very unprofessional way to conduct business.

I arranged with Brooks to refinish a hardwood floor on May 12, 2018. That date came and went until I called them on May 17. They returned my call 3 days later and told me it would be delayed a few more days due to equipment problems. I called again on May 29. It's now June 27 and I have heard nothing. I guess my small job wasn't worth their time. Not very professional or respectful of potential customers. I would highly recommend Jason Barber of A1Pro who answered my call promptly and did an excellent job 10 days after 1st contact.

I see a lot of positive reviews here but my experience was different. he did come in with the best price. after a couple of days he complained he didn't charge enough. when he was finished i mentioned the floors looked like they did not have enough poly on them. it was obvious. he said, yeah, they could use another coat. i paid for two coats of poly but only got one. guess he was trying to make up for not charging enough ($2500). how do i know? he left his trash so i calculated the coverage based on the empty poly cans. the bad news is i had to do another coat myself. having no experience, i had to go to the internet to learn how. had to sand entire house by hand. my first coat did not go that well so i had to sand entire house again and another coat of poly went on. i ended up spending 80 hours finishing the job i paid him to do. additionally, there was red stain left splattered on my baseboards throughout the house. he never offered to clean it up. my antique floor tile was ruined in places where his floor sander came up against it and gouged it. also gouged my baseboards in several areas. he also left swirl marks on a few of my stairs. take it for what you will but that 80 hours spent finishing his job was some of the most difficult labor i have ever done and i resent having to do it. job was on morlock st in mckeesport about five years ago. you smoked and worked shirtless. believe me, i remember. dude, your picture is on your website so i know it is you.

I had Brooks do the hardwood floor in one of my bedrooms in my house and it looked amazing! I'll definitely use him in the future for the other rooms that need refinished. He's efficient, nice to work with, and super reliable. Does a great job for the price he charged.

We had Brooks redo our bedroom floor and he did such a great job! I wish we would have had him do every room in the house! I will definitely call him when the time comes to do so. He was able to match the finish and color of the hallway leading into the space. There were even some black water stains in the old floor that are longer visible. He was very easy to work with, I would highly recommend!

With our rooms cleared of furniture and no floor refinishing company showing up, we found Brooks online. He already had excellent reviews + gave me a quote over the phone just by giving him the measurements. I told him of our situation and he said he'd be out the following Monday to start the job. Here's the great part. HE SHOWED UP!

Even with us being way out of his traveling district, he agreed to do the job. Not only did our floors turn out beautiful but Brooks, throughout the week, went above and beyond several times. He showed that he cared about his companys reputation by caring about our families needs us being satisfied completely went with the job. Can't believe I found a professional that could produce such high quality work with affordable pricing. We had a little hiccup in our scheduling due to the remodel (totally our fault) and Brooks worked with us to get back on track. He has been very professional and accommodating. Brooks refinished our hardwood floors in our living and dining rooms while we were on vacation. We had to move all of the furniture out of those two rooms (which wasn't fun) but it was well worth it! Brooks' estimate came in the lowest so we went with him. Our floors were badly worn and one spot near the front door was so worn it was black. I didn't think it would come out. To my amazement, the spot came out and the floors look absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Brooks.
