Russells Pest Control

The service tech, Jacob Honneycutt, provided a false inspection report on May 13th stating he performed our monthly seasonal pest treatment. He did not spray anything on the house or in the yard as reported and instead sat in his van for a few minutes before leaving. I contacted his manager, Spencer, who said he would look into it. I did not hear back from the manager for 3 business days and only because I called everyday. The only people who helped resolve the issue were the women answering the phone. The receptionist scheduled someone else to provide the service, not the manager.

I have been using Russell's Pest Control for several years on my home and other properties. They have always been good to respond and provide a high quality service. I just had my house's quarterly spraying and Ashley did a wonderful job. Sam is my usual service tech and he recently came out to eliminate 16+ mounds of fire ants. It worked and only have one mound remaining (not sure if new or if it was treated). Thanks to Russel's for helping take care of that problem!

I have battled mice ever since I moved to Knoxville in 2010. The technician knew immediately where the mice were getting into my attic, stopped their entrance and killed the mice already living there. He was efficient and very pleasant - I wish I had called Russell's 12 years ago. Service: Rodent extermination

Quarterly service performed for pest control. Professionally performed Termite inspection perforned for financial need. Technician came promptly and company provided report for personal financial need. I've had service for at least 8-9 years. Technicians aways prompt and professional. Company has assisted with specific needs (spiders, mouse, carpenter bees). The ladies in the office have always been friendly, helpful and professional.

I would never recommend Russell's for pest control. While their representatives are polite, they do not do a satisfactory job. They say they are coming and don't. Their work is less than effective.

Easy to schedule and work With these people. They are friendly and professional. The technician did a super inspection. She got her knee pads on and crawled under my house to inspect. I feel satisfied that my home is protected. Service: General pest inspection

They were recommended by a family member. I needed properties inspected and treated for termites. Mark texted me his ID badge so we knew who would be showing up. He came out for the inspections and was thorough and professional. Had services scheduled for 2 separate weeks but they were able to do both houses at the same time. Jeff came out to treat and install the Sentricon system. I'm signed up for yearly inspections so hopefully, I won't have issues in the future.

My husband and I purchased a home a year ago that has a sentricon system around the perimeter. Today a gentleman from Russell's (I didn't get his name unfortunately) came out for the annual inspection. We had a number of questions, since this was all new to us, and he was very patient and happy to educate us. He was pleasant to work with and didn't seem rushed (which I expected to an extent, with it being Saturday).

Our overly-friendly toddler even went up and handed him a piece of chalk, and the inspector took the time to draw him a smiley face. This gentleman is a great reflection of the company and his thoroughness, kindness and professionalism are the reasons they will continue to have our business.

My wife contacted Russell's Pest Control to assist us with a rodent/roach issue. We are so please with our choice of pest control provider. Josh came out to our home to take care of our problem. He explained everything he was doing and what to expect going forward. I learned more from this one visit than spending 2 years with our old pest control company. Even the office people were so polite and awesome to work with. Thank you Russell's Pest Control for helping my family!

So far I am a little disappointed with Russell's. We have been having trouble with rats and have done everything we can to no avail. We called Russell's and it took a week to come out for the initial appointment. I couldn't be here so my wife had to deal with the person who was here. She said he did go look around and under the house and said yep. you have rats.

He then Charged my wife $225 for the initial contract and didn't set out the first trap or even put some poison under the house. He told her someone would call the next day and they failed to follow through. Then my wife discovered he had applied her digital signature to two different contracts with two different amounts. She called the second day and was told they wouldn't be out until next week to provide any service.

I just can't believe that the technician left here with our hard earned money and provided little to no service and now we are locked in a contract and I have no reason to believe they they will follow through. Oh, and the rats are still destroying our home.

Looking forward to getting more business to them for other retail stores we facilitate in the area. Services: Spiders, Ants, Cockroaches

Critical: Professionalism They have only been out to apply inspect protectio twice this whole year. Their service person did not discuss what he had done or leave us any kind of list I was much happier when I put on Home defense myself. I will be canceling this service. I requested multiple times for appointment to be set up. Last Oct 2020 the tech showed up unannounced. We have had prowlers in the area; so when my security cameras went off I was concerned. I pay for services every 3 months - this month they called and set the appt for Thurs the 21st they called wanting to change it. I asked for it be done on. Monday the 24th then it was changed to thurs the 28th I told them I could not be at home at that time could the appt be later in the day.

They said NO. Rescheduled the appt for Fri the 29th. I told them I need to know a time frame, but they evidently don't understand I need the time frame so I can me home. Part of my yard is under lock and key due to my dog is in the fenced in yard. They terminated my services due to me saying I want to know ahead of time when they are coming.

Prompt service if you call for an additional spray with no hassles. Steve, my serviceman, comes on time, friendly and professional. Great company, and they rid my house of crawlies.

My exterminator was Brian. He was both down to earth in personality, and professional in his job at the same time. He is a great conversationalist and good at his duties. Its rare I need an exterminator to begin with, but he levels with you in personality and does his actual job well. I recommend this company and Brian personally

I have used Russell's for years and have nothing but good things to say about them. I bought an old cabin last year and had a roach problem. They came weekly until it was taken care of. Any time I call them, I get the service I need and if they have to come back, they gladly do. Over the last decade of using their services at 2 locations, I have not experienced one negative with this company.

Took care of the ants I had spotted in my kitchen years ago and I have not seen them in my kitchen since. Also good communication. Very friendly.

I do not recommend this company at all. They will 100% take advantage of you. We have squirrels. We hired this company to come out and take care of our squirrel problem. We paid half up front and was told that we would pay half at the end of the job. We were told that the tech would do an initial inspection inside both units and then set up traps, . patch some holes, and we had high hopes.

We were also told that the outdoor traps would be set up for 3-5 days to ensure the squirrels get out. The tech came out the first day on short notice and we didn't have our gate unlocked for him to do work, so I went home on lunch to open it for him and he never came back that day due to bad weather. Gary has been our tech this year and we have received excellent service. Sometimes I see a bug and just wonder what it is and ask and he is always super fast to respond and let me know what needs to be done. He is professional, courteous, and wants excellence because he knows pests would impact our customers. Absolutely impressed with Russell's!

I am surprised by the poor reviews. However, everyone has different experiences and some get burned along the way. If i were Russell's, I would hire someone to help with customer retention and be very careful on hounding people. Holding people to contracts is a bit much. Contracts are for companies that have retention issues past 6mo. If you want to stand head and shoulders above the rest, you must demand high quality service to your customers at no additional cost and your company will grow.

Maybe learn why Nordstrom's became so successful. The book is called "The Nordstrom Way". If you believe your company is great, stand behind it. Minus one star for the cost of service and holding people to pay out full contract. This is not how you treat people and it ends up hurting your company with negative reviews. It actually had me thinking twice about stating.

Read the reviews and stay as far from this company as you can. As others have stated, I would give zero stars if it were an option. Twice now they have said someone came and serviced our home and no one had been here. I work from home as well as have cameras. We are currently moving and our house has been sold. They won't terminate our contract.

They informed me that I could pay a cancellation fee, so I inquired what it was. You are never going to believe what I was told. It is the amount left owing on the contract! That isn't a cancellation fee, that is paying out the contract. I am not recommending them to the buyers or anyone else for that matter. I have informed them, in writing they are NOT to step foot on my property or renew my contract. I am extremely disappointed with them.

Always great service from Russell's. Steve is a fantastic service technician. He is always professional and answers any questions you may have. I definitely recommend them.

We hired Russells to deal with our ant problem and also decided to install termite bait traps. After repeated trips to our home to unsuccessfully treat the ants, we decided to cancel the treatments at the end of the contract. They would not accept the cancellation and kept telling us that we had to call back the next month. This happened three times.

By then our frustration was so high we cancelled all services. Nothing was said, but about three weeks later they came to remove the bait from our termite traps. We were never informed and when asked about why they were doing it they said we were not entitled to the continued protection it afforded and they threw the bait away. Extremely poor communication and not very effective treatment.

Dealing with Russell's since 1981. NO COMPLAINTS. Steve is an outstanding tech

Edit: whoever replies to the Facebook comments are nice though! And takes the time to listen to problems. So I won't let one person's rude behavior reflect the company. You might be a good pest control service but you have rude people that work for you someone flipped my sister off while driving. Really doesn't make me wanna call your business.

I have nothing bad to say about Russell's pest control. I Have used them all season after another company failed. Dead bodies everywhere! My communication with the company has been great and fast. I have called them once to come and spray again for a one mosquito that bit me. It was due for spraying the following two weeks. But they came out a couple days later.

Worst company ever. The guy never showed up on time; and twice, didn't show up at all. Always had an excuse. Management didn't seem to care. Wouldn't recommend in the least.

I would leave zero stars if that was an option. Poor communication and lack of accountability from sales woman, scheduler, and management. Not a pleasant experience! Further and perhaps more concerning, I have since contacted 2 other pest control companies and both advised the system proposed by Russell's is not the most appropriate treatment for my house. I will be proceeding with another company and highly recommend you do the same.

Terrible service, this company is a sham! Said our house was termite free! We got a second opinion due to inspector being here no more than 5 mins and guess what Orkin pest control found a whole mound of termites underneath our flooring that Russell pest control said was termite free! Also, the inspector left our gate open and let our dog loose so we spent most of the morning searching for our dog! What a careless and bogus company Russell pest control is.don't use Russell pest control Period!.absolutely ridiculous and a complete sham!

We have used Russell's since we moved to Knoxville seven years ago. In addition to our annual service, we have had to call them twice for yellow jacket nests. They make sure the job is successfully completed.

We had a slight infestation with some roaches at our home recently and decided after trying to handle the situation ourselves, to find a company to service our needs on a regular basis. We found that company.

Russell's Pest Control has done an excellent job for us on our log cabin for a number of years. Steve Davis has been to our place a number of times through the years and takes the time to make sure that not only every thing gets checked but takes the time to answer our questions as well.

Excellent service and price! I called a competitor and got a one-size-fits-all type of response. When I wanted service that was more in line with my needs, the competitor told me it would void the guarantee.

This company apparently performed some sort of pest control service on the property that we now own. It seems that the builder allowed them to do some soil treatment before we closed on the purchase of our house last year. Ever since, this company will not leave us alone. We started receiving bills shortly after moving in demanding payment to continue the service.

When we did not send payment, they started sending people out to our property to harass us. I have told them repeatedly that we are not interested in their service and to remove us from their list. We never signed up for their service and we sure as heck don't want it now, yet they continue to harass us. Just a little while ago, someone came out to our house again and knocked on our door.

These people will not go away. If this company doesn't stop harassing us, I may have to look into a restraining order (can you do that for a company?). Please avoid this company at all costs or else you may find yourself endlessly harassed by them too.

Have been customers of Russell's since 1985 and totally happy, satisfied with all services they provide that we have needed. Most current service rep was Sherry, she was very through in servicing all areas of house.

We have had Russell's Pest Control service our home for years and have been very happy with all the service personnel that have treated our home. Always courteous, always concerned about neatness when entering the house, and always willing to try to solve any pest issues that occur.

We purchased our home here in Knoxville, TN in 1997 and have been serviced by Russell's Pest Control since day one. They have always been very professional and have kept our home free of Termites. Over the years we have had several representatives and all have been courteous and professional.

Russell's pest control has been extremely responsive in eradicating bug problems at our cabin on Norris Lake.

My husband called Russell's Pest Control after we discovered we had termites in our home in Maryville, TN. Tim and Jim were very punctual with there arrival to the house. Tim serviced the exterior of the home and garage and explained what he was installing and how it worked.

Tony Ritch arrived to do my termite home inspection and was very pleasant. He showed me all the traps and inspected each one and explained what he was doing and looking for. Also, as we were walking around the house I pointed out those big yellow jacket bumble bees.

Randy just finished our spring inspection and, as always, he was pleasure to work with - it's like having a friend drop by and help you with a project. This time he discovered an issue with our central air ducting system, one of the primary ducts had broken lose and was pumping cold air beneath house - a good explanation for our recent high electric bills.

Brian Farnham was here this morning to help with our kitchen ant problem. Brian is very professional, friendly and helpful. I appreciate the quick service I received when I called yesterday to schedule this appointment.

Have been highly satisfied with Russell's Pest Control. Brian Farmer has been my technician for the last 2 quarters. It seems like he's always a set ahead of the pests. Very friendly and professional.

Joe Farmer was awesome, even brought my trash can up for me. Quickly serviced the area, asked if we had internal issues. Was a nice start to the day.
