Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling

We ultimately did not work with Pittsburgh's Best on our project, thus this review cannot speak to the quality of work. We enjoyed our initial consultations, and the design work was excellent. Truly, they were frontrunners as we considered our options, but a few factors led us to select another company. First, the cost. Pgh's Best was the first company to provide us a full quote, which was on the higher end of what we were expecting.

This understandably increased as we made some modifications to the design specs. As we fielded other estimates for identical work however, Pittsburgh's Best came out as the most expensive by far; our second most expensive estimate was $14,000 below Pittsburgh's Best. Even then, we didn't shut the door completely, but issues with transparency and communication ultimately pushed us away.

The quote/scope of work document from Pittsburgh's best was extensive in its detail, though the only actual cost figure given was the grand total. I asked for an itemization, but was told that it was company policy not to provide this information. All of our other estimates provided this upfront, without having to ask. Especially considering the price difference, the refusal to show clients how their money is being spent is disingenuous, and certainly doesn't do much to build trust in the provider-client relationship.

To their credit, the owner reached out via voicemail to walk through the scope of work with and compare with the competitor's, at the very least to explain what accounted for such a drastic price difference. I returned his call and left a voice message. After a week of no response, I left another voicemail. In response I received a curt text message saying he'd call the next day.

That call was never returned. My overall perception is that Pittsburgh's Best does good work as noted in their testimonials. But the lack of communication and transparency alongside i substantial (and unaccounted for) price difference dropped them off of our list.

Got a quote from this company the women that I talked to was really ignorant after I told her that 49k was too much for my budget for a 10ft by 6ft kitchen. She told me the only way I was getting my kitchen done for 25k which is my budget, is if I get a few drunks from a bar. This women was completely unprofessional, all she had to say was they wouldn't be able to do it for that price.

Dylan was excellent and he was on time each and every morning. He installed the tile and the flooring in 2 bathrooms and did an outstanding job in both of them. For the floor in the larger bathroom he configured the tile into a beautiful pattern and I couldn't be happier with it. In the larger bathroom he painted and installed the wainscoating I chose and he painted the bathroom walls, ceiling, and linen closet.

In addition, he was very knowledgeable about construction in general and he was able to answer all of my questions. I am very happy with both bathrooms as everything was very well done. I would recommend Dylan to anyone.

I left a one star review here a couple days ago and now it seems to have magically disappeared. Basically, this company quoted me a ridiculous amount $70,000 for a bathroom remodel (when they had estimated me at 39,000-49,000 originally) after I left the bad review they called me and tried to bully me into taking my review down.

Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling worked hard with us to come up with a plan to fit our budget, and meet our needs that was beautiful. Our carpenter Dylan was great, always on time, worked well with my husband with questions and concerns and did a beautiful job. The whole team gave us and kept to a schedule unlike other contractors we have used in the past.

We recently had third floor bathroom built from scratch by PGH's best and could not happier with the workmanship and personel they sent to do the Job. It was a job that required many trips carrying heavy materials three flights of stairs in mid August ( without air condition ) but PGH best carpenter Michael never let it effect his work or his work ethnic.

He showed up for work everyday with a friendly and energetic attitude and took great pride in the work. He was meticulous in his planning of the tile work, never cutting corners or making excuses, he did it right! In addition to his commitment to doing the job right he left each day with a ritual cleaning practice that showed us he respected our home and making it more bearable as we were temporarily inconvenienced ( while living thru a major remodel project).

I can honestly say Michael is the reason we are so pleased with our new bathroom. However! I must add that everyone PGH Best sent to do work was first class. I highly recommend Pittsburghs best, their as good as its gets

Nate did a fantastic job start to finish. Are old pink, dark, and falling apart bathroom is now bright, modern, and amazing! Services: Install fan, Install flooring, Install drywall, Remodeling, Install water fixtures, Paint indoors, Install tile work

Michael did a wonderful job installing tile in our bathroom shower and replacing the vanity. He showed up on time and was very easy to work with. Renovating an older home from the 1920s is not always the easiest task, but Michael and the rest of the crew did great work. Additionally, the company was very helpful and responsive when an unforeseen issue arose, and it was taken care of in no time.

Everyone who worked on my bathroom remodel was courteous and considerate. Steve did the bulk of the work. His tiling skills are excellent and reflect his experience. He was very communicative and checked with me before making design decisions. The job foreman kept me apprised of the work schedule and notified me of any issues. The job was completed in the timeframe promised, which was very important to me since I had relatives visiting for the coming holiday. I highly recommend Pgh's Best Remodeling to anyone looking to remodel their home!

We could not be more pleased with how our powder room remodel turned out. First, everyone at Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling treated our little project like they were interested in what we wanted and did everything they could to help us achieve it. The selection process went smoothly, scheduling was predictable and Pittsburgh's Best easily worked around travel we had scheduled in the middle of the project.

All the workers were courteous and left the workspace clean at the end of each. Everyone did a terrific job in their respective roles. Michael and Troy in particular worked hard to get everything perfect and they were a pleasure to have in our home. When I was not completely pleased with the color of the floor Michael installed, he quickly called in Lee who brought samples for me to consider and was entirely gracious about starting over again to try to get a better match to our existing floor. After such success with our small project we look forward to working again with Pittsburgh's Best to accomplish some larger projects in the future.

We've had the pleasure of working with Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling for several months on a major home remodel of our Squirrel Hill home (built in 1921). We completely remodeled the kitchen, master bath and Jack and Jill bathroom on the 2nd floor. I've said many times that we've worked with a fantastic contractor when I've shared PBR's contact information or details on our remodel with friends and colleagues.

As one co-worker pointed out, "fantastic" and "contractor" are two words generally not used in the same sentence. We interviewed 3 different contractors, all coming in around the same price point. I had used PBR in the past for small jobs and, after interviewing them again, we felt confident that they could take on the substantial remodel challenge.

We were not disappointed. The entire team has been completely professional and excellent to work with throughout the entire process. Their dedication to complete customer satisfaction and attention to detail has been evident from start to finish. Not only are they professionals and excellent at their craft, they are truly a joy to work with every day. I would absolutely recommend Casey and his staff for any job and am confident that they will excel in every way.

I had several projects completed by Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling and I am delighted with all of them: addition/sunroom, master bath remodel, kitchen remodel, guest bath partial remodel and replacing carpet with laminate in most of the house. Communication was great - I had a project manager liaison as primary contact (Jim) and Casey kept an eye on the progress as well.

The people who did the work at my house were courteous, professional, highly skilled and trustworthy. Without reservation, I recommend Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling and I am sure I will be asking them to do additional projects for me in the future.

Rating of salespeople. Scheduled at Home Show weeks in advance. I was out of town for a weekend when I received messages on home phone that they would not show unless I returned call. I had come back home specifically for that appointment.

Pittsburgh's Best provided exterior painting, gutters and replacement of a deck for my business. They were extremely professional, punctual and very fairly priced (I got several quotes for these projects).

Casey the owner came out to review my project. He was very professional and explained how he operates very well. I especially liked that his workers are employees, not contractors. He sent me the estimate for the job sooner than he anticipated.

I have used Pittsburgh's Best Remodeling several times in the past 5 years. Each of the divisions do an excellent job. It is a pleasure to work with the painters. I just needed to pick the color of paint then let them in.
