Been a repeat customer for years. I have sent a lot of customers their way & I have spent a lot of money with them. I've dealt with their lack of communication but when the service also declines you can no longer make excuses for the lack of communication. This company will not return calls. They will just eventually show up unannounced. I have stood by them when they made mistakes like winterizing my pool without shutting off the timer.
The pool ran for days. They put in writing that they would make any necessary repairs in the Spring as a result of their mistake. I respected them for that. Things happen. When our pool filled with sand, I called for weeks to try to get them to fix it. We eventually order the part online & purchased sand. We were in the process of replacing it. We had the filter empty & disassemble when they showed up unannounced & fixed it while we were at work.
We did the majority of the work so why should I pay full price for that? Yet, we worked it out & I continued to send business their way. I called in early September because our pool is leaking & occasionally making a strange sound. I know he doesn't return calls. So I give him time. I call again mid September. We have a leak & we need to schedule the pool closing.
They close our pool every year. Still no call back. Oct 1st they show up. I just happen to be home. By the time I could get outside, they were gone. Here maybe 5 minutes. They left a bill in my mailbox for $70 that the pool was running fine. What about closing the pool? What about the leak? The sound is not constant. So what about the sound? I called & Called.
Finally I called & said don't bother. I'm calling someone else. Well, if the leak is in the new liner Rios installed last year, apparently, the leak test will be covered under warranty if they preform it. If someone else does it, it's approximately $400. So back to calling Rios. Back to Rios not returning calls. It's now Oct 18th & getting very cold outside. Does not matter what business you run, how busy you are, if you do not at least call your potential customer back & at least say "hey we are really busy & unfortunately don't have the time to help you" then you lose business & you get reviews like this.

Horrible communication. Doesn't return calls for weeks, if at all. After leaving 3 messages over 2 weeks got return call & they closed our pool & installed pro-mesh cover summer 2018 - good job - I paid timely and in full. Bob agreed to come back 2019 to open pool and help us replace heater & locate small leak in plumbing. I left 4 messages March thru April to get on schedule. Bob returned 1 call during business hours which I couldn't answer. I left at least 7 messages between phone & Facebook (confirmed seen/read) and received zero response. I gave up & took my money somewhere else.

I have worked with Bob Rios from Rios pools for many years. He installed my in-ground pool 19 years ago and has helped me over the years with many other products and services. From things like installing a diving board later, to a new liner after storm damage to pump and filter repair to most recently finding me a great deal on a ProMesh 98% shade Safety Cover for my 16 x 38 in-ground pool. Bob Rios is a man of principle and integrity. He stands behind his quality work and I could not recommend him any stronger. Great guy, great work, great products and great company! Satisfied Customer for MANY year!
