Critical: Quality Dropped off my area rug to be cleaned. They kept it 5 weeks. I picked it up today and it honestly doesn't look any cleaner than when I dropped it off. I will not be using them again. Service: Clean area rugs

By far the worst company I have ever worked with. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT call this company. They ruined my carpets and were unprofessional and when issues arose, they blamed it on me and took no responsibility. Do not hire this company, they are terrible. I've worked in customer service my entire life and I've never seen anything like this.

Ace was great! We had a water leak in our kitchen earlier this summer and of course water spread into the living room on brand new WHITE carpet. They managed to get the whole stain out and saved us from possibly have to replace the carpet. I've used them for years and will continue to do so!

I dropped off my Crate and Barrel carpet to be cleaned - with two kids under 2 and a dog it was absolutely filthy! Lots of stains, including red stains from berries and food crusted in. Carpet came back looking BRAND NEW. I am amazed at the difference. Worth every penny. I'm glad I decided against replacing it and just opted to spend the money to clean it.

Great folks here! Did a very good job on an old rug we had, agree not the cheapest service in the Triangle, but remember, you get what you pay for. Will be using them for a few other smaller rugs we have in storage.

I have had my persian rugs for over 35 years and typically get them cleaned, and repaired as needed, every 3-4 years. We moved here from TX about 3 years ago and had rugs serviced just before the move. Ace has cleaned and repaired the fringe on one of them at half the price I paid in Dallas and the workmanship and cleaning were top notch. I will be using them again for sure.

Not sure what happened with a few of the negative reviews - but if you're unhappy, not sure why you'd wait to write about it on Yelp vs. giving them the chance to make it right first? Anyhow - I had a great experience with Ace. I found their staff to be very friendly and helpful - upfront, with no games or gimmicks. They gave me a fair price to cut and bind 4 rugs from a carpet remnant.

The craftsmanship was excellent. Also, I have no problems with them putting a small label on the back of each rug - that'll help me remember who did it 10 years from now, lol!

WOW! I decided to invest a substantial amount of $$ with Ace Rug Cleaners to repair, clean and replace the fringe on an oriental rug. I also paid for pick-up and delivery and replacement of the old pad. To my delight, the rug was delivered back to me in tip top condition. I was so pleased with the finished product. Additionally, the 2 gentlemen who. picked up and delivered the rug were very careful, very considerate and bent over backwards to make certain the new pad and rug were placed just how I wanted them to be. I'm a very satisfied and grateful customer. This time honored business has NEVER failed to disappoint.

I would like to ask ACE why on earth they glue their own label on a Persian Carpet? I paid for the service you provided, not to advertise permanently for your company. Tacky, tacky. Do a quality job, charge a fee, and move on.

These guys are great~! Our dog was sick yesterday and couldn't wait till we got home, and made quite the mess in one of our our carpeted rooms. I called ACE this morning and they were able to come out same day! Their customer service was very friendly and accommodating, and the technician who cleaned our carpet was great - very thorough! I have recently on two occasions used Ace Rug Cleaning Company; first to clean and "package" two oriental rugs for storage, and second, to bind another oriental rug. On both occasions they did an excellent job! Really first rate! Rates were reasonable. I will continue to use their services in the future. Highly recommend.

I've used Ace on 2 separate occasions in the last year. They have cleaned an area rug after our son had a stomach virus, and you would never even know it happened. They suggested a ScotchGard treatment, which I opted for, and I am so happy I did!

Friendly, good service. Paid extra to get ugly spots out of the fringe and they did a good job. No spots now. We've used this business for almost 20 years. We keep coming back to them because they do a good job.

I'm leaving a two star review rather than a one star since I did not personally interact with them. Also, they didn't totally ruin the rug, although the repair is quite obvious. My boyfriend, who lives much closer to Ace than I, took the rug in and picked it up. I selected Ace because of all the good reviews and supposed reputation for being able to repair fine rugs. That's why he handled it rather than me.

I assumed from all the positive reviews that this company actually did stellar work and was THE place in the Triangle to get rugs repaired. My young dog chewed about 2 inches of the binding from a silk rug from Pakistan that I was given as a gift. She probably got some of the rug under the binding, too. I'm not sure, but the chewing was not extensive.

In my mind's eye, I was expecting that the binding could have been redone by binding / sewing it over the rug fabric and the repair might have been mostly unnoticeable except for the rug might have been indented a little at this place, which was right next to the fringe anyway. Ace looked at the damage and quoted $80 for the repair. The reason for the high price, I was told was because they'd have to dye some yarn to match the color of the binding.

This price seemed high but what was I to do? So I agreed to proceed. Rather than rebind the place the dog chewed, Ace glued about 2 inch by 3 inch square of some kind of semi firm backing material to the back of the rug. They then GLUED the "binding" yarn to this backing and the front of the rug by looping the yarn back and forth - front to back at the edge of the rug using a big hunk of glue rather then binding the yarn through the backing material and rug edge.

It looks awful. I certainly could have done this my own self rather than pay an "expert" $80 to do it. I don't even use the rug anymore because I dislike the repair so much. Also, the yarn they dyed to match is only about 85% match. I'd not have mentioned this last detail, since I'm sure it's hard to match dye color - but they wanted $80 because they had to dye the yarn so one would think it would match.

To conclude, just because a company gets great reviews doesn't mean they really do good work. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. It was my mistake for trusting the reviews.

Don't use these people. Not sure how they've been in business 50 years as they won't stand behind their work. Brought two rugs in to be cleaned and repaired. Five weeks after dropping them off owner repaired the wrong rug, then not only refused to refund the repair charge but was rude and condescending on the phone - this after admitting the mistake.

Much to my dismay, our daughter accidentally spilled a pint of orange acrylic paint on a 3' x 10' oriental runner. After my wife and I sopped-up as much of the paint as possible, we were left with an orange stain and depressed spirits.

My daughter's classroom rug looks brand new! I didn't think it would be possible to get two years worth of stains out, but you did it! Thank you!

Awesome service, great people, and a family business. I can't say enough good things about how well they know their job and how to help me out. I just love dealing with Ace! It's in a strip mall next to Signs Now on Atlantic and Hodges, so go see them and get the same great service I do! Drop your rugs off in front, or talk to them about pick ups! We had a sisal rug that had a water stain. We wanted to know if it could be cleaned and removed or what the options were to have it cut down to remove the spot. The woman who worked there was of little help in navigating our options and seemed uninterested in having us as customers. She was incredibly rude. We decided to have the rug fixed elsewhere. I would not recommend going here.

I have been a loyal customer of Ace Rug Cleaning for three years. I have found their customer service to be exceptional. We have three dogs and therefore have our wool rugs and sofa cleaned annually by Ace. I appreciate the pick up and delivery service and the meticulous and thorough cleaning and care. The rugs and furnishings always look refreshed after their work. I give Ace my highest recommendation.

We used Ace once to replace some carpet that had worn out on our stairs. We were very happy with the service and carpet replacement, so we decided to contact them again for additional basic replacement/cleaning services. I called and spoke with Jennifer to get more information and set up a time for them to come out and give us a quote. While I was speaking with Jennifer, she actually interrupted me several times to say we would be better off finding someone "local" to do the work. Jennifer's attitude and suggestion that we hire someone else local really took me by surprise. Is Durham not local to Raleigh?

I wanted to use Ace again because they did good work the first time. Unfortunately, Jennifer determined Ace did not want the work. I will NEVER contact them again! It's a shame that the lady answering the phone is running off wanna-be repeat customers.

I ended up with a pet stain on my favortie rug. I tried to clean it myself but that didn't go so well. I asked a friend for some advice and they suggested I try Ace. I'm glad I did. The staff was helpful and they got the stain out. It was definately worth the trip.

I recently had Ace Rug Cleaning come clean the carpets in my home and I was very impressed. I've used other companies in the past but I was very pleased with how courteous and informative the staff was prior to my visit. I had a few tough stains they warned me might not come out, but actually it was much better than expected. The technicians arrived they were prompt and thorough. I'll be doing business with them again.
