Kitchens Made Simple

We LOVE our new kitchen! We took out a partial wall to make the kitchen and dining room one space so it feels so much bigger. The design of the cabinets allows for more storage space and there's a cool cabinet on the one end that's cut at a slant which allows more space for maneuvering around the corner and through a doorway. The cabinets are excellent quality and the quartz countertops and tile backsplash coordinate perfectly with them.

Even the cabinet door handles are perfect. Andy was very helpful with the design, showing us options for cabinets, countertops, etc. and listening to what was important to us. All the costs were listed out so we knew exactly what we were paying for each step of the renovation. Doug and Elvir did a great job of letting us know what to expect and when.

There was very little time when something wasn't being done. While we waited for the countertop to be cut, they worked on other things. Everyone that came to do the work was very nice and respectful when they were in our house. We highly recommend Kitchens Made Simple. It was a great experience!

Just as their name implies, Kitchens Made Simple really does make remodeling your kitchen as simple as possible. They transformed our old, out dated kitchen into a more modern, usable space, while maintaining the character and charm of our craftsman style home. Unlike other companies that only design and replace your cabinets, Kitchens Made Simple has professional, very skilled designers and contractors (sub-contractors, too) in-house that are capable of completing a full remodel.

Our project required gutting everything to the studs, replacing the sub-floor, flooring and updating the original 1920's wiring and plumbing to code. When we started with Kitchens Made Simple, they were very helpful in developing a kitchen plan that met our needs, but also offered a lot of insight to improve upon the ideas we had. Once the plan was agreed upon, they developed a cost estimate, but were not overly aggressive in getting us to sign the contract.

Their itemized estimate also sets them apart from other contractors. Every item was individually priced out (not a one-lump sum total that had you guessing what was included, or if you were being overcharged for certain things). They did not go over budget, because they had thought of every aspect from start to finish. Before our project began, the project manager met with us and gave us a detailed schedule/timeline of when our project would begin, what steps would be completed each week, and when we could expect it to be finished. It ran like clockwork and there were no surprises. Everyone was so easy to work with. We receive so many compliments and could not be happier with the end result.

Our remodel is absolutely fantastic! Now that we have had a few days to live in it, we are able to appreciate the form and function of the project. Everything from design, communication, workmanship, quality, detailing, etc. has exceeded our expectations. We love the look, flow, convenience, amenities, and layout. The whole remodel came out exactly (and even better!) than we envisioned it. KMS was so attentive to every little detail throughout this process, patient and considerate with every question or concern that we had, and were completely professional and reliable. They completed the work on time and precisely within budget. We love, love, love it!

I retired in 2018, and had been saving to remodel the kitchen in my condo that was built in 1981. Doing some research, I learned of KMS through a friend who's neighbors had used KMS and were very happy with the results. Daniel from KMS came to my home, and I discussed my vision for the remodel. After our meeting, I visited the KMS showroom in Roseville we finalized the remodel.

The remodel included completely gutting the kitchen, adding hardwood flooring throughout the kitchen, dining and living rooms. New Starmark cabinets, Cambria countertops and a backsplash. I also had my ceiling updated as a knockdown ceiling and LED ceiling lights installed. Additionally, I had the wood trim throughout the kitchen, living/dining rooms and hall replaced, and all rooms painted.

The KMS team of Doug, Rob, Daniel, Betsy, Mark, and Brandon were all wonderful to work with during my remodel. Loved their attention to detail, especially when someone like me had questions. Their answers and suggestions were very helpful. The KMS team of subcontractors for the electrical, flooring and ceiling were also A-1 to work with in my opinion.

As a result of my remodel, my condominium is now up to 2019 standards, and I couldn't be more pleased (just ask family and friends who have visited since it was completed). I will also be recommending friends looking to remodel their kitchen to KMS. Keep up the good work!

We hired Kitchens Made Simple (KMS) to extensively remodel our first floor in October 2019. The scope of the project included an entire kitchen remodel (down to studs), moving walls, and flooring. In short, we honestly could not be more happy with the decision to hire KMS. It is, unfortunately, uncommon these days to find contractors that do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, for the price they said they would do it for.but that is exactly what we got with KMS.

The entire crew (Daniel/ Doug/Andy/Brandon) and all sub-contractors were highly professional, respectful, clean, and are excellent craftsmen. Our project was completed on-time, on-budget, and looks absolutely fantastic. Now, over one year later, we continue to be impressed with the quality of work and have absolutely no complaints. A couple times after the project was completed we reached out to KMS to come fix/adjust something (not due to faulty workmanship), in each case they were back out within days to make sure the issue was fully resolved to our satisfaction. Candidly, the after-project follow-up that KMS offers is among the most impressive elements of the company.

They stand behind their work. Remodels are a pain to live through, no matter who you hire. As for me, KMS made the project not only bearable, but enjoyable. They have earned our repeat business (without question) and our referrals.

Working with Elo and his team was a great experience. The details they bring to the design and the kitchen layout was amazing and the install was with flawless and tailored to our home.

KMS just finished our gorgeous kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier with the customer service or the remodel itself. Doug, Rob, and the team were great at keeping our project on task, communicating with us, and were trustworthy/easy to have around the house. We found the pricing to be fair and quality of the work exceptional. We would not hesitate to use KMS again and highly recommend them.

We love our kitchen! KMS was a pleasure to work with. Doug and Daniel did a fabulous job installing and our kitchen looks great. They were cheerful everyday, and everything was always cleaned up when they left so the disruption of having a kitchen torn out was as minimal as it could possibly be.

Our very small kitchen had been renovated more than 25 years ago, with custom-made white cabinets, black-and-white tiled countertops and a peninsula. I wanted to get rid of the peninsula, add more cabinets, and create a pass-through to the dining room with countertop and seating - all on a tight budget. Nancy's ingenious design provided all that, and lots of style as well.

Everyone who walks into our new kitchen says Wow this is terrific! We asked Kitchens Made Simple to update our 1976 kitchen without changing the footprint of the house and they did, indeed, turn it into a wow kitchen that is more efficient and easy to prepare meals in.

KMS installed our beautiful kitchen (along with a large price tag) and it is quality craftsmanship. Their cabinetry is beautiful, and they incorporated all of our "kitchen wishes" into the final product. However, a final piece involving a design error on their end that they insisted we pay for has somewhat soured my opinion of this company. During the remodel, our new ceiling fan was reinstalled in the same place we had it before by the electrician, except now there were going to be upper cabinets for the ceiling fan blades to contend with so it should not have been reinstalled in it's former spot.

The upper cabinets had not been installed yet so it was hard to get a true visual idea of where they were going to be and the exact dimensions. KMS faulted the electrician and us as homeowners for not knowing exactly where the cabinets were to go and knowing that the fan should have been installed in a different location, about 2 feet further up on the ceiling.

No KMS foreman was on site at our home when the fan was installed. That's what we paid BIG bucks for - to have the designer/foreman tell the electrician where things should go, not us. Fast forward to our kitchen being completed and its clear that you can't open one set of upper cabinets without physically climbing up on a step stool to move the blades of the fan so the cabinet door opens without hitting the fan blades.

They wanted us to fully absorb the $200 fee for relocating the ceiling fan. Not alot of money, BUT it was not our error. We finally agreed to pay 1/3 of this fee to be done with this, but it's a shame that after paying them $40,000 for our kitchen, a $200 fee for their design error has caused us to view this company differently. They are 5 stars as far as craftmanship goes - their crew is wonderful and very skilled and the end product is high quality. Our kitchen is beautiful, but as far as them taking ownership for their errors, ahhhh, nope- 1 star.

Once again we find ourselves sitting at our new kitchen island doing two things, admiring the view and wondering how we ever managed with the old kitchen. The kitchen has been done for a few months now but we still are in awe of the project and how it has exceeded all of our expectations. What a wonderful team to work with at Kitchens Made Simple.

We shopped around and thought KMS would be a great deal for adding new cabinets and counter tops to our kitchen. We had them come over for a free measurement and were still interested in having them complete our work.

We got the remodeling bug after visiting the spring home show. We used Angie's List to find local kitchen remodelers. After talking with several remodelers about our plans we were most impressed by the willingness of the people at KMS to work with us and not push only their ideas.
