I'm a 25 year veteran in the trades. I have worked extensively with Ben on many, many jobs. Many were technically difficult jobs, Every single one came out better than I thought possible. Ben is prompt, honest, extremely knowledgeable about his trade, and is one of the hardest working people I know. All of that is on top of perfect workmanship. He even did the flooring in my own house. Everyone else is competing for second place. He's the best. Full stop.

We have never seen a more beautiful floor. Ben has a true artist's eye and passion for hardwood floors. He listened to our style preferences and thought carefully about what wood to recommend. He helped us pick out a color that would match our furniture and fireplace colors, it turned out beautifully. Ben really cares about the final result, and cut in to the subfloor to make sure things wouldn't look weird when we do the next project (replacing our stair railing.) Not many contractors care about projects outside of their scope, but Ben was proactive, thoughtful, and went the extra mile without being asked. Oh!
He added in a few delighters like wooden vent covers stained to match the rest of the floor. He easily could have increased his margin by reusing what we had and we never would have known there was a more appealing option available. My mom wants him to come retrofit her floors- the details make a difference and Ben sure has an eye for the finishing touches. Ben works hard, putting in long days working straight through to minimize disruption.
He kept the workspace clean and tidy. That, combined with his friendly and professional demeanor, made us feel very comfortable having him in our home. We have young children, so that was important for us. The floor is stunning- I recommend him to anyone!
