In 1996, Brian Ulsh began cutting grass as a way to make extra income after school. He believed that by offering a quality service at a reasonable price, he could give his clients their most valuable commodity back to them. their time. As time went on Brian noticed the perception that most of his clients had of landscapers was a negative one. Striving to perform contrary to their normal expectations, he continued learning all he could about the "Green Industry" and what his clients' wants and needs were.

All undesirable plant material growing in mulch beds are controlled by mechanical or chemical means. For all chemical applications, a licensed technician applies a non-selective herbicide to the leaf of the undesirable plant, causing it to wilt away within 1 - 2 weeks.

Installation

All plant materials chosen for jobs are nursery grown and cared for. They all come with a limited one year warranty from date of installation. All plant material is planted by team members who have been trained in proper planting procedures. When necessary, soil will be amended with products to ensure health and vigor of the plant. Mulch is then applied around plant.

Design

Our Landscape Architect will make an appointment with you to sit down and go over your needs. After listening to your ideas, he will make recommendations of plant material and products that will both enhance the aesthetical appearance and thrive in the landscape.

Lawn Care

Each lawn application program consists of six scheduled visits per year. Payment is due within thirty days from the date in which we serviced your lawn. We schedule our visits between five and nine week cycles. We periodically check lawns between visits; however, if there is a change in the condition of your lawn please feel free to call us.

Maintenance

The Lawn Barber offers lawn mowing as a premier lawn maintenance service in Hampton, Newport News, and the surrounding areas. Before each mowing, trash and debris will be removed. Mowing will be performed every 7-14 days, depending on growth rate.
