Mulch makes your flowerbeds & landscape beds look great - but it does so much more. It also retains moisture, slows down weed growth, provides nutrients, controls erosion, reduces soil compaction, and insulates the soil, protecting plants from extreme temperature variations. Organic mulches also improve the condition of the soil.
As these mulches slowly decompose, they provide organic matter which helps keep the soil loose. This improves root growth, increases the infiltration of water, and also improves the water-holding capacity of the soil. Organic matter is a source of plant nutrients and provides an ideal environment for earthworms and other beneficial soil organisms.

Jamie & Dillon we're beyond kind, knowledgeable, and professional. We ordered 8 cubic yards of mulch and had it delivered. Everything from start to finish was smooth and easy. The delivery driver was respectful of our property and placed the mulch exactly where we had instructed. They have a wide variety of mulch, gravel, and stone. We were so pleased we came back and ordered 8 more cubic yards of mulch and two large river boulders.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone. There are several companies out there but I would choose this one again and again! They're prices are fair and their customer service can't be beat!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! I ordered 5 cubic yards of their garden soil at $54 per for a total of $270 + $80 delivery fee. When the driver dropped off the soil it appeared short to me which the driver stated he loaded it himself with a 2 cubic yard bucket, two full and a half to total 5. To satisfy my doubts I built a surround with plywood so I could measure it accurately and feel that I got my money's worth.
After constructing the container and measuring, my suspicions were right. The volume was 4.25 cubic yards, short.75 yards. I took pictures with tape measure dimensions and contacted Southern Mulch and spoke with Dylan the assistant manager about the shortage. He instructed me to send him photos, which I did, and he'd talk with me about it tomorrow.
I did as instructed and he called me back and said he didn't think it was short but his manager agreed to give me a $25 store credit to shut me up. He then told me he loaded the soil himself using a one cubic foot bucket and he knew it wasn't short. These people need to get their lies right before they speak with customers. The shortage was $40.50 in value plus the delivery fee portion accounted for $12 so my calculations total $52.50.
The $25 store credit was a sad attempt to make me go away and I refused the offer. These people are crooks please don't give them any business, unless you like to be cheated! I'd give them zero stars if I could. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.

Called in the morning about dry stack stone and inquired about price and size of rocks. I even asked if they loaded the pallets so there should have been no doubt that I was coming to get a pallet of dry stack stone. However after I went to the trouble to hook up my trailer and drive across town to Southern Mulch only then did I find out he had no dry stack stone at all.
He tried to sell me something else that was not dry stack stone and explained that he was having trouble getting rock. What a waste of my time. I will not be going back to Southern Mulch. I went to the guy in Fairforest and bought my stone and he had a whole lot full of nice rock.

Thank you Southern Mulch for raising your prices unexpectedly over the weekend. You went from $36 per cubic yard of garden soil on Saturday (when I left a message that I wanted 5 cubic yards) to $41 on Monday (when I called to see about scheduling a delivery). Your 14% increase caused me to seek out another place for supplies. Thankfully, Upstate Landscape Supplies had a much better price for both the garden soil and the delivery fee, which I would never have known about if it weren't for your pricing shenanigans. Much appreciated!

Southern Mulch has good quality, fresh products. Their locally manufactured compost and soil is amazing! I save money purchasing by the cubic yard rather than bags. They offer delivery so it saves time when I can just call in the order and have it delivered while I am at work. Great all round experience!

I am a 16 year old boy scout, and for my eagle scout project, I decided to plant 15 apple and plum trees for homeless people in Spartanburg. Southern Mulch offered to donate all the mulch I needed for free! They even delivered it to the place where I planned to plant them for free as well. The mulch was in top condition and so easy to work with, it made a group of Boy Scouts look like professional landscapers. I can't thank them enough for their generosity and quality!
