Recently purchased a home from Japhet. They have been extremely responsive and helpful when it comes to repairs that needed to be made. Even the smallest of issues they have had someone come out and make updates.

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! Jeff Japhet should be ashamed of his greed, and his company should be prosecuted for the loss they have caused to families. They promised us a home and then set us up for failure. They don't care about anything other than their bottom line. Their own staff members are leaving them because if their unethical and immoral practices.

They make you sign the contract without disclosing that you're supposed to finish selections within 30days. They don't give you any design appointments within that time frame. When your home is almost complete, they send you a letter pressuring you for more money ($90,000-120,000!) or threatening to cancel your contract. They wouldn't talk to us on the phone and refused to meet with us. During the construction, they downgraded everything that was originally promised. IF YOU END UP BUYING A HOME FROM THEM, YOU'D BE SUING THEM WITHIN 6 MONTHS. You're welcome.

Japhet designed, managed and built my new home. I am so proud of my new home in a beautiful subdivision. The sales representative was not only friendly and helpful but responded to every request. This is by far the worst experience I have had. They are rude and unprofessional. It is absolutely impossible to speak with anyone referencing your concerns. They will only communicate through email and text.you pick up the phone to call no answer! It's ridiculous. Once Japhet gets your money they will ignore your calls and refuse to speak with you.

The whole warranty process is a joke.put in a request and it takes 6 months to a year for it to be addressed and even then they fail to follow through. They will do anything to pinch their way out of correcting their mistakes. Initially I thought it was just me but I have spoken with other home owners and they are treated the same. Save yourself a headache and find a reputable builder! The reviews you see hold truth!

Cheap labor, poor supervisors, terrible internal processes. They should build two models with no changes. Any changes will only further there reputation of a terrible, woefully incapable custom builder. They're not ready for that responsibility. Appreciate them for who they are, small time contractor wanting to be custom builder....no so fast. Custom builder is another level. This is honestly...if you didn't know, now you know.

Critical: Quality They don't have any class. Small time operation, trash, time wasting, and no value. Don't waste your time.

Please do not waste your money on purchasing a house from this builder! They hire people who do a poor job constructing the home and do not stand by their work. We had only been living in our home for a short time when we first began having issues. Many deficiencies have been discovered since then. Their policy for repairs is to request a service call on their website that is NEVER answered.

We have been calling, texting and e-mailing them for THREE weeks regarding a leak in the roof of our five year old home. Yes, I'm sure they are busy building other houses - yet they can't guarantee the work on the ones already built. These people have no shame! If you are looking to purchase a home from a reputable company that takes pride in their business and builds quality homes, LOOK ELSEWHERE!

I have taken my clients to the Japhet family to build their home. Everyone has been very pleased with the way they listened to their needs and wants. My clients have really liked their attention to detail and prompt warranty service.

Horrible process with very little interest in the customer experience. Check with the state comptroller and record all your conversations to ensure you are getting what you ask for.
