Long established business that is great for Orientals or large, even extremely large rugs. They clean, deodorize, repair and protect them. Plus they will come to your home or business to pick up your rug; including move all the furniture off of it, roll it up and put it in their truck. Nice polite professional people too.

Ten stars! My recent experience with Zakian Rug Cleaning is one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I don't usually do reviews, but I really wanted to share how professional they were with every single thing to do with the job. They called me back promptly, the same person every time, picked up on schedule, notified me as the job progressed and dropped off on the day they promised.

The rug cleaning and repair were done perfectly! I have already recommended Zakian to two neighbors as well as my daughter, who runs a residential cleaning service, for her clients.

Original post: Super disappointed with their customer service. I dropped my rug off because it didn't meet the minimum $ amount. No problem. Never heard from them for over a month and had to call in, which is when I found out that they don't call you when it's done.

Would have been great if this was ever communicated to me. Woman on the phone was super rude. Still haven't gotten the rug back because despite driving back over during hours THEIR WEBSITE said they were open, they were closed and did not answer the phone. Have to now try driving 40 min a third time just for this small rug. Not worth the hassle, try somewhere else.

Do NOT take your oriental rugs here. They had my rugs for over 6 weeks because I had to keep sending them back. Every time they returned them, I would vacuum them and have a PILE of dirt in my vacuum from EACH rug. The final time, I displayed by brand clean vacuum cannister to the delivery crew and then vacuumed a portion of one rug while they watched.

They couldn't believe the dirt. The son has taken over and is not running the business properly. Picture shows dirt piles vacuumed from each of the rugs after one of the returns. They agreed to refund my $1300 plus, however, my rugs are now falling apart (fringes are literally disintegrating and I have an excess amount of fibers in my vacuum after vacuuming), and there are permanent creases in the rugs. They have destroyed them. $1300 will not cover the cost to replace even one of the rugs. Beware!

Top Notch Customer service! Zakian's is a family-owned Gem that puts customer satisfaction first. They offer free pick-up/drop-off service (location dependent) which is super convenient. I sent three large rugs to Zakians, one of which had some heavy pet stains- all came back to me fresh and clean. (Be sure to request the deoderizer to make your rugs extra fresh- its worth it!) We had two rugs cleaned and one repaired. The staff that picked up and delivered our rugs were polite, friendly and very conscious of keeping our home clean. They were very efficient and unrolled the cleaned rugs at our specified location; the rugs looked and smelled wonderful - like brand new. But most amazing was the repair job on the fringe and side edging of our antique rug. It now looks beautiful - we could not be happier with the quality of the repair and at such a reasonable price.

I have used Zakian Rug Cleaning many times in the past and have always been satisfied. I recently sent 9 rugs for cleaning and repair and just received them back. The fact that they pick up and delivery is a bonus!. I have not had the time to unwrap and inspect each of the rugs as of yet but I do expect to have the same result and satisfaction as I had in the past. From the moment I contacted Zakian about cleaning two large oriental rugs, a foyer and hall oriental, I've been impressed with their professionalism. The staff is very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. The men who picked up & dropped off the rugs were very pleasant, efficient, and professional. The roads were just returned Friday rolled and tied; they have a fresh scent. I'm extremely pleased with their service and would definitely recommend them to anyone contemplating having the roads cleaned.

From start to finish a very good experience. My very old, maybe 100 years, oriental carpet was picked as scheduled and returned as scheduled. Delivery men were polite and professional. Carpet had odors from my small dogs and I smell no hint of that anymore and it looks great! I'd use Zakian again and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend.

We were extremely happy with the service and how well Zakian cleaned our Persian rug. They picked up and dropped off exactly when they said they would. The phone service was very efficient. And the rug came out beautifully. It had gone through many dog accidents (urine, feces and a dog who died on it) and it looked brand new. I highly recommend Zakian.

Zakian has been cleaning my rugs for years. I have more than a dozen, so, . However, over the last couple of years, things have changed. They have come back with streaks, or not all that clean. The thing is, it's a rug; it will be dirty again soon enough; so I didn't pay too much attention. Unfortunately, this time the tassels came back shredded and frayed, very upsetting as I had just paid to have them replaced last year. $$$;and, they actually shrank one of them so badly it is now too small for my foyer and will need to be replaced. It's disappointing, but, I don't think I can recommend them anymore.

I had a great experience from all that I came in contact with while dropping my rug off and picking it up. The rug had a bad pet smell when i dropped it off. I picked it up brought it home and it looks and smell great. I will use them again in the future

I have used Zakian on several ocassions for carpet cleaning and they have done an outstanding job. They got what I think was actually an oil stain or something similar off a carpet that had been on it for years and after many attempts by us and another company to clean it up. You can't even tell it was there it basically vanished! They are a little pricey but if you want a really good and really deep clean they do an excellent job and are worth it.

Bob and his knowledgeable team are absolutely the best. Always do a wonderful job from prompt pickup and delivery to expert cleaning and repair. Wouldn't think of using anyone else. Thank you for always delivering exceptional service.

I have used Zakian Carpet cleaning for 10 or more years. They have serviced my carpets with great care. They notify me of little mending jobs they notice & repair them if I ask. Reliable service.

I typically don't write many reviews but they keep emailing me to do so so here it is. My cat peed on my Afghan rug because he had a UTI. I purchase the cleaning, deodorizer, and scotch guard for around $300. It came back with a masked smell. When I called to say the smell is still in the rug the lady was extremely rude and said something to the affect of "I'm not going to say anything about the animal." Alluding something negative about my cat which I found unprofessional.

I let it go and tried to be nice to the women but she still has an attitude hoping they would clean again (which they did) but the smell was still there when it came back a second time. Ultimately we got rid of the rug but I would never go here again based on the customer service I experienced.

Free pick up and delivery - and timely. They just cleaned and demothed 7 Oriental rugs and cleaned 3 others. While I haven't had the time to look at them all, the ones I have looked at are wonderfully cleaned and in good condition. They did a great job!

Polite staff, from arranging appointment via initial call and estimate, to pick up and delivery of my three rugs. Rugs were picked up, cleaned and delivered on time and the results were very satisfactory. (We have an old dog, which made Zakian's cleaning more difficult and we were still happy with the results)

Door to door service. They not only cleaned my handmade rugs, but they repaired them. They did an excellent job.

They took away a dirty rug and returned a dirty rug. $211 and I had to send it back after unrolling it.

I had a very bad experience with Zakian and instead of trying to resolve the matter, they ignored me and I had to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I found a much better and more experienced company who also has better customer service, Material Culture, they also sell rugs so they are a more experienced resource and the price was much better than Zakian.

Picked-up my rug bedizened with dog vomit. Brought my rug back a week later looking like new.

Was about to get rid of my 22 year old cream colored wool area rug. Was convinced there was no way the ground in dirt could come out or if it was even affordable. I decided to give it a try with Zakian. I am so thrilled! ALL the ground in dirt came out, the only thing left behind were a few small stains that they addressed that couldn't come out but they are barely noticeable. I am so thrilled and the rug I love is back and not in the trash heap! I will definitely recommend your company to all.

We called Zakian Rug Cleaning and they were able to come the same day to pick up our oriental rug for a cleaning. The rug was returned and restored like new. This was a 4th generation rug so it was important for us that the company handling the rug was someone we could trust.
