First and foremost, the workmanship is great. However, the customer service stinks. I had to call multiple times, and always got the same answer, " I will call you back within the hour". Not so! When I signed my contract, I paid half down, and was told they were a few weeks out on schedule. Understandable, but then it was delay after delay, and poor if any communication.
Start times were exaggerated, and when I did reach someone, my complaints were met with attitude. Within an hour of completing the work, I received a call asking for the balance due. Again, the work is good, but the owners and managers have alot to learn about how to treat customers.

The absolute worst service I have experienced in my life! Stay away from doing business with this company. I requested assistance in repairs that were covered by the manufacture. I called, emailed and texted the owner for months. They would reply but never follow through. A year long process, I contacted the manufacturer directly and they shipped a replacement gate directly to my home.
Although I did all of the work, Cardinal Fence scheduled to come and install on 8 occasions and never did! AGAIN, WORST SERVICE IN A LIFE TIME! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAD BUSINESS.

I probably could have left a half decent review if I hadn't just discovered the company made an unauthorized debit from my bank account for $700+ Office called me 4 hours or so after installing was completed to pay bill. No invoice was ever provided as far as I can remember and certainly not on that day. I was in a meeting and let office know I needed to move some money around and would call back.
My job is demanding and I didn't get a chance to call back, but had every intention of doing so on Monday. Since no communications had been sent by email and their website is down, I couldn't follow up after hours. 48hrs later, I see they have used the card I provided for deposit to pull $700+ from my account throwing me into overdraft because I hadn't had enough time to move money around yet. Unprofessional and likely illegal.
If they are that concerned with immediate payment, an invoice should be provided on the day of completion before installers leave. Honestly, an invoice should be provided period. To add insult to injury, they didn't contact me when they were here and post holes were drilled before I had a chance to talk to them. The entire purpose of gate is to keep my dog in, but a dog sized gap exists between post and fence. Had they knocked on my door on arrival or even called before arrival we could have discussed. Im very unhappy.

My fence and gate are around 6 months old now and broken. I have had problems with this company since day one when I came home to the wrong fence panels and gate. My request was I wanted exactly what my neighbor just had put up by this company. It really stands out because the lines where the two fences meet are crooked. The standard product they used for me is not the standard they used on my neighbors yard but a cheaper looking product!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. Came out to quote us for building a fence on the back side of our property where there are cable lines. We called and had the ground marked when they came to quote so they could see what they had to work around. They said they could do it and sent us a quote. We put a down payment and had it scheduled to be built a few weeks later.
The day they come to build it, the workers dug three holes and then the lead guy "hurt his back" and they had to leave. The company calls us back saying that the job is really complicated and it was hot and that's why the guys left. which is not what the guys on site told us, so they lied. Then they send another guy out to see what the big deal is about and he tells us for some reason they can't do the job anymore!

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness They came out pretty quickly to give me an estimate for the repair of a section of fence and the guy told me he would see what they could do. Well, I guess they didn't want to bother with such a small job so, they never called me back. I sent a couple of emails but no one bothered to respond. Very unprofessional and disrespectful.

Called to get a little information. spoke with a gentleman that was very short with me rude and kind a disrespectful was trying to explain to him what I had. He would not listen to what I was telling him. Was just kind of rude and I did not appreciate that. I'm a professional contractor myself and I sometimes know that you just have to listen because we do not know everything. so far not good I hope the install goes better if I decide to use them!

I would not recommend them from a project management at all. We signed a contract in Jan, started working finally end of March after several calls to the company (Pete). Pete does not follow thru with anything that he said he was going to do as a service. I had to several times call/email and just to get workers out here and even the worker guys said management tried to keep them away from the job. Needless to say, they have caller ID and use it well to screen calls.
They will not call back, show up to finish a job. They don't care about you or the job, they only care about the deposit money and not finishing what they started. ** no complaint on the actual work.to what was done

I had a small job by most standards. Apparently too small for most fence companies to even offer an estimate. All I needed was an 8 ft board fence erected in the back corner of my yard to prevent a Cane Corso from devouring my toy poodle or one of my young grandchildren. It broke through my old 6 ft fence and nearly killed my dog. Fortunately we were able to free him from the jaws of that beast and rush him to the vet.
Long story. Sorry. Cardinal Fence came out and put up the fence. It took a few days longer than expected but it's January, it's been wet and cold so I'm good with the time frame. The guys on the job were extremely professional and much neater than I might have been. Love the fence and if I ever need another down the road I won't entertain another estimate but theirs. Can't be more pleased with the product, craftsmanship or the craftsmen,

If you use this company you will regret it. Ordered a fence in June 2020. Was told 6 weeks for material and install. The owner lied and lied about when the fence was coming. Every two weeks if I could get in touch with him he would say 2 more weeks. Found out from the supplier that the owner didn't even order the fence until 4 weeks after I gave my deposit to him.
Half the time the company doesn't answer the phone. The owner will tell you he will call you back and doesn't. (Pete) the owner had every excuse imaginable. From a sick horse to he was sick. He said one time the fence was there and then didnt call back or answer my calls for a month. Only to find out from the supplier that the fence was never there. I'm telling you to RUN. i was lucky that I used a Visa card for my deposit was was able to get that back. Had I wrote a check I would be screwed right now. RUN!

RUN!!! These people are unreal! While working with their rep to get a quote for a 6ft privacy fence, I asked questions about how the installation is done during one follow up phone call. I was concerned that they were only going to put 2ft of the post in the ground when industry standard is 3ft. For strength against winds, NOT referring to the frost line.
Then suddenly their rep said, "we're withdrawing our bid, you're going to micro-manage this and we don't need that".

So if you're ok with not knowing a thing about what you're getting for $7000, then these people are for you (good luck). Otherwise if you want to know something about what you're paying for - RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Cardinal has horrible customer service all over the web.

I recently had the unfortunate experience to hire Cardinal Fence & Security to complete a small fencing project. As I was in desperate need for the fence, the salesman, Guy, stated the project could be completed in one day by putting a substance into the concrete to make it cure faster. Therefore, the entire project was scheduled to be completed on a Tuesday.
The contracted installer knew nothing of this when he brought only poles on Tuesday and stated they never use the "fast cure" product. After explaining my urgent need, the professional and competent installer took over and agreed to finish my fencing the next day versus three days (Friday) later as scheduled by the company. Calling the company's management only confirmed I was dealing with an incompetent and disorganized company who'll tell the customer anything to complete the sale.
I was treated as an inconvenience or as I was wrong for wanting the fence installed as originally quoted. The lack of concern, urgency or professionalism on Cardinal Fence & Security's management's part only confirms why their service is so poor. If you want a reliable fencing company, stay away from this one.

I called them to get a new estimate because we were going to change some things around. I still liked the price and we decided to go with them. I called to get it all set up. They called back and I missed them so I called back the next day and left a message with the person who did my estimate. Nothing.
I called a week later and left another message. Nothing. A month later, they still hadn't called me and I went and got an estimate from another company and I'm all set up to go with them to build my fence. The people at Cardinal are friendly and easy to deal with, but I'm not going to continue to call and beg them to take my money. I don't have the time or patience for that.

We worked with Guy at Cardinal Fence. He was quick to respond and provided us with the best price of the 3 companies I looked at. They set the posts on a Monday and came back on Thursday to put up the fence. I actually called Monday morning to see if they could set some extra posts for me so I could put up a picket fence myself and they were happy to do so and at a reasonable price. The fence is up and looks GREAT. Every time an neighbor walks by, they complement the work. We are very happy with the entire process.

We used Cardinal Fence to install a privacy fence on our new house and we loved the results! I did not interact with the owner, but my husband did. He got several quotes from other fencing businesses in Lou and Cardinal's price and estimated date of completion was better than all the others. They told us it would take two to three weeks from the day of the bid.
The workers who came out had it finished so fast. They came to put in the fence posts on a Friday night and the fence was completely finished on Monday afternoon. The guys who did the work were so friendly and we hardly even saw them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence!

This company was hired to install a fence on August 29th at my parents home. Completion date was suppose to be completed by September 4th. When they did original install they put in the wrong gate and did not fully complete the job. Within a few weeks of the gate still not being in they put in an old gate temporarily. When they put the replacement gate in they found out the fence was incorrectly installed and they would have to tear down and re-install.
It is now October and They still do not have gate ordered, the old incorrectly installed fence is still standing. They have no called no show scheduled appointments for the last two weeks and now they (Pete) are not returning my parents phone calls. They have collected 50 percent of the money up front. This company has been inefficient, shown terrible customer care skills and seem to be borderline criminal.
I truly hope they resolve this issue. But my parents fear they will not. They are already checking to see if other fencing companies can fix this as they are expecting this company to completely bail out on the job.

We called them after seeing a fence similar to what we were looking for with their sign on it, and once we mentioned it, they knew exactly what we were talking about. As far as customer service, the folks at Cardinal Fence were knowledgable, friendly, and took the time to listen to our needs.
They expedited our installation and made an appointment within just a few days, and the install itself only took a matter of hours. We also had a chain link fence we shared with our neighbors, which they removed and were able to not interfere with our neighbor's fencing. We generally do not have any complaints of Cardinal Fence, other than pertaining to our dogs.
We were adamant that our front gate have a spring so it snaps back to latch if someone forgets to close the gate (we live on a very busy street), and neither the spring nor automatic latch were installed. There were also large gaps left under our fencing in both the front and backyard, requiring us to do additional work to close the gaps. I'm sure they would've fixed these things had we noticed it sooner, but we overlooked it initially as I was at work when installed.
Regardless, I would confidently recommend Cardinal Fence and use them again!

I called to get an estimate on replacing my chain link gate on my driveway, I spoke to a gentleman named Pete who quoted me a price of around $ 275.00. After not hearing anything from him for a week I called back and he said he would get back to me in a few days. After not hearing from him again I called back a few more times and now he is either out of his office, on another line, or at lunch. Absolutely horrible customer service. If they didn't want to do the job just let me know not give me the run around.

After much research I chose the Cardinal Fence company to replace my wood fence. I made this decision after speaking to the owner Leah about my concerns for the safety of my dog during the process. She was very understanding, we put in place procedures for the safety of my dog during the two day process. We agreed I would pay extra to have a temporary chain link fence with poles in concrete blocks placed before the old wood fence was taken down.
The temporary fence was to be installed the day prior to the fence being removed to ensure the fence could protect my dog. The process was to take two days. One for removal and setting the posts and the next day to install the remaining fence. NOTHING we agreed to occurred. They did not show up the day they were scheduled to install the temporary fence.
When they showed up, I discussed in detail how the temporary fence was to be constructed. After leaving and taking my dog for a walk and running errands. I returned to see they did not install the temporary fence in anyway near how we discussed. A whole 20 ft section was not covered, however, they had already removed the old fence. As I was preparing for work, they left without completing the temporary fence.
I called the office, no answer and no call back. I had to take the time to fix the back area of my house so that my dog, when exiting the pet door could not get to the temporary fence. I called them on Monday, still no answer or call back. On Monday when returning from work to determine the fence was not complete. I called and was told that I would love the fence when it was done and the delay would be resolved on Tuesday.
I informed them of my concerns with the way the temporary fence was done and instructed then when entering my yard to complete they must make certain the secondary fence to keep my dog in the back part of the yard must be secured. Tuesday I returned home from work to find the fence still was not complete. I called again and was given inadequate reasoning but was instructed it would be completed on Wednesday.
I returned home Wednesday after work to see that the fence still was not complete and that my dog was not home. After searching everywhere I was able to determine that the secondary fence was not secured properly when the workers entered the yard. I believe this negligence allowed my dog to enter the yard where the improper temporary fence was installed and she escaped.
This was on March 22. The fence was finally completed on March 23, six days after the start of the process. Cardinal Fence and their workers negligence on following proper procedures as discussed in our initial agreement was a result in the lose of my beloved dog, Jasmine. I called to talk to them to discuss the negligence and the affect of their inconsiderate actions of my requests and the effects of my life being altered due to their actions.
The way I was spoken to and the disrespect of the owner is unbearable. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. Their work is sloppy and their negligence for professionalism is abundantly clear.
