Bill's Lock & Key

We were stranded while driving cross country for a family vacation, thank goodness Bill's Lock and Key was able to help get us going again.

I was really pleased with Bill's today - they coded a new car door lock cylinder to my car's original key in around 30 minutes for only $45. This was close to 1/3rd the price of another quote, and close to 1/4th the price at the dealer. Service was great! I'll be back for any locksmith needs.

Highly recommend! Excellent service and super knowledgeable staff. Their help was invaluable in getting my key situation under control after my car was stolen. My car's ignition and locks were replaced so I received new keys from my mechanic that weren't programmed. They were able to get my previous set of keys working so I didn't even need the new ones. I'm forever grateful!

If you're ever in my key situation skip the dealership and head here first. It's more reasonably priced and your overall customer experience will be ten times better.

Quick and efficient service on duplicating a car key/fob that required re-programming the original. There is no shortage of personnel to speed you on your way in this store, but they all seem to be busy!

A week ago I stopped by in search of a spiral wrist key chain. The young man who assisted me was both polite and efficient in finding exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate good customer service, and will be a loyal patron of Bill's. Good job!

I went to Bill's locks and keys to make a key. The staff was very fast at Bill's locks and key. Looks like you can buy a gun safe and other safes here. They also sell everything about keys. I'll go back to Bill's lock and key again for my key needs.

I lost my only car key at the casino and no one turned them in. Bill's lock and key gave me detailed information to be able to replace my key rather than re- key all if my locks. And saved me a bunch of money. Will being using them in the future for sure.

The only good thing from my rough week was finding Bill's lock & key and receiving EXCELLENT Service from Mr Bill and his crew. My ignition cylinder was broken due to theft attempt. The dealership took two days just to give me an outrageously overpriced estimate whereas Bill's dispatcher Katrina told me the precise service costs right away over the phone.

They got my ignition fixed in less than hour. Everyone was communicative, courteous and professional along the way. Thank you so much for your honest and professional service!

Great customer service, and great prices any key you need they got it. Fist time here and the staff dropped everything they were doing to asked me how I could he helped I was greeted with a smile and the atmosphere here was positive and calm I may lose a key or two on purpose just to come back

The best key copy experience I've ever had, ever! I had a few uniquely shaped keys I needed cut and I tried visiting a few places in Albuquerque where I was told the cuts probably couldn't be done. I wasn't hopeful that I'd be able to use these. When I walked into this place, they completed my cuts within MINUTES. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it! I am so stoked! Fantastic service. Jason, the tech who worked on my house, was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond and spent extra time on making sure my locks were working perfectly before he left. I'll recommend Bill's to my friends 100%.

I was barely in the door when someone was at the counter greeting me, taking my order, and making my keys. Other employees came to the counter to take care of new customers who came in right after me. Everyone seemed to be busy, not waiting around, yet there was no wait for the customers. I appreciated that. Plus it was close to closing time but everyone was taken care of.

Bill's was recommended to me by a friend. The key to my dodge Ram broke off in the ignition and I needed it put in to a new fab. I brought it to Bill's and I had a new key and case within 10 mins. They are responsibly priced and gave me outstanding customer service. I could not recommend them more!

I just called Bill's Lock and Key to fix a problem with a door handle that was not working properly. Before scheduling service they suggested that I try lubricating the lock with WD-40 and provided some easy steps to follow. In a few minutes I had the handle working all of the sticking and locking up was corrected. This really says something about the integrity of Bill's. These guys were great. They programmed a Ram Limited key fob for me before I had a chance to sit down to wait, literally it took the guy less than five minutes to program the fob and cut the spare key. Dealership wanted $25 more to do it and wanted me to leave the truck for the day. They guy who did the work was polite and efficient, I was worried they wouldn't be able to do it, like I said it was done before I even sat down.

Great place, fast service. I brought them my late 70s van ignition and door lock and they were able to get me new keys in a couple hrs.

I recently lost the keys to my shed and headed over to Bill's Lock and Key. Unfortunately the shed manufacturer didn't publish the key code online, so the staff had to make a few different different keys based on the shed manufacturers that did publish codes, and there were at least 100. As it turns out, I needed to bring in the lock from the shed and the staff was able to create a new key. YAY! Everyone was very helpful and friendly, and truly wanted to solve the problem. I appreciate their expertise and highly recommend Bill's Lock and Key.

Very fast and very helpful. Had one of our two cars really being difficult about accepting another key. They were diehard in their attempts to fix it. Ended up getting it to work! Was great. Will visit again for sure.

Great friendly service, quick and affordable. They made me 3 motorcycle keys about $7 each, way cheaper than dealer.

The fellow who made my keys for me, if he were to smile his face would probably break! But, he was friendly fast and efficient! And the best part? When I presented him with a card that said please check ID, he is the 1st person in a long time to do so! I'll be back if I need more help with keys. Keep up the good work guys!

I was wearing a mask as folks during a pandemic and was ignored by about six employees. They helped customers that came in after me while I was standing at the counter. Finally some asked he if I had been help. I said, "No and you've helped other customers that came in after me". I was told next time I should ask for help. Blaming the customers must be their go to argument.

Typically a customer standing at the counter would be an indication that they are there to spend money. Then I paid with a credit card and was asked for ID while other customers doing the same were not. No apology offered. I'll let you do the math from here.

Avery was able to cut and program keys for my 2018 Ford Focus with ease. He was fast and professional. The price was right and I will definitely be back!

Called to get a key cut and programmed for my truck. Was told over the phone that I would need to be there before 4pm to have the key programmed. Drove an hour (I don't live in Albuquerque) to get there. Was 3:45pm when I walked into the shop. The employee told me that they don't program keys that late in the day. I told him that I had called and was told to be there before 4:00pm.

He suggested I come back another day but earlier in the day. I drove my truck an hour to get there! Wasted time and gas for nothing. So disappointed. I will find a locksmith closer to where I live to have the key cut and programmed.

I had a broken back door lock. The man came right on time to fix it and it was a fair price. I would use Bills Lock and Key again in the future!

Have always had excellent service from Bill's Lock and Key. Today I brought in two new transponder keys fobs (purchased online) with integral cut keys for my new to me Nissan Leaf. The new key fobs were checked for proper operation, then all three were programmed into the car and verified before the two new manual key blanks were cut. By my estimate, I saved around 80% of what the dealership would have charged. Previously, Bill's has been my go to source for medium security common keyed American padlocks for TSA approved firearms cases.

Just went by Bill's and was turned away for service. The tone and helpfulness was not there like it used to be. I was told he WOULD ONLY HELP CURRENT CUSTOMERS with replacing a very simple Cam. I was sent to Heights lock and key, and told to leave he refused to answer any questions. SHOCKING BEHAVIOR! I do not recommend this store unless your a current, or repeat customer.

I have been to this location before and they helped me out so I thought I return to see if they can help once again. I needed a golf cart key; however, the key that I had was not your usual key for an EZGO cart. I was waited on immediately and the tech matched two possible keys sizes right away. He made the keys and I was on my way within ten minutes. The keys were a match and they worked, I was so relieved to finally have spares. I highly recommend this business.

I've used Bill's for a few years now, and until today, I've been happy. BUT today ended my going to Bill's for keys. Probably the same is now true for any major jobs like updating and replacing the locks at our home or rental. I needed 1 key to match 3 matching keys I had on my ring and 3 keys each to match two other individual keys on the same ring.

I wanted to take the necessary 3 keys off the ring to eliminate confusion. The worker insisted that wasn't needed because it was easier for him. His first try, he completely missed one of the keys I wanted & claimed I didn't say i wanted it, but he remained cordial and tried again. That still didn't work since on the second pass we mutually missed one of the keys.

On the 3rd try, I ended up with two extra keys I didn't need, but at least I had all the keys I started out to get (7). I wasn't happy about it, but did not want to go thru another round of confusion. So I blew off the $6 loss and left before I said something mean. Randall King

This is one of places one just never appreciates until you need them. I'll admit it. And after taking them some very tricky locks/problems to resolve.they did just that. I can't thank them enough.seriously. I'm not one to go outside the "food" rhelm to often and do a review but this experience certainly earned it. Great service. Recently experienced an attempted break in that left my door damaged and unable to be locked. Called and was told it was the weekend I would have to wait for the after hours tech. About an hour later got a call telling me they had finished another job early and would be heading over. Got my door repaired and lock replaced with very minimal inconvenience and at a reasonable rate. Thank you for getting us back secure!

I've been to Bill's Lock and Key a couple of times now, once to buy a couple of things and then also to have a duplicate key made for my car. It's a newer car with a transponder key so the price tag on a duplicate can be alarming. Bill's had to order the key in but quoted a good price so I went with them. When they got the new key in, they discovered that there'd been a mix-up with the ordering and they'd actually ordered in the wrong key, but they had the correct one in stock.

The correct one should have actually cost a bit more but they waived the difference, so I guess I lucked out a bit. They had the new key cut and programmed into my car very quickly, and it works just fine now. They have a pretty big staff, so I never had to wait long to talk to a locksmith. As for the other visit, I needed a padlock and wanted to get something better than a $15 Wal-Mart Master lock.

They have a good range of padlocks from Abus on a rack and I believe they also stock American Padlock behind the counter. The prices were reasonable, and they also had a lot of accessories to match - hasps, door hardware, and some industrial-duty key reels. Somehow it took to my third visit to notice that they sell safes as well. there's quite a few on display. They're also a dealer for some high-security brands if you have something you seriously want to lock up - I believe I saw a mul-t-lock display for example.

I had a pair of duplicate keys made for my Sprinter van here and the price was very reasonable for keys with transponders that are not readily available at most shops. This shop looks like they carry a lot of inventory of different key types. They had several people busy working there. I was in and out in a short time. Definitely looks like a go to place.

The tech that arrived was punctual and professional. He rekeyed 4 doors in no time and explained all his work along the way. I was extremely pleased and impressed with the quality of the work for the price.

I wanted to thank Bill's for the great service. My mom is elderly and I am here in San Diego. So I was happy to hear from her that she was treated with courtesy and respect when she went there to get an electronic key replaced.

I purchased a car key copy with a chip ($90) and it didn't work so I took it back to get it corrected. The man that helped me was a manager or better and he complained of the cost to Bill's Lock & Key and grumbled the whole time about fixing it.

Needed to have a car key duplicated. He gave me a test key to make sure it would work before cutting the new special order key I was using. Still works perfectly and he didn't even charge for the test key he let me keep.

I had a costly experience with this shop. While taking almost an hour and complaining bitterly about coding a new key for a Nissan, the technician neglected to ask if I had any other keys. A few days later I used an older key that hadn't been recoded, which unbeknownst to me, sent the car into a lockdown mode.
