We needed a new kitchen faucet installed. Gentleman was very nice and installed for us, but water pressure was significantly less than previous faucet. When asked about it, he said it was the faucet. Several months later, our handyman was here to fix other things and commented how it shouldn't be that way and may not have been installed correctly.

I called power and the woman who answered was extremely defensive and rude that it could not possibly be an issue on the install. Mentioned several times how she and her whole family were plumbers which didn't seem relevant to a customer service inquiry. Said they would send someone out to look but was adamant we would be charged. While our handyman was still here he took a closer look and there was sediment in the faucet head, indicating it was never cleared out as should've been when installed.

He was able to fix easily. Clearly a simple step was missed. Everyone makes mistakes but the horrible attitude and customer service upon us calling guarantees we will never use power plumbing again.

Power plumbing came to my rescue - building drain was clogged up - so other people sink and food were coming up into our sink. Not pleasant. I called Friday evening and they were round Saturday morning to fix the problem. Professional, response, and explained everything that was happening. I will. use them again. Service: Drain cleaning

This is a bad plumbing outfit. They charge extremely high prices for a less than adequate job -- they don't look for solutions and borderline rude in trying to figure out what to do about 'grey area' type problems. Poor experience overall! Not using again!

Warning this place charges by the hour not the job. They took advantage and charged me thousands of dollars when I needed emergency labor. Do not use them. I recently needed more plumbing work for a different non emergency project and after getting more quotes I received a free hour estimate and a reasonably fixed price for the work. when I asked them about doing work they tried to charge me extra to come out in the snow and the operator Ray was extremely rude. Please beware they are a rip off and I would def never use them again.

I recently used Power Plumbing and they impressed me so much I will be a customer for life. Not only were they able to come out same day and fix all my small projects around the house, the technician was quick to point out easy workarounds for many of my issues that not just resolved the issues, but saved me money. Recently I had another issue that I called them about, instead of sending out a tech and billing me- they reached out to their team with my issues and called me back to give me some instructions to try on my own to see if I could resolve it myself. Lo and behold, their tips were right and they saved me time/money/frustration once again. Honest, fast, great value- can't recommend them enough.

Recently had some work done in my bathroom -- older midrise building in Lakeview. The Power team was great. Very pleased with their work. Replaced Sloan value in the toilet, new faucets in the sink and then updated faucets, shower and tub spout in the shower tub. Doing work in a older building and retrofitting things to old plumbing, walls, tile etc is hard work and complex at times. They were vigilant in figuring thigs out, making sure things work properly -- a quality team and responsive.

Had a great experience. From working with Rae to schedule and follow up, to James who was great.personality, knowledge and ability. Two other plumbers couldn't fix my problem. James didn't hesitate to dig in to the problem. Worked efficiently and explained everything to me. My problem is solved and I have a new company to go to for future work.

These guys were our second quote for getting the shutoff valves fixed under our kitchen sink and for our toilet, and not only were they better priced than our first quote with Apex, they were more responsive and followed up with us better as well. The plumber, Tony, who was sent to our house, really knew his stuff. He showed up half an hour early to the appointment to look at the valves to make sure that he brought the right parts; time we weren't charged for.

He was done in an hour and a half, despite the fact that I had no idea where our building water main shut off valve was (and he helped me find because he had an idea where it would need to be). He was friendly and professional, and offered to fix a couple other problems that we had while he was there, but was not pressuring when I declined. The valves that he installed are better quality than the ones that we had before, which is important because if the valves fail in our flat, we have to shut off water for the whole building in order to get them fixed. Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with both the administrative department and the service. Everything is working perfectly. I would definitely call them again if we have any plumbing problems in the future.

They were really easy to schedule and Brian did a great job. He took care of everything and left the bathroom clean. I would definitely use them again.

This place is a gem, and their office staff Rhea is so lovely. We had a couple big issues this summer and have been so frustrated with other providers, but this company was always quick and thorough and nice. Services: Find & repair leak, Repair pipe, Installation

AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! After making an appointment for a camera scope for my drain, two service people came and said they I needed a trap installed which I told them ahead of time I wanted them to access before doing anything, They confirmed that a trap needed to be installed and that I need to call back and set up another appointment and they couldn't help even with time scheduled already.

Also even though they didn't do a camera scope they wouldn't leave without taking $200 for being inside my home for 10 minutes without doing anything. (They charge minimum $400 for one hour of camera scope with $90 for each 15 minutes afterwards) Two other companies afterwards told me I got screwed over. Please please avoid this company and their predatory ways of service.

These guys are terrific. It's easy to reach them and they are quick to respond. Scheduling was easy and they followed up to confirm the appointment the day before. Their plumbers were friendly, extremely professional and clearly knew what they were doing. They arrived on time and spread drop cloths in the area where they were working. They. actually left the place cleaner than they found it.

They replaced an old kitchen sink and faucet for me and helped me every step of the way - from figuring out the logistics of what size and kind of sink I needed, to having it shipped to them so they could bring it with when them came. Plus going above and beyond to run to Home Depot to replace the sink when it turned out to be cracked in the box. (And making sure it fit before they removed the old sink.) I'm hoping not to have an plumbing issues anytime soon but I'm happy to have found Power Plumbing. Highly recommend.

Installed 15k flood control system 6 years ago, have flooded every year since. First time power plumbing came out to check, they said we didn't service annuals so our fault. Fair enough, had serviced. Next time said there was stick blocking flap, our fault again, paid 300+ to service. Next time the outdoor extension cord they ran from pump to outdoor outlet wasn't working and they said we should have had it hardwired, our fault again.

They reconnected cord, said pump working fine, and I have electrician scheduled to come in the next week. Flooded again. 3 days after power plumbing came out to service. Checked the pump they told me was working fine 3 days ago and it's not working at all. I'm sure they'll say it's my fault again. If you want to pay tens of thousands of dollars to continue to flood, power plumbing is your place.

Power plumbing has always delivered top notch service. I feel Ray and the crew who she schedules also go out of their way to explain my options and how my plumbing systems, water heaters, etc. work. They are honest, professional and accommodating.

Always responsive, reasonable prices, and I do believe they try to save you money where they can, happy to not need plumber so often, but when I do it's nice to have them in the neighborhood.

I had an issue with my shower that I thought needed a valve adjustment. Huge project, removing tiles on the wall and cutting into wall for access. Ugh! Tony came out, diagnosed the problem and was tenacious on getting a solve without having to cut into the wall. Viola, we needed to replace cartridge and blow out some clogs in the piping! Shower works better than ever!

This saved me hundreds of dollars and aggravation. This company has impressed me so much! They are honest, reliable and the communication I received leading up to the appointment was world class! Thank you to Tony and Power Plumbing! Big fan now, I will tell all my friends!

I was a little doubtful at first. I had reached Power Plumbing through Plumbers911, and the overnight answering service they used was unhelpful and a little rude. Luckily when Ray called back the next day, things were dramatically better. Bob was able to help out later that afternoon and was extremely friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to explain what he was doing and instructed me on how to do some basic servicing and repairs of my own. I'm glad I was able to find them, and I'll definitely be calling them in the future with any plumbing needs.

Angel arrived on time, evaluated the problem with my leaking toilet, and gave me the reasonable fix as opposed to the $1,000 unnecessary one. He even repaired my other toilet which had issues with flushing and the water filling up the bowl. I would totally call Power Plumbing again and request Angel. Reasonable prices and quality work.

Ray is a great manager and Bobby is a professional plumber who knows everything about pipes, sewer, jetting, etc'. I first used the service of Power Plumbing over 10 years ago. They were recommended by the company who serviced my kitchen cabinets. I had always wanted a dishwasher and had been told by 3 different plumbers that it couldn't be done because of the location of my pipes. Jason from Power Plumbing came to my home and stated calmly, "It can be done." In the 8 years that I had that dishwasher I never had a problem.

And so when I decided to upgrade my appliances, I called Power again and requested Jason. Once again Jason installed my new dishwasher with no problem. Over the past years whenever I have had a plumbing issue I do not hesitate to call Power Plumbing. Each service technician has not only been professional, but courteous and respectful of my home. And that is very important to me.

Although I have never met Rae personally, I feel that she is committed to making sure her customers are satisfied and goes that extra mile to insure that is the final result. I most definitely recommend this company!

Promptly responded to our after hours emergency! Our plumber, Angel, took time to review and explain the problem and fix it. Then he made sure we were able to get the space back to normal (helped move washer, dryer and get water cleaned up). He then even went with us to confirm that our downstairs neighbor (who had been affected by the problem) felt confident in the solution. Angel lived up to his name! I will definitely use Power Plumbing again and highly recommend!

Power Plumbing has been very quick to give us excellent, friendly service for many years. They are also great neighbors. Would recommend them to anyone.

I had a lousy experience with Power Plumbing. Here's why: 1. The Power Plumbing team found that the main line was clogged with tampons and this was the main issue. However, I had another clog happen 1 week later, so I called out another service (I couldn't afford another $1K) that rodded the line (for 1/4 of the Power Plumbing price) including a camera scope and they found a collapsed drain line. 2.

The other plumbers that came out the 2nd time said the 1st rodding was not a great job, as there were still tree roots in the pipes. So I'm lead to believe the 1st job wasn't done thoroughly. 3. The Power Plumbing team couldn't have been at the house for longer than 2-3 hours and it cost over $1K--and the main issue wasn't figured out or fixed.

I kind of understand charging a flat fee, but this is a ton to pay for a mediocre rodding service without identification of the solution. 4. They mentioned that there's tons of sediment, but my other plumber totally disagrees and I basically see the base of the catch basin, so I'm not sure about this either. Overall, I would not recommend this service.

We woke up in -18 degrees to find our water service pipe frozen and burst. Rae at Power Plumbing rearranged the schedule and sent Joe out within the hour. Two hours later, our pipes are repaired and water back in service. Our experience couldn't have been more positive!

First of all, I called the company at 9:30 am. I was barely out of the shower and dressed when they showed up at the door at like 10:15. We had some minor plumbing repairs; leaky toilet, running toilet, slow draining sink and drains that were never properly installed in the bathrooms. Fixed in a jiffy, no problem. However, our downstairs pump was the major issue.

Determined source of leak in 1st floor shower & provided a short term solution; replaced fill valve service kit in 1st floor toilet tank; reset the toilet in the basement bathroom; inspected dishwasher line & provided useful advice to correct installation error. Power Plumbing rocks!

I usually don't write reviews, which should say something as to how pleased I am with this service. I had John Morzy from Power Plumbing come install a faucet, which is simple, but the way he did it was as perfect as could be. He was on time, took off his shoes, had fun stories while he was working, worked quickly. He even fixed my shower head, which turned out it was just clogged.

Thanks to Bob and Scott for coming out 1st thing and saving us! Power Plumbing a priceless company! See you when it's over 32 degrees.

I had a water leak to the unit below me after 22 years of living in my condo.

They saved us and fixed a drain under our house that was clogged by a root. They were out within 2 hours and everything was fixed in another 2 hours. They also explained everything to me so now we know what to do so the problem doesn't happen again!

Had a hot water faucet in my main floor bathroom would only turn on if you fiddled with it for 2 - 3 minutes like you were opening a safe. Very little water pressure. The drain in the same tub was very slow. Angie's List needs an A+! These guys were great. John was the representative that came to my home. He was fantastic. Everything you want in a service person that comes to your home.

Bob from Power Plumbing. He came out to give my condo association a comparative quote for some work on a pipe under my unit. He identified the pipe might not be in use. We need to do a little further investigation, but it looks like if we don't need to get the work done, it will save the building $7k!

Power provides the best and most experienced plumbing service in Chicago. I wish all service providers could be half as good as Power.
