Southern Builders

I had a total house makeover from Southern Builders. Roof, Siding and Windows and Doors. I have issues with my sliding glass doors (2 of them) and three of the windows have foreign material (small) between the glass sealed panes. I have tried to contact the company numerous times without any response. Finally, I heard from them that they were going to have a person contact me to resolve my issues. Unfortunately, they have gone silent again.

Another week has gone by and again no resolution to my issues. Very, Very poor after market support. Product and subs were great, but I would not contract with them if they can't arrange to fix issues you may have. Martin S. Dandridge, TN

Had windows installed 5 months ago. One window was missing a screen and the company had supply issues getting the missing screen. They took care of it after months of dealing with their supplier though. Overall, I would recommend.

After a month of calling, texting Charlie Hutchinson he never returned cell phone call, texts and emails after promising to give me a quote. What a disappointment. Throwing his card into a trash can now.

WOW, our new siding, windows and guttering are of excellent quality and workmanship, couldn't be more pleased. Had one or two minor issues, and Charlie addressed right away. Neighbors are continuously dropping in to compliment how great our house looks!

Southern Builders was great.back in 1993 when they installed our vinyl windows. BUT SINCE then, have made SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND ATTEMPTS to have them come back to our home(NOT FAR from Knoxville at all!) Not only di they schedule and not call when they do NOT SHOW, but sometimes they just don't return our calls! My advice: pay extra to go with someone who WILL FIX leaky seals, springs, locks, etc! Bad customer service!

Charlie came to our home to provide an estimate to replace a door. He was prompt, and extremely professional. He explained all of the options we that were available and provided us with a quality solution. I would not hesitate to use Southern Builders again. Excellent people. Thanks again.

Very pleased with Southern builders installation of new siding-Charlie was professional and courteous. Took just a little longer than we thought but no biggie. Very satisfied!

We had our siding and gutters replaced earlier this year in June 2019, so this review is several months post completion. Charlie won my business because of price and also because I felt he was trustworthy from the start. After getting several quotes and making a decision, I paid my deposit to get the siding ordered. The only concern during the whole process was between then and the job starting.

We knew it was going to be a couple of months due to color we chose. Had some issues getting communication on job start date. But once we connected and his crew arrived, the job was finished in just a little over a week. We couldn't be happier with the job the siding crew or the gutter crew did. We have only had a couple of very minor issues that were quickly and easily resolved. I'd recommend Southern Builders and Charlie Hutchinson to any of my friends or family.

He was out the next day, gave me a quote, and had my new roof on by the third day. Very nice people I dealt with and the clean-up was exceptional. The crew at Southern Builder did an excellent job of replacing the siding on our home. It was a big job. All I can say is that they exceeded expectation. I would highly recommend them for their detail work. The job was more complex and difficult, but Scott who was the onsite supervisor and his staff did a spectacular job. Thank you Charlie!

I would highly recommend Southern Builders if you are looking for a roofing company that takes pride in their workmanship and cares about their customer's experience. We couldn't be more pleased with the installation and appearance of our new roof. The care the roofing team took with our lawn, plants and shrubbery was also appreciated. We used their siding team last year to replace wood shingles on our home - and because of the great work they did at that time, we had no hesitation about using them when we needed a new roof. I coordinated an installation of my sons roof in Clinton from Nashville. Charlie Hutchinson handled the installation and coordination in a professional and prompt manner. I worked in the construction industry for 38 years and would put Southern Builders up as a sub contractor that would be desirable to work with.

We had a roof replaced on our house and Southern Builders did the work on time and as promised. Charlie even went out of his way to help make special accommodations when it came to picking out a color/type of shingle. The crew worked quickly and cleaned up all of their debris. I would highly recommend them.
