I had a lock with a code panel on it and no key. He said it would be $150 to rekey. Figured that is probably slightly less that it would be to replace it so had him come out. He removed it and said he couldn't do it, so I asked him to put a standard dead bolt on, no bells and whistles. Still charged me $150 : Guess I should have asked first what it would cost and not assumed it would be cheaper.

Should have done myself. Response: Actually, the owner said none of those things to me. The only thing he said to me besides he couldn't rekey my lock was "who was the lady I talked to on the phone?" after he was well underway installing the deadbolt. Just to be clear this was only a $10 deadbolt not the handle/deadbolt combo and no retrofitting or drilling required.

Just 2 screws and 5 minutes. Also, this was not an emergency appointment. It was scheduled days in advance during business hours. But as I said, I should have asked and not assumed the price would be less.

These people are great affordable came out on the weekend on time got my truck started in minutes I need a key chip called other place and they gave me the run around and wanted way to much I recommend this company 100 percent

This guy consider since you have a locksmith but he'll only work on certain locks. I ride a motorcycle I needed my lock changed for a lot of the key he said he won't work on motorcycles I said you're not working on the motorcycle you working on the lock you're a locksmith he said I don't like motorcycles or people that ride them. Now that is really really bad guys like this we should put out of business. Nobody go to this place he's prejudice

He was very quick. He came out the same day. Spent 5 minutes completing the job. Had all the parts with him. Showed me he did the job correctly. He was in and out. I would recommend him!

I called for assistance this morning and the technician was very responsive. He was able to get me a new key fob fairly quickly. My battery had also died so he even gave me a jump. Excellent service all around!

I called American Locks primary # asking if they had key blanks for their locks. The gentleman on the phone spent over 10 mins working with me to figure exactly which of the 2 blanks I needed. He told me exactly what to ask for when calling a locksmith to get a copy. Very pleasant. Excellent customer service!

Good service. We have a keypad lock for our back storage area, and for some reason, it was broken, and we couldn't find the backup key. Whoops! I found America's Lock and Key through yelp and called up Efi. He answered the phone and said he'd show up after 2PM that day but would call ahead. Well, he didn't call ahead, but since we were expecting him around 2PM, my husband was listening for the doorbell. Efi showed up, and within 30 seconds, he had opened up the lock.

He suspected that the lock was low on batteries, which is why it was broken. He billed us $75, which I think is the South Tampa/Bayshore price, but we were so relieved to be able to get into the storage building that we happily paid.

I hired Efi to re-key all my locks after I bought my house. He showed up on time, did a great job, and was very professional throughout the whole process. I highly recommend America's Lock and Key.

I reached out to America's Lock and Key to get a Keyfob Replacement for my Nissan Altima. Ephey came out the same day within a few hours. He was able to program my car with no problems and was able to produce a house key when he was done. I really appreciate their friendliness, quickness, and concern for the customer. The gentleman responded to my request within seconds of my inquiry and at my home within the hour. He provided great service. He made sure that both key fobs and key worked once programmed. He even gave me a really fair price. I would highly recommend this company.

Due to issues with my closing on a Friday afternoon, I had to reschedule having the locks on my new home changed. I contacted them late Friday and was able to love the appointment from first thing Saturday to late Monday morning which allowed all of the official paperwork to be filed. Aside from the flexibility, the service was amazing. 2 locks were re-keyed and a deadbolt was added to one of the doors. He was timely, super friendly and professional. He even walked me through changing the code on my keyless lock. Definitely a 5 star company!

Efi is great, he responded to my Yelp request almost immediately with a quote. There was some initial confusion with pricing when he arrived (he quoted me for 4 locks but I have 7). He assured me there was no pressure to move forward and was transparent about his rate by showing me previous receipts. I am a curious person when it comes to how things work, he answered all of my novice lock questions and didn't mind me watching what he was doing. I would use him again for any future lock needs.

So let me paint this picture for you: Friday night, pup on the leash, storm on the horizon, and we're headed out for a quick walk. In true Florida fashion, the skies open up only moments after leaving the house AND we've locked ourselves out. We give them a call and he shows up minutes later. It was pouring! He worked fast and got us inside and dry in no-time. High quality work and honest. Hopefully we don't need to use them again, but will if the time comes.

Efi deserves every one of his 5 star reviews. He was extremely responsive and professional. He is also the fastest locksmith I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He installed a new digital keypad lock and rekeyed two others for a home we just closed on. I don't think it took him more than 15 minutes to work his magic. I will definitely be utilizing his services again.

America's Lock and Key is the company you should use if you're looking for a quality locksmith company - would give them six stars if I could! Efi, the owner, was punctual, knowledgeable, and offered fair prices during a job for two lock re-keys and one lock install. Efi was incredibly flexible with his schedule and explained the new locking system he installed along with future maintenance requirements (battery changing and combo changing). He did it all in under half an hour! He even helped me change my garage door keypad pin at no charge! Thanks again, Efi.

I had an emergency lock issue that took place at the last minute. I found this place on Google and decided to give him a try. He was very diligent in finding the issue and when he found it he finished the job in a timely manner.

Called them this morning and Efi was there within the hour. So grateful for his help and to top that he was honest with us. A good locksmith is hard to find and we found it.

I locked myself out of my house on a rainy day, I called America's Lock and Key, and they came to my home in less than 10 minutes. He was very professional nice, and was able to unlock my door very easily.

A sketchy guy named Chris came to my house. His square reader wouldn't read my card so I had to go to the atm down the street. I asked him to get out of my house so I could go get the cash. He refused to leave my house and started recording me in my own house!

If you ever get locked out of your car this is the place to call. It would have cost me around $600 to take my scion to Toyota and have the computer reset. They did everything they had to help me and get me back on the road.
