Green clean: Please note we only use vinegar/water, baking soda, and mild dish soap, but would gladly use your products per request. All green-clean products are not as effective as standard products such as Lysol, Ajax, or degreasers, for use under heavy conditions to remove harsh mildew, water, grease, and dirt stains--this is the trade off.
We use regular toilet bowl cleaner inside the toilet bowl. If you only want only green clean products used inside the toilet bowl please advise. Deep cleaning and green cleaning are done upon your request. And best of all, there are no extra fees; you just pay for the extra cleaning time.

The service was very professional and thorough. I can comfortably say with all the cleaning services in Chicago, this at the top. I have a dog that sheds a lot, so there was a lot of pet hair. Erica was able to get all of it from on and in between the couch to the baseboards. With using multiple other cleaning services in the past, I can say this is the best one by far. The manager was very fair and did everything he can to work around my schedule, I would highly recommend this services for all.

Maid for Chicago did an amazing job! Isidra and Veronica provided exceptional service and we are looking forward to our monthly cleaning service. Maid for Chicago has been by far the best cleaning service company we've found in Chicago. Loved that they showed up early and were friendly. They were also able to accommodate us on short notice, which is greatly appreciated. They generally did a good job wiping down our already fairly clean space. I followed up with a more thorough dusting and vacuumed a forgotten staircase after they left. I had also requested a green clean and they ended up using Clorox in the bathrooms due to one of the showers having tougher spots.
I would've preferred a gentler clean (even if not perfect) due to my allergies and having a young baby. Make sure whatever you request while booking is documented and repeat it to the crew before and during their work to ensure smooth sailing. The managing office is highly responsive, which is a plus. I would consider working with them in the future as needed and following my own advice mentioned here for 5/5 cleaning.

When they say it is clean and done, then it is clean and done 100% satisfaction. The staff is very approachable and mindful with every detail. My fiance scheduled a move in cleaning service with Maid for Chicago (deep cleaning for 3-3.5 hours with 2 people) in July 2018 after closing on our Condo in South Loop. He met them at the condo, paid and left. It was obviously his mistake to pay and leave them to clean but he trusted they were an honest business with good reviews. We assume they left the condo without cleaning anything. Update: this is not a fake review. It's from Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Invoice 4973-ST.
I was wrong in saying he paid for the cleaning on the cleaning day. He just left a cash tip. We didn't move in for another month. I wish I would have contacted the company earlier to fix the issue. Just posting so people know not all service from this cleaning company is 5 stars.

We have used maid for Chicago for both deep cleans and standard cleans and every time we are so satisfied. They work so hard and are efficient but thorough. We will definitely Be continuing to use this lovely company for years to come! They are on time, easy booking and great communication. Do yourself a favor and hire this company for their services.
We have a dog that we unfortunately let on our couch often and after the cleaning the other day our couch is spotless and it looks like we don't even own a dog : so grateful for their hard work!

Overall the crew did a very good job cleaning, they cleaned spaces that our prior cleaning service never touched and Maid for Chicago brought it to our attention that they cleaned it and it looked like it hadn't be touched in a long time. It was easy to book service and the communication was easy. We plan on using them regularly going forward.

OUTSTANDING. They have gone above and beyond on every service I've booked. They clean, dust and wipe down every inch of my apartment. They never take the easy route either. Today, I opened my fridge to a wiped down and organized fridge. I've booked them twice and will undoubtedly book in the very near future.

I needed a cleaner to come deep clean my apartment last minute and despite getting recommendations from my friends, all options had terrible reviews. So I took a chance on Maid for Chicago. And WOW when I got home I was blown away. My apartment was cleaner than it ever had been. The care and attention to detail was impressive to say the least. I will be recommending Maid for Chicago to all my friends when they need a deep clean!

Very disappointed with almost every part of my experience with this company. I am only writing this review after trying to work directly with the company first. I scheduled a move-in cleaning for the morning of my move at 9 am. I also specified what services I was looking to have done (including cleaning the inside of the fridge and oven). I live in a street whose name sounds a lot like another common street name when said aloud, so I spelled the street name for him (I know it confuses people when they aren't read the name, so I spell it out literally 100% of the time I give my address out over the phone).
The day of service and of my move, I got to my new place at 9 and waited for 45 minutes for the cleaners to arrive. Apparently Dan did not write down the correct street name or pay attention when I spelled it out and sent the cleaners to a wrong address. I literally had no spare time that day as I had to finish packing and get my old place cleaned out.
I wasted 45 minutes I didn't have sitting around waiting. When the cleaners texted me saying they were done I was only able to spare a few minutes to check the work, because of all the time I had wasted that morning waiting for them put me behind. It turns out they had not cleaned the inside of the fridge, so I needed to sit and wait for them to do that.
Even after all of this I still gave cleaners a decent tip because I didn't want to punish them for someone else giving them bad info. After they finished, I emailed Dan, my point of contact with the company, asking for a total price as the job had taken l as time than estimated. When he replied the next day saying it I would be charged for 2.5 hours when it was 2-2.25 hours at most, as I had to sit and wait for them to clean something I had requested, I was upset and emailed and spoke on the phone regarding how that was an overestimated time (and the cleaners did not provide me with the time sheet I was supposed to initial) and shared how badly a very difficult day was made by them showing up 45 minutes late. Also, after I moved in I found rooms they said they were able to fully clean were not clean (see pictures below).
To summarize my customer service interactions with Dan, he claims I am trying to get some for nothing, even though I am only asking to pay for the time cleaners were actually here (2.25 at most) despite the poor job which will mean me taking time to reclean those areas. He told me to send him pictures of the areas that were not clean, he did not really respond to the pictures and just charged me for 2.5 hours without us coming to any conclusion or understanding.
When I said I would be writing an honest review of my experience with his company, he said he would respond by publishing my full name and address. His company's "customer service " response apparently is to dox their customers if they don't leave a positive review. You may be more familiar with doxing as a tactic men often use against women online when they don't like what they have to say.
If the pictures attached look clean enough for you, if you don't care when cleaners arrive for a scheduled appointment, if you don't mind being overcharged (paying for time spent watching them clean something that should have been done prior to saying everything was done), and if customer service threatening to dox you by publishing you full name and address for an unfavorable review seems appropriate, I highly recommend this company. If not, I would go elsewhere.

I am sure everyone can relate to how difficult it is to find a good cleaning service. We've certainly tried multiple times when we moved to Chicago, and I think we finally found the dream team! Dan and Sue are top-notch and very prompt when requesting service. We used them at our old place, liked the service, and waited a few months to reach back out once we moved apartments.
In that process, we tried a handful of other services, and did not like the quality of their clean. The moment I reached back out to Dan, I got a quick response and picked back up right where we left off. I got to meet my cleaning crew today -- Ivan and Jorge -- and they were very nice guys. They asked for my feedback on their clean right as they finished it, so I was able to see if there was anything that needs sprucing up.
I don't normally stay in the house when my cleaning team is around to give them space to do their job, but I got stuck on a call today and they were very mindful of the noise as I tried to wrap up the call and head out. One thing to be mindful of -- and this is not a negative by any means -- they do charge by the hour (transparent hourly rates on the site) and have a 2-hour minimum, to make it worth the cleaning team's time.
So regardless of the size of your space, keep in mind that you are on the hook for a 2-hour cleaning minimum fee. This rate is competitive, as we found out after shopping around for a while, and the team doesn't rush through the job and takes their time. A personal favorite of mine is the fact that the cleaning team are employees of the company and are paid a living wage with insurance. I've already recommended Maid for Chicago to a few of my friends and co-workers. Thanks for the top-notch service!

Mari and Elizabeth are the best! They're so friendly, thorough, and professional. I've had 3 cleanings with this service so far (2 of them with Mari and Elizabeth) and they do an awesome job. They clean places I hadn't even thought about cleaning! Scheduling is really easy and the rates are fair. Dan is responsive and accommodating. I'll be scheduling a monthly cleaning now that I found such a reliable, quality service.

Why did I wait so long to get Maid for Chicago into my dusty home! The two professionals who serviced my condo were cheery and pleasant. I didn't have the opportunity to use any of my foreign language skills, because their first language is English. That made it easy to tell if they were agreeable and eager to please - priorities for me. Important, of course, was the fact that they got busy and knew what they were doing, then when I had a suggestion or request, they followed through with a good attitude.
I handed over a cluttered house coated in dust and hair; they returned to me two sparkling bathrooms, shiny knickknacks and spice bottles, and miles of wood flooring that I'm still slipping around on two weeks later. I want to book again within a month's time to get the discount, because I want to use that savings toward their well-deserved cash tip.

Maid for Chicago Review I tried so many times to make it work with this company because Dan the owner is a genuinely nice guy. But over and over again, problems arose. The first couple times, they did a really really great job but after that it just got worse and worse. For example, once I came home early and one of the employees was sitting on the couch on her cell phone.
The next time, they left scuff marks from a mop or broom handle on my pitches ceilings. During a separate cleaning, a part of my blinds was broken off. Another time, after noticing they didn't clean underneath the dressers and crib previously, I specifically asked Dan to make sure they did it for the next cleaning. Not only did they not, but someone threw away a reusable part of my diaper pail system when emptying the diaper pail (which they had never even touched in any of the previous cleanings).
This company is extremely inconsistent and does not pay attention to details. Often, it looked as if parts of the floor and bathrooms were not touched at all. Urine was left around the base of toilets, fingerprints left on appliances, and drip marks left on the floor. Outlet plugs were left in random places and things that were unplugged for vacuuming were not plugged back in. Dan talks a great game, but the devil is in the details and this company has proved over 3 years of cleaning my house that the quality of service does not match the cost to the customer.

I've been using them once a month now. And the two that come to my house do an awesome job. My wife and I enjoy doing puzzles often. And on a couple occasions we found pieces missing, or thought they were. If it weren't for these ladies, I'd definitely have given up puzzles a long time ago. Thank you, again and again.

Used Maid for Chicago for the first time last week and they did a fantastic job. They sent an email reminder the day before, answered all of my questions and the duo that did the cleaning were nice and very professional. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I'm already scheduling my next cleaning!

I was very satisfied with the service provided. My apartment wasn't in the cleanest condition when I moved in, but both maids did a great job getting through grease in the kitchen oven and stove and parts of the bathroom I've had a hard time cleaning. Now the apartment is as clean as a whistle! Will definitely use them again! :
