Universal Windows

We had our initial consultation with Robb that was almost 3 hrs long and we learned a lot about the quality and the construction of the unshield windows and Universal Windows Direct. We have a total of 18 windows that we are going to replace but decided to take 5 at a time to have them replaced. So we had the final consultation with Cory and he was very professional and just as helpful & knowledgeable about windows and Universal Windows.

We only had to wait for two months for them to construct our windows which was quicker than originally quoted of 12-16 weeks. The install team was also very quick and very professional and in about another 3 months we will scheduling and ordering another 5 windows so we will be about half way done and take advantage of our price guarantee that expires September 2023.

Thanks also to Emma and Rachael in the office they were also very nice and professional. We share our windows and the yard sign with anyone that is in the need for replacement windows. Would love to do a video marketing on before/during/ and after window replacements. Wonderful company and will for sure continue using them.

This company was recommended by a friend. When I called to have an estimate done I was told that they would not do the estimate unless my husband is present. I clearly explained to them that I am the financial decision maker as well as the only one who has input into upgrades to our home. My husband owns a business and is not available to sit through an hour sales pitch on 2 windows and a front door. Sadly they lost out on the project and I went with a competitor who didn't have an issue allowing a woman to make decisions on a home. Sounds like this company needs to come into the 21st Century and understand that women can, in fact, make decisions and financially pay for home improvements without the input of a spouse. Hopefully the revisit this policy in the future so that other women are able to make purchase decisions with them.

Windows we purchased are very well made. Reasonable price. People we dealt with very friendly and very professional. The gentleman who installed the windows knew what they were doing. We recently had all our windows, siding/soffit/fascia, and gutters/leaf guards replaced by Universal Direct. It started out with the home designers Rob and Samantha talking about their product and giving us an estimate. They were both great and professional. Few months later when the supplies were ready, Jeremy, Brock, and Eli came out and did the windows.

The three of them were awesome and did exceptional work. They were extremely professional and courteous of my home, and they made sure everything was good and cleaned up before they left. The windows look fantastic inside and out. As the windows were getting finished up the siding guys started all their work. They worked extremely fast and efficiently.

They had to come out a couple extra times after "completion" for a couple little jobs they did not finish. The siding/soffit/fascia and gutters/leaf guards all look great and I am very pleased with how everything looks. Okay, so why the 4 star and not 5? Based off the home designers and window people, I badly wanted to give a 5 star. No doubt they were the highlight of the entire project.

Two smaller issues I had, that DID NOT take away from the overall 5 star, were: The siding people did not speak strong English and they did not have someone around that could translate. So, whenever they had questions, or I had questions, it was extremely hard to communicate with them. The other smaller issue was when scheduling a time for the home designers to come out and give an estimate.

The front office essentially would not schedule a time unless both my wife and I could be there. This was difficult for us to accommodate. My wife and I had already previously decided that we were getting the same design windows and in white. Even with this, the front office would not schedule a time to meet just with me. Okay, so what DID take away from the overall 5 star? Again, two things, minus half star for each: The siding people left quite a bit of mess, and by quite a bit I mean a lot.

It looked like they did not even try to clean up. I found almost 20 nails and screws in my yard within 10 minutes, and I have two dogs. There is still tons of bits and scraps of siding material all over the front and back, and I have concluded a clean up won't be done at this point. I did not expect a perfect looking yard, but I definitely expected better than how they left my yard. Secondly, the front office's lack of communication got to an extremely frustrating point.

I almost never received a call back when I was told I would, nor even a non-call back call. I had to keep calling them myself since the beginning. I had to re-call to schedule the estimate that they told me they would call to schedule. I had to call to see the status of the supplies. I had to call to schedule when the people would come out to work.

I would have to call to see why the siding people either did not show up when scheduled or why they left in the morning and never came back. I had to keep calling to get updates for when they were going to come back out and finish the job or finish the items they forgot. It just got extremely annoying. The customer should not be the one having to always engage. All-in-all, I am extremely happy with all the work done. My house looks amazing.

The sales associate made sure we understood the details about her company in a fun and professional manner. The installation crew were absolutely flawless and definitely love their work and they, made sure each windows looked perfect inside and outside what an amazing experience. We had 12 old 90 year old rotted wooden windows replaced by Universal Windows. They premeasured etc, talked to us about trims etc, and built the windows. On the day of installation they showed up on time, started upstairs removing the old windows, and carefully taking them out so there was no debris in the house. They had the windows replaced in 1 day, including tearing out a double wide kitchen window, and replacing it with a beautiful garden window.

The second day they finished with one small half round window over the front door, put new trim around all the windows on the outside, and new wood trim inside on the garden window. The crew was courteous, professional, and worked hard. They cleaned up as they went, and then afterwords so it really didn't look like they were here. Except for the beautiful new windows.

They explained how the windows worked, and how to clean them. All in all a perfect job. It's been 2 months and we are still extremely happy with the job and love looking out the windows. They are very quiet, compared to the old windows that you could hear the glass rattle with some wind and which let a lot of outside air/breezes in. It's so great to be able to easily open the windows this fall on nice days to get some fresh air in the house. Thanks for the great job and the beautiful windows.

Sorry for the late review. This is a great company to work with, I had several windows installed in my home. We truly love them and can tell the difference in the quality. I used Universal Windows Direct to replace three exterior doors and a sliding glass door. From the salesman Rob, to install with Udo and Jeff(?) everyone was courteous and professional. They were at the higher end of quotes we entertained however I found their product and warranty to be superior and their craftsmanship was top notch. Service:General door installation

I will start out by saying Universal Windows Direct of Dayton not only met my expectation but exceeded them. I initially had 11 windows replaced. I was so pleased with the results I used them to replace the front door and reside the house.

I purchased four windows on Sep 15, 2015 and they were installed on Oct 27, 2015. I have eleven windows total in my home but could only afford four at the time. This was not a problem with the sales person.

Universal Direct Windows replaced 2 windows in my condo. The company was very professional and did an outstanding job. We are very happy with our new windows and would highly recommend this company for all your window and door needs.
